“Once again, Jessica was fantastic! We are so happy we booked her to watch our 16 year old dog. She sent daily photos, updates, and was easy to communicate with. Jessica made sure to give our old pup her meds every day, and gave her extra love. Neela was very happy and comfortable in our own home. We were so pleased. Thank you!”

About: I have been fortunate enough to have had animals most of my life. These have ranged from dogs, rabbits, chickens, horses, cows, and fish. I have volunteered time at a wildlife rehab and also worked a few years at a dog daycare facility that would average about 50 dogs a day. I have a bachelors degree in Animal behavior, ecology and conservation. I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. I currently have 2 rabbits and a dog. I am a substitute teacher so my schedule is rather flexible. It allows me to arrange my week how I need it. My afternoons are usually pretty open. I will ensure that each pet is safe, secure and well taken care of in the comfort of their own home while providing updates to their families.
About: I’ve taken care of, rehomed and have rehabbed dogs for quite a few years. I’ve taken in special needs dogs, and dogs that have had behavioral problems and have worked with them to reach their full potential. I love watching my family and friends animals and give them all of the comfort and loving they need. Oh, and also all of the snuggles! I believe in being able to read a dogs body language to make sure that they can be as comfortable as can be! I enjoy walking dogs and letting them sniff as much as they want for mental stimulation and to make sure they can be physically fit as much as possible. I’m currently working per diem at a nursing home. I’m looking to take up another job that I absolutely adore to fit into my schedule! I love to have a detailed list of the dogs needs and wants. I’m comfortable with crating animals and giving them positive rewards for good behavior! It’s all about positive reinforcement! I love to make sure your animal is as well taken care of as possible. I’m okay with using a few different tools for walking dogs as well.
“Mary is the best! She is super kind, patient, and reliable. I appreciate all the photos and feedback she gives when watching our dog! She truly seems to love spending time with our dog. We are very appreciative to have her help us regularly with our current dog and past dog.”

About: I have my own dog named Finn who is a 1 year old newfiedoodle. He is pretty relaxed but we enjoy going on walks and hanging out. I have always loved pets and been happy to help take care of the pets of my family and friends. I currently have weekends off to be available for pets. I also do not work in the summer months (July and August) and have time to watch and walk pets much more often. Our yard is not fenced but we have 20 acres of land to go on safe walks with a leash. I also have a large crate and can crate if needed.

About: I’ve grown up with multiple dogs of all sizes, so I’m very comfortable handling different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’ve also helped care for friends’ and neighbors’ dogs, giving me experience with different routines and environments. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with dogs, whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just keeping them company. I’ll treat your dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. With a part-time schedule consisting of short shifts a few days a week, I’m able to offer flexible and attentive pet care. I have ample availability to maintain your dog’s routine and provide consistent supervision, exercise, and companionship. I always prioritize a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I take the time to follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific preferences or needs. I make sure dogs are always supervised, kept in secure environments, and never put in situations where they could feel unsafe or overwhelmed. I also have a small fenced grass section outside of my house! In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and maintain their dog’s normal routine to help them feel as comfortable as possible. I’m attentive to behavior and body language, and I’ll adjust care based on what each dog needs—whether that’s more playtime, exercise, or just a calm presence. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: I love dogs and had one for 17 years! Our good boy recently crossed the rainbow bridge and we miss him so much. I have experience with young dogs, but also with senior dogs I am currently available during the day every weekday, so whether it’s an early morning or late afternoon walk, I can be there no problem! I treat every dog like my own and give them as long as a walk as they prefer or as many pets as they desire!
About: I have been pet sitting for about 15 years, everything from quick play dates to extended stays lasting over a month. I've worked with a variety of dogs including a 13-year old 4 pound chihuahua, a vizla that required 5 or more hours of solid exercise a day, a 160 pound mastiff that thought he was a lap dog, and a very scared dalmatian/husky/german shepherd mix that needed some serious work on social interations. I've dealt with skunk attacks, bee stings, an intestinal blockage and various types of aggression. I AM NOT CURRENTLY ABLE TO STAY OVERNIGHT DURING SITTINGS. I KEPT IT IN MY PROFILE BECAUSE IT IS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN BOOKING MULTIPLE DROP-INS At the end of last year I ended up taking in 3 Doberman puppies that I had dog sat for regularly. I was able to find a home of one of them but the other two are still with me. Because of this I am not able to do extended stays that require me to be gone overnight or dogs that cannot be left alone for a few hours due to separation anxiety or medical reasons. But if your dog is friendly please consider boarding! I currently work from home with flexible hours most of the time. My schedule is very accommodating and I love being able to take advantage of nice weather or last minute requests. The yard where I am is NOT fenced in, but it is very large with several acres of wooded area in the back. For dogs that need to stay on leash there is a long tie out and plenty of walks. I never let the dogs play outside without supervision. There are two other friendly dogs on the property (in addition to my own 2) and two dogs next-door that come over to play all the time. So we have our own mini, well-mannered, well-socialized dog park.
About: What sets me apart is my combination of professional experience, hands-on training knowledge, and truly individualized care. I previously worked as a veterinary technician, so I’m very comfortable handling dogs with a wide range of needs, including safely administering medications and recognizing subtle changes in behavior or health. Beyond that, I have personal experience training dogs, including puppies, so I can reinforce good habits, basic commands, and positive behaviors while they’re in my care. I’m also attentive to senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra patience, or specialized support. Most importantly, I take the time to really get to know each dog—their personality, quirks, energy level, and what makes them feel safe and happy. Whether your dog thrives on physical activity, needs mental stimulation, or just wants extra love and reassurance, I adjust my care to fit them. I live in a home with a large yard and use long leads to give dogs the freedom to safely sniff, explore, and enjoy their environment at their own pace. My goal is always to create a calm, enriching, and loving experience so your dog feels completely at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work on my own schedule, which gives me the flexibility to be fully present and attentive to each dog in my care. I’m able to plan my day around their needs—whether that means regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or just spending quality time with them. Because of this flexibility, I’m not rushing in and out or trying to squeeze care into a busy schedule. I can provide consistent attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day, making sure each dog feels comfortable, engaged, and well cared for. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my top priority is always their safety and comfort. I treat every animal as if they were my own, with the utmost love, patience, and responsibility. In my home, I provide a calm, secure environment where dogs can relax and feel at ease. I maintain a consistent routine for feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and rest, and I make sure each dog gets the right balance of activity, mental stimulation, and affection based on their individual needs. My yard allows for safe outdoor time, and I’m always attentive and supervising. In a client’s home, I respect your pet’s established routine to help them feel as comfortable as possible in their familiar space. I follow all care instructions closely, keep their environment clean and safe, and make sure they receive plenty of attention and companionship while you’re away. No matter the setting, I focus on building trust, paying attention to each pet’s unique personality, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for at all times.
“I was so happy with the care Tara gave to my 2 German shepherds. She walked them daily for me and played with them with the same amount of care I give them when i was on vacation. I highly recommend her and would hire her again in the future”

About: Having worked as both a dog trainer and a pet care associate for PetSmart for 3+ years - as well as having always been a pet owner myself - I’ve learned a great deal about how to suit the needs of each and every pet and how to best communicate with them and accommodate their needs! As a teacher aide with summers off, I will have almost complete availability over summer. I am flexible and willing to work with you to figure out what will work best for I can comfortably handle different types of animals with my 2+ years of experience owning my own (cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, etc) and working with different species, as well as training dogs at my previous job as a PetSmart worker for 3+ years!
About: Hi there! I’m Erin — a full-time teacher during the school year and a full-time dog lover year round. During the summer, I have lots of extra time and flexibility to take your pups on long walks or stop by for drop-in visits when you need a hand. I’ve lived with and cared for dogs my entire life and currently have two of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. I’m calm, friendly, and always take the time to get to know each dog’s unique personality and comfort level. Whether your pup is high-energy or a little more shy, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. Looking forward to meeting you and your best friend! For the months of July and August I am completely free 7 days a week all day long. During the school year, I work as a teacher so I am at work from around 7:30-3:30. However, my evenings and weekends remain completely free. I have a fenced in yard and 2 happy pups to keep your furry friend company! Dogs are allowed on the furniture and I am happy to let them either roam free downstairs or be put in a kennel when I am not home. I have a gate that keeps my dog from going upstairs when I’m not home, so that can be closed at any time during the day too. Let me know what you prefer and we will make it work in order to let your pet be as comfortable as possible!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Marshfield. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Marshfield.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
