“Rex took EXCELLENT care of my fur baby. Rex sent me a daily photo so I wouldn't miss my dog. Rex kept me updated as to how my pup was acclimating and getting along at his house. Rex asked great questions about my dogs routine and made sure my dog's needs were met. Rex treated my dog like a member of his family. He is an AWESOME sitter. I would definitely book with him again. I highly recommend Rex, for his skills, devotion and for his attention to detail. ☆ Thank You Rex to you & your family for the Loving care you gave my fur baby. ♡ - Lora B.”

I have a medical background for 45 years so I can administer medications of all kinds. I am retired so I am home 99% of the time so I would be available for your pets needs. I have a reliable car if any emergencies were to happen. I am just starting this side business and hope to provide some loving care to your dog. My back yard is fully fenced. I have one very friendly cocker spaniel . I have a separate space for your animal if needed. My yard is fully fenced. See previous description.
“James was great with our dogs. He was constantly sharing photos and giving us updates. He was quick to respond too. Our dogs were super happy. Would definitely recommend and will rebook in the future with James.”

“The perfect sitter for an anxious fur baby. Heavan put both my dog and myself at ease giving multiple updates with pictures while I was out of town for a night. My extremely anxious pooch settled right in which allowed me to enjoy my night away without worry.”

“Brooklyn took great care of our pups. She was able to expertly accommodate one our dogs not getting along with others very well. Our other dog got some much needed play time with the other dogs. I can tell from the pictures that they were comfortable and loved in her home.”

“Ava did a great job with Finn. He had a fun time playing with her Finn and Honey. He also learned some new things, now I just need to learn them too! I definitely plan to board my Finn there again and continue working with Ava on Finn and my training.”

About: A calm, loving home with a fenced yard—and 30 years of real dog experience to back it up. Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Dogs have always been a part of my life, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. Two years ago, I lost my beloved shepherd. While that was incredibly hard, it inspired me to open my home and heart to other dogs. Since then, I’ve been caring for dogs for family and friends, as well as volunteering with foster dogs—helping them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while they wait for their forever homes. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and explore, and I don’t have any pets of my own right now. That means your dog gets my full attention in a calm, low-stress environment—perfect for dogs who prefer their own space or need a little extra comfort. I treat every dog like they’re my own and tailor care to their unique personality—whether that’s active playtime, relaxing companionship, or a steady routine. You can count on me to provide a safe, loving, and dependable home filled with attention, affection, and plenty of tail wags. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I work full time, but I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be home often and adjust my day around the needs of the dogs in my care. I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will be part of a calm, structured, and caring environment. I provide a calm, safe, and loving home where dogs feel relaxed and happy. They get potty breaks, playtime, and fenced-yard fun, and if I’m at work, crating is never more than 4 hours, with breaks on lunch or as needed. With no other pets at home, your dog gets plenty of one-on-one attention and care like family.
“Danielle was amazing with my senior[16] blind husky. All of her huskies are well trained and played very well with my dog. Danielle is very knowledgeable and I trust her to watch my senior husky with no worry. My dog tends to shut down around other people and completely ignore other dogs. When I picked her up she was very happy and playful with the other huskies after a couple days with them”

“Thank-you so much for everything. Rathy was is great hands. I appreciate your help and everything you've done for him. We will be returning so he can play with his new friend.”

“Great 1st experience for my Teddy and I. I’m so pleased with the care my boy received! This was our first time actually hiring a dog sitter and it was flawless, such a wonderful experience with Catherine. From beginning to end, she made everything so easy and comforting for my dog and I!”

“Our third stay with Christine and as always, a pleasure. The pups got the attention and care they needed. They had adequate play time and enjoyed their time away from home!”

“This was the longest we’ve ever left Jamaica with someone outside of family, and we didn’t have to worry at all. Just like on our shorter trips leading up to this one, she couldn’t wait to see Amber again—she ran right over and barely looked back at us! It’s clear she absolutely loves spending time with Amber, which gives us so much peace of mind. We’ll definitely continue booking with Amber for as long as she’s offering Rover services.”

“Shawnia was the best pet sitter ever. Seven really enjoyed herself and she made me feel at ease during my whole trip by sending me pictures and updates. I’ll definitely be booking with her again. Thank you so much.”

About: Hello! I am a second year veterinary student at the University of Illinois. I am home in MI with my parents for the summer, so I’d love to care for your pet(s) while you’re away. I have experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments and energy levels. I am also Fear Free certified, so I pride myself on providing comfortable visits. I will be in the Battle Creek area from June through August. Come August, I will be in the Champaign, IL area. My daily/weekly schedule is fairly open as I do not have a current job. My pets are allowed on furniture. However, I will respect whatever rules you have in place with your pet. I tend to do an outside break every 2-4 hours depending on weather, but in the summer most days are spent outside. I feed my dog on a 2 meal schedule, but can accommodate the pet(s) normal meal routines.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
