“She was awesome, we rescued potentially a bait dog only a couple months ago, with a heart of gold but, we are still working through issues with her and at the last minute our Airbnb canceled and we weren't able to take her. I reached out to Brooklyn and she was available and I explained the situation and she was willing to take her, work with her where she was and still offer her grace. It is one thing to be a pet sitter it is another to have some "caring" for your pet! Thank you again Brooklyn!”

“This was the longest we’ve ever left Jamaica with someone outside of family, and we didn’t have to worry at all. Just like on our shorter trips leading up to this one, she couldn’t wait to see Amber again—she ran right over and barely looked back at us! It’s clear she absolutely loves spending time with Amber, which gives us so much peace of mind. We’ll definitely continue booking with Amber for as long as she’s offering Rover services.”

“Christine was wonderful with our dogs. Sent pics and videos, and updated us on how they were doing. We have one very outgoing pup and one very timid. She supported both needs, and that is hard to do sometimes. We have already re booked as Christine will be great at providing the stability that we need while we are away. Highly recommend!”

“Kelli was amazing! Archie was part of her family during his stay. The fenced in yard was the perfect place for Archie's zoomies, and Kelli send frequent pictures and updates. We will definitely be visiting again!”

“Belle was well cared for by Krista and enjoyed her stay, especially playing with K's 2 dogs in a large fenced yard. When my wife took ill during our trip and we were stuck in anther town, Krista was able and willing to keep Belle an extra day-and a-half in spite of an already busy schedule and houseguests. Her communications were always prompt and concise. She literally saved our day.”

“Deb was the best! Barnabas had a blast playing with her two dogs! He was well taken care of. It eased my mind while I was away knowing what a good time he was having. I got up dates every day on how he was doing. Thank you again Deb for taking such great care of Barnabas!”

“Our pups came home tired, dirty and happy. If you relate that to kids, they had a good stay and played hard. Rodney likes his dogs and meets them where they are without the expectation they will behave and respects that they are in a new place. We hope to be able to travel and use his experience again.”

About: I was raised with Cocker Spaniels my entire life and continue the tradition in my own home with having had 5 . I love dogs of all breeds but would not be able to take a large breed dog. My backyard is 100% fenced . I have the ability to leash or walk your dog for its outside needs if that’s what you prefer. I have a medical background for 45 years so I can administer medications of all kinds. I am retired so I am home 99% of the time so I would be available for your pets needs. I have a reliable car if any emergencies were to happen. I am just starting this side business and hope to provide some loving care to your dog. My back yard is fully fenced. I have one very friendly cocker spaniel . I have a separate space for your animal if needed. My yard is fully fenced. See previous description.
“Taya was wonderful!! My pup stayed with her while I was out of town and she sent me tons of updates and pictures/videos. I have a timid pup and she was totally understanding about it. Will definitely book again :)”

“Jenny was fantastic with Jefferson! She was incredibly respectful with our instructions and sent pictures and updates of a happy puppy. Jenny was also flexible when it came to pick up and drop off-our schedules didn't really match but she made it work. We will definitely be using Jenny in the future!”

“Danielle was amazing with my senior[16] blind husky. All of her huskies are well trained and played very well with my dog. Danielle is very knowledgeable and I trust her to watch my senior husky with no worry. My dog tends to shut down around other people and completely ignore other dogs. When I picked her up she was very happy and playful with the other huskies after a couple days with them”

“I love knowing Sarah is taking good care of our dog Basil when we go on vacation. I love that Basil gets an opportunity to socialize with other dogs while we're gone, also. Thank you, Sarah!”

“The perfect sitter for an anxious fur baby. Heavan put both my dog and myself at ease giving multiple updates with pictures while I was out of town for a night. My extremely anxious pooch settled right in which allowed me to enjoy my night away without worry.”

“Kathy was great to work with, took good care of our dog and seemed to really enjoy dogs (has three of her own), ours in particular! Sent us several photos during the boarding. Easy to communicate with.”

“Crystal is the first rover sitter that kept both of my 7 month old puppies. I really appreciate the care that she showed towards my babies and would highly recommend and will request her again if she is available 🥰”

“April did great! We have never used Rover before or left our dog with anyone other than family, so naturally I was really nervous about leaving her with someone we didn’t know, especially for 3 nights. April did wonderful updating us with pictures throughout the weekend and was super fast on responding to any messages I sent her. If you’re a nervous first-time rover user like we were, it’s totally understandable but I highly recommend April.”

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
100% of Albion sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Albion landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Albion home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Albion.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Albion sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
