About: I am working on some pretty amazing updates. Additional outdoor yards are in the works, as well as a perimeter fence around the home property! I have also added Tracki to my collars. Tracki runs on global GPS (satellite feedback) and not cellular feedback, giving that extra security for your pups with no interruption in tracking! Bark & Barn is a privately insured in-home kennel that provides overnight and day boarding options as well as drop-in visits/walks for all pets, exotic included. I also provide optional training for dogs. I have five years of experience as a veterinary assistant in a high volume multi-species setting. With this, I have gained the knowledge, training, and experience in animal behavior as well as proper technique in safe animal hold, administering all forms of medication, administering emergency fluids, and animal CPR. Your pups will have access to multiple sections of my home, a fenced play yard, and walks over 120 acres of farm fields and streamed woods! I offer basic puppy training during board and day stays, including potty and crate training. I will gladly accept shark puppies, understanding completely how difficult these pups can be for many caretakers who are not experienced in their breed characteristics. I've worked with and owned dogs for over 17 years. I have a preference for high energy/high drive dogs, though I love all of them just the same. I am a farm mom of school aged children, work remotely, a full-time online student at KCC while my kids sleep, and have plenty of time to devote to your pets. I will follow strict biosecurity and safety measures. I am by no means a "doggy playcare". For their and my safety, I do not allow guest pups to interact together. I have sectioned off portions of my home and large basement for roam, and utilize sanitized in-home kennels for overnight and unattended times as well as movement of guests (inside, outside, walks, etc). I currently have full availability outside of school drop-off in the mornings and flexible pick-ups in the afternoon. I spend my free time caring for my own animals and attending online classes and seminars! I have a knack for social cues and when and how to approach. Discipline is and will always be reinforcement based. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand any dog can be reactive in the right setting, so meet and greets are a must! Our personal working dogs are not within the home's boundaries and remain with their flock at all times.

About: I had taken care of dogs of every kind since I was very young. I have relied on me to walked, feed and bathe their pets. I had also trained 2 dogs with some of the sign language as well to teach the animals to sit and stay with the American sign language. My friends and family have relied on me to take their dogs to the dog park, the beach and go on the morning hike. Just really take care of their animals with the love, respect and support for those need my help for them to enjoy their time or a getaway! I'm currently working from home on my own flexible schedule! I do have a lot of time in between working virtually and I can do my job anywhere! So if I take the dogs to the park or go on a walk, I could work on my phone to reply my emails, messages etc. I do have the good balance of taking a break from work to spend the time with the animals to give them my attention and cuddles and go on a walks or adventures! First thing first is to care the animals with respect, love and comfort to be in your home. If I was at your house, I am that person that will follow your wishes and expectations of how you would want me to care for your animals. I do clean up after myself when I am at your house and to keep it tidy clean as you like it to be. I also like to step outside with the dogs/cats to keep my eyes on them or even just being outside with them and play with their toys to give them my joyful attention. I love to have the transparency communication with the owners as well. I will always ask the owner before assuming or trying things out. I love to meet the animals before starting the whole process to feel it out how the energy goes for us and for your animals too. About: I have had big dogs and small dogs throughout my whole life raising all kinds of breeds from puppy's to healthy outstanding dogs, I can spot almost instantly when something is not quite right, I have a small dog myself we have raised her from 7 weeks, she is turning a year the end of this month, she has all of her shots and vaccines, health pup, she loves to play and loves to have friends over, if you are looking for a knowledgeable, fun, loving, and caring, dog sitter I'm your gal lol!!!! About: I am an experience animal care taker after 30 years on a farm. We always had cats and dogs, in addition to cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, etc.. I am an avid pet lover. I have 4 fur babies and all are my therapy - a part of my family. We also have 4 cats. I completely understand that they are not just animals and more often then not are more important then the humans in our lives. About: Your dog will be my dog while in my care. I am a huge animal lover who has always made my animals a part of my family, not just an animal. Starting May 4th, I will be training for a new job. My training hours will be 8-5, if you can work around those time please reach out. My yard is not fenced so your babies will only be outside when I am out there with them, leashed if required. I do not agree with leaving a dog alone all night when they are already seeing a difference with their family being gone. If they are dog friendly they would have socialization as well with my friends and family dogs so they could get some interaction and extra exercise! I currently work from home so frequent potty breaks or administration of medication would not be an issue. We would be one big happy family all day long My dogs are not crated when I leave the house but do have an extra large one if required for your baby. If you need me to do a drop in visit, my hours for availability are in the air for the next couple of weeks until I am given my new works hours.

About: I've had different dogs in the house for my whole life. As a kid my family brought dogs in for foster care. We've taken care of multiple dogs with disabilities, including deaf dogs and partially blind dogs. Dogs get along with me well and I'm good at getting shy dogs to warm up to me. I've also volunteered with the Jackson County Animal Shelter, working with the cats at PetSmart. I've also taken care of relatives'/friends'/neighbors' pets. Currently I spend most of my time at home working on my online classes so I will have plenty of time to spend caring for your dog. On the rare chance that I'm not home at least one of my parents are in the house and will be able to fill in for me while I'm out. The dogs that I own eat at the same time everyday and go out as needed, but if your dogs need to be treated differently it will be easy to change things for them. Just fill me in on what your pet needs to be taken care of properly and I should be able to get it done.

About: I’ve dealt with all sorts of dogs but and small ranging between chihuahuas to Great Danes. Another plus is for the past year I’ve been a dog groomer so my range of dogs is very high, I’ve had all ages of dogs. I’m currently wanting to make this my full time job and am available pretty much anytime right now! I love dog and cat and would love to take care of all different kinds. I have 2 dogs a toy poodle and a pitbull mix they are both very friendly and great with new dogs and love to play. They would be amazing to keep your dog company.

About: I have been around animals most of my life and currently care for several dogs of my own on our 20-acre farm just outside Hastings, Michigan. Dogs staying with me are treated like part of the family and live in a home environment rather than a kennel setting. Because I have experience managing multiple dogs at once, I understand pack behavior, supervision, feeding routines, and how to safely separate dogs when needed. I also have fenced areas, pasture space, and wooded land where dogs can safely explore and exercise. My goal is to provide a calm, safe place where dogs can run, play, relax, and get plenty of attention while their owners are away. I provide home-style dog daycare on our peaceful 20-acre farm just outside Hastings, Michigan. Because I care for dogs from home, I am able to supervise them throughout the day. Dogs enjoy time indoors with the family as well as supervised outdoor playtime on the property. I keep daycare small (maximum of 8 guest dogs) so every dog receives attention, exercise, and a calm environment. Dogs spend their day playing, exploring, relaxing, and socializing with the pack. Dogs in my care stay in a home environment rather than a kennel facility. They spend time indoors with the family and also enjoy supervised outdoor time on our farm, including fenced areas and open space to explore. Safety is very important, so I carefully monitor interactions between dogs and separate them if needed. Dogs may be crated briefly during feeding or rest times to prevent food aggression and allow quiet breaks. I limit daycare to a small group to keep the environment safe and manageable.
