“Kate came for drop in visits with our 2 tiny toy poodles. Our girls can be timid but I knew right away after meeting her that she knew how to manage these two. She and her husband took their time getting to know the girls and it was obvious the girls were comfortable! Kate made regular visits and was great about communicating, which put my mind at ease. If I sent a text or called there was always an immediate response. Kate also sent lots of pictures. We just got home from our time away and the girls are happy and healthy. About: Howdy! I’ve been caring for various neighbors’ pets since I was a pre-teen. Absolutely adore dogs and their unique ability to connect with humans. I used to sit for various dogs in Los Angeles but now live in New Orleans as a librarian. Looking to walk dogs in spare time or pet sit as applicable! Let’s connect! :) I work full time Monday-Thursday and alternate between having Fridays and Saturdays off. Usually off by 5pm when working. Always have Sundays off. Schedule is flexible. He stopped in 3 times a day to check in on our dogs, let them out, feed them, and he stuck around afterwards to play with them. Our dogs aren't always sure about new people, but he was patient and by the end of the weekend we saw lots of pictures of them snuggling up to him. We felt extremely comfortable and relieved knowing they were with someone taking such good care of them. About: I've always been drawn to animals who are most in need - emotionally and physically. And that means I've gained experience helping animals with medical needs. Since I was 9, I've owned, fostered, delivered, and cared for dogs, cats, and kittens. I have also had a few fish and cared for reptiles and rats, mice, and hamsters. My Norfolk terrier, Chester, had intervertebral disc disease when he was 5. Thankfully, with medical treatment, he regained feeling in his legs! I can give pills without pill-pockets, as well as liquid medicine. I've given shots. And I've administered subcutaneous fluids twice per day to 2 kittens who had panleukopenia virus so they wouldn't get euthanized. But every animal has various needs, medical or otherwise, and deserves the same and equal love and attention. I'd love to care for your cats or dogs as well! At home, a having a senior dog becomes a daily and weekly routine! As with all animals, that means: eat, poop, play, snuggle, nap, love, repeat! Animals are so smart. They know OUR routines and live by them. They say: "She's washing her face at nighttime? That must mean it's time to go outside before sleep! [yaawwn]" I'd love to have a routine with your pet! Initially, getting to know your fur baby/babies will be about taking it slow, giving them the right body (and facial) cues, being consistent, and building a routine. If you're ok with me giving them a treat, I'll do so based on your recommendation. If not, I'll just smell like I have treats! If you choose in-home services, I'll be on your pet's home turf, and I'm always letting your pet decide the play and love that they're comfortable with. If you're requesting pet-walking, your pet will require leadership, for safety reasons and for them to properly relax. Either way, your fur baby will be comfortable and at ease!

About: I was always the one to take care of our families dogs while growing up, so I have a lot of experience! Smaller dogs, bigger dogs, senior dogs…does not matter to me! I am currently ending an Americorps term so I have all the time in the world to play with your pups! Building trust with you and your dog are the most important steps to maintaining respectful boundaries. Because I only offer service in my clients home, I will adapt based on your needs and requests related to the dog AND your home. It takes a lot to feel comfortable with someone in your home taking care of something precious, and so little to break that bond. It is of the utmost importance to me that I am a trustworthy, careful person throughout our interactions.

About: I have extensive experience in caring for animals of all species, breeds, sizes, ages, and abilities! I am a pet mother of myself with three small dogs and two ferrets- the oldest of which is my 16 year old dog Spot who I have raised since he was born. He is my pride and joy and the reason I have the passion for animals I do today! About: From the time I could walk, I have brought home strays and raised multiple litters of dogs. I have a natural way with them and they tend to trust me easily. I treat all animals like they are my own children, so your fur baby would be in very good hands. I have never not had a dog at any point in my life and am confident in my abilities with everything that comes with having them. I’ve done dog/house sitting for a couple of years now and would like to start doing it full time! I have two dogs that I take care of daily and spend all of my spare time with. There is not a moment I don’t want to be with them! I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of space for your baby to roam around and smell all the smells. I have a husky and a pitterrier that are sweet and playful, so they will have friends to play with!
