About: Hi my name is Whitney and I am a dedicated animal lover with over 20 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds. I have multiple animals myself including dogs and horses. A Bachelors in Animal Science and Post-Bach in Rangeland Science allows me to care for the most exotic of animals. Whether it is day walks, drop-ins, or overnight stay, I make sure all pets are safe, loved and cared for. I understand how important it is to trust someone with the care of your animals. I pride myself on being reliable , patient, and attentive to each animals unique needs. I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I do have my own animals to take care of but times are very flexible and able to be moved around. I have 3 friendly dogs that could keep your dog company or I can crate your animal as needed. I have a multiple acre 5 foot non-climb horse fenced area for animals to run and play. I unfortunately do not have a fenced in area directly off of my house but can create an area as needed for smaller animals with portable fencing.
“Absolutely adore Megan. She takes amazing care of my Frenchie Tank. As soon as we pull up he just wants to jump out of the car and race straight to her. Her two dogs are great with my little guy and he is completely tuckered out when I pick him up at the end of the day.”

“Shelby is great! Loki enjoyed spending time with her and her sweet furbaby Winston. Shelby's an excellent communicator and matched Loki's energy level perfectly. She sent him home with a little note and goody bag, which was just so thoughtful! We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you so much, Shelby!”

About: I’ve owned cats all my life, and a few dogs. I have experience volunteering at a local animal shelter, working with both cats and dogs when I was younger . I have a 4H background as well. We adopted our dog Frida 2 years ago. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom with a flexible schedule. We are home often and already own a dog. It's not much more work to add one or two into the mix. My kids love dogs and enjoy meeting new ones. We all love that owning dogs helps us to be outside more, either playing with the dogs or taking them on walks. My three children adore dogs and cats, and will give lots of love and attention. We live near parks and have a great neighborhood for walks. Dogs are allowed to free range of the house and fenced yard. They are allowed on the couches.
“Candace is a wonderful dog mom!! From the moment we met I knew Maizie would be in good hands. Candace is warm and nurturing but also aware of the mischief puppies can get into. She sent me lots of photos throughout the day and kept me updated on Maizie’s progress. Maizie had fun meeting the other animals around the farm. We are hoping to leave her for a longer time next time. I know Maizie is looking forward to seeing Candace-mom and her new big brother playmate, Wilbur again. She had a great time!”

About: I have been around dogs and cats since before I could walk! I started pet sitting for my neighbors when I was a kid and have spent most of my life helping out my friends and family with their pets. I am a huge animal lover and also very active! I often pet sit for my friends and love to take their dogs on walks and runs. I live in Albany with my cat, Bill, and work from home a lot so I have lots of availability and would love some more dog time in my life! I work from home four days a week (wednesday’s i am in office) so i have a lot of availability to spend time with your dog! I am also an active runner and walker, so I can get your pup outside and get out energy if that’s what they need, or we can cuddle up inside and play or hang out :) I live in a spacious two-bedroom apartment with lots of grassy areas and walking paths around. I do have a cat, he gets along well with dogs, but your pup would need to be okay with cats! I have a very gentle approach to dogs and respecting their boundaries is so important to me. Depending on what you prefer for your dog, they are free to roam my apartment and be on furniture, unless you prefer them not to be! I have some experience training so if you’re in the middle of building habits, i will adhere to those practices :)
“I was a little nervous to leave my dog Lucy with a sitter because she is elderly and has special needs. Jennifer did a great job and I could tell that Lucy was relaxed and happy when I picked her up. Jennifer is a lovely person and I will not hesitate to leave Lucy with her again.”

“Bridget had a great time with Novely. Novely was very kind and caring with Bridget. With the photos and video Novely sent I could see that Bridget ran and played in the yard with Novely’s dog and had a fun day.”

“Hailey and her family were so wonderful to our Kai. They watched him while we went hiking in Silver Falls. She sent pics and updates so we knew Kai was in excellent hands. Kai was happy and relaxed when we picked him up.”

“This was a last minute booking and Kyra was so helpful getting the booking correct for me. We have used her multiple times and always appreciate her professionalism and care of Leilani!”
“Tawnia is great with dogs! She is relaxed and provides a great environment for outdoor play and indoor quiet time. My pup has seperation anxiety and she is fine with him being at her feet all day. Tawnia responds quickly and is flexible.”

About: Know what it's like to own dogs since childhood. Tell me what they love, like, and hate. Love to bring gifts for the dog(s) anytime. Also been a great house sitter and pet sitter for my mother in the past when she visited grandkids for a week in California. As far in advance as possible since I also do crowd management seasonally but haven't worked since April 1st. P.S. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 208 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Marion. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Marion commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 208 sitters in Marion, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
