About: I’m an environmental educator at a non-profit nature center and I’ve taken care of animals for friends and family for 10 years. I have experience caring for all kinds of dogs from puppies to seniors. Care has included walking dogs, house sitting, and drop in visits. I have experience caring for cats and own a cat myself. About: Hi, I'm Brooke! I’m 19 years old and have been around animals my entire life. Growing up, I was never without a pet, and caring for animals has always come naturally to me. My first cat, Hunter Patches, was a huge part of my life before he passed last year. Since then, I’ve welcomed two new cats, Loki and Marie, into my family. I also have a 10 year old rescue dog named Gunner and recently rescued a bearded dragon named Dino. I’m comfortable caring for cats, dogs, and reptiles, and I understand that every animal has their own personality and needs. To say I was concerned about leaving him is an understatement. Adriana knew this and provided the exact type of service I was hoping for. She treated my boy like he was her own. Followed all of my instructions to a tee, and sent me so many great pictures. She was always on time, and even took it upon herself to clean up a cut he has that breaks open occasionally. She went above and beyond and I personally will be very bummed if she’s not available when I need her in the future. She’s that good! I don’t want to have to use anyone else besides her and I know my dog Chase would echo that sentiment. There is a doggie door that leads to a fenced-in area. There are also trails through the woods for walks and open areas for play. Additionally, we have a comfortable deck in the fenced area in the event your dog wants to lay outside while at my home. My experience administering medication Yes. I have extensive experience giving dogs tablets and pills, applying various ointments and creams, and administering eye, nose, and ear drops. My husband and I recently retired to Skaneateles, so we are home almost all the time! Your pet(s) will have constant companionship while in our home. Your pet(s) will have full access to our home; however, I have a crate if preferred. Only my husband and I live in our home, so your pet(s) will feel safe and no strangers will be here.
