“Ana did a great job taking care of our girls who have a special bond and require a bit of care. She gave us updates and check ins with photos and was very responsive the whole time. Will book again!”

“Jocelyn was great! Provided wonderful updates and was very pleasant to chat with. I knew from the start that our cat was in good hands and Jocelyn kept proving that to be true each day. If you want someone who will go the extra mile to make sure your pets are loved while you’re away, Jocelyn is your person!”

“Jamie was such a wonderful friend to my sweet dog, Bernice. This was Bernices first time home alone for such a long stretch. And Jamie really went out of her way to comfort her. And she managed to get Bernice outside and playing. Jamie is truly the best!”

“Naomi did a great job with our three cats! She was thorough in completing all the tasks asked of her, and updated us on each of her visits so I was a little less anxious being away. I'd definitely hire her again!”

“I highly recommend Chantal for anyone in need of a reliable and friendly caregiver for their furry friends. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire process and she was very accommodating to our two labs!”

“Skylar was wonderful! Very professional and communicative. Spent a ton of time with our pups and sent thorough updates and pictures. Came home to happy and healthy dogs. Would highly recommend.”

“Alyssa is doing a wonderful job with my anxious chihuahua! She has been so accommodating and has been willing to go slow to help him adjust. He usually takes many repeat introductions before he is ok with anyone new, but he absolutely adored her starting from the very first visit!”

“Adriana came through for our two dogs and cat once again, with two drop-in visits this week. She is consistently reliable and always sends us updates with pet photos from her visits.”

“My cat felt safe interacting and snuggling up to John within minutes of first meeting him, and I think it’s because of John’s calm, intentional, gentle presence and demeanor. I couldn’t believe this is his first time cat-sitting because he was so good with my cat. He was quick to respond and was communicative throughout the visits, and asked many questions to get to know my cat’s routines and preferences. John was so polite and easygoing. He went above and beyond caring for my cat for the weekend, and this was a last minute scheduling given last minute plans. So grateful for John.”

“Abby is awesome! Abby spent time with to learn our two cats. Abby is wonderful to work with and makes your time away from home stress free. I am lucky to have met Abby. She quickly figured out both of our unique kitties! 🐈 😺”

“Amy did an awesome job checking on our cat and chickens. She always checked with us if she was unsure about any procedures or issues. We were traveling to Kenya and she was able to put our minds at ease over what could have been a stressful situation. She communicated successfully over several formats including texting through Rover as well as What's App. We would readily recommend her to anyone looking for pet services and we will definitely contact her in the future.”

About: First and foremost, Thank you for your interest into my profile! It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to help partake in care and activities with your special pets of all species and sizes! My goal is to make a lasting career professionally as a Veterinarian Technician in the near future, and in the mean time provide any service's I can to pets and owners in need. 5 years ago I spent some time in Missouri where I helped provide care for kennel dogs for around 6 months, including providing baths, medicine, walks, food, water, playtime, attention and love to all of the dogs. Since then I have returned to Syracuse and have helped care for my 6 year old Jack Russell terroir (Luna) and my 4 year old kitten (Buggsy). Buggsy became apart of my family last summer when a friend discovered 7 kittens in her backyard who needed loving homes. Thankfully, that goal was achieved as all kittens were placed in homes and spayed and neutered (including the neighborhood feral mother and father cats to help stop any kittens being left on the street in the future!) And as time has gone on, my love, patience, and determination to work with animals has only grown. Thank you again for your time! I am available on every other weekend from Friday to Sunday. I get one day off during the week which changes, but it will be marked on my calendar for availability. I am willing and hoping to work with any potential clients schedules. I would like to make sure I can ask for any possible extra information needed to help ensure the best treatment for your animals. Along with that I always check fences/gates before bringing an animal outside in case of other animals or people. I also like to scan the surrounding and verify theirs is no unsafe food or material that the animal could possibly ingest in and out of the home. I also always make sure to check and refill any water or food as necessary and clean up any accidents or trips to the bathroom in or out of the home. And ensuring to lock all doors and secure all gates while entering and exiting the home. I love sending photos and keeping you the parent/owner updated as you wish! Thank you again for your time to look at my profile and I hope we can all be a great match! I am available on most days of the week including Monday to Friday. But I am willing to work weekends if needed! I usually prefer hours anywhere from 10am to 7pm but I am willing to work around that to better fit your schedule if needed! It is very important for me to ask any possible questions on extra information needed to help ensure the best treatment not only for your animals but the safety and care of your home as well. Routinely for each visit I ensure fences/gates and doors to property are properly locked and closed after entering the home and after exiting. Especially before bringing an animal outside in case of other animals or people. I also like to scan the surrounding and verify there is no unsafe food or material that the animal could possibly ingest in and out of the home. As well as locating, cleaning, and properly disposing of any trips outside to the bathroom. It’s also important that I check and refill any water or food to the correct measurement/request of owner as necessary. and clean up any accidents or trips to the bathroom in or out of the home. And ensuring your pet gets as much playtime, pets, and or cuddles as they desire. I know each animal can have very different personalities so I am here to help provide them as much comfort as possible. Whether that be relaxing with some belly rubs or running around and playing catch, I am ready to work with both ends of the spectrum!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 385 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Otisco Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Otisco Valley. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
