About: I've had various pets my entire life and been pet sitting/walking for over 25 years! I have experience with any species from hamsters, lizards, and bunnies, to cats and dogs, as well as livestock! My family raises and competes with oxen in the Northeast, and until recently moving south I cared for large animals (horses, cattle, goats, etc) as a side gig as well. There isn't an animal out there that I'm unwilling to work with! I love to care for and work with dogs. I'm happy to do regularly scheduled walks/hikes, or help out as needed. About: Growing up at a dairy farm, I was always surrounded by all kinds of animals. Horses, cows, dogs, etc. I had a love for them all. But it wasn’t until I had my first dog on my own inside the house that I totally understand just how much I really love dogs. I work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All nights. So Monday through Friday I have lots of spare time. From 7 AM Monday until 7 AM on Friday. I do not have a fenced in backyard. So keeping them on the leash is my number one priority. From getting out of the house and into the car. Because I do a lot of hiking with Bella. I also have a good size first aid kit.
About: My love of dogs started about 5 years ago when I rescued my first dog. Since then, I have acquired a load of knowledge not only in how to care for them, but also how to train them. I can provide mental and physical stimulation for your furry friend and bring most of my own equipment - I can also use the tools your pet is most familiar with. I can assess your pet to determine what your pet may need for stimulation, make suggestions for daily care, and learn at least some of their body language. My dogs and I are always interacting whenever I'm home, but most of our intentional fun/training happens for about 2-3 hours each day outdoors. This includes both training and walking. I also help some of my friends train their dogs whenever our schedules allow. I believe your dog should ALWAYS be in training and you can make almost any situation a training opportunity. Can your dogs be together but need to be supervised so tension doesn't continue to build? I got you covered there too! Does your dog pull too much on walks, need to learn how to act in-doors? Otherwise, we let them out every 2-4 depending on their needs (which they have been trained to lets us know if they need to go sooner). Our medical dog is on a 12 hr medication schedule. I'd prefer to care in my clients home due to one of my dogs having a reactive past, it was quite a transition when we inherited our other dog. If you have a specific routine, I'm ready to follow it to the T! I'm comfortable walking dogs on leash, hanging out/playing with them in a fenced yard, or just chilling inside. As mentioned, I have experience with medically dependent pets. I have an escape artist, so I'm always vigilant of their proximity to me and prepared to run/chase in the event something happens.
