“I left my labradoodle, Ramona, with Valentina and her 4-year-old son for few hours, and honestly, she had the best time. From the start, Ramona felt completely at home — she got tons of love, playtime, and cuddles. Her son was the perfect little playmate, full of energy but so gentle and caring with Ramona. They played, ran around, and Ramona clearly loved all the extra attention. About: For the past 4 years, I have volunteered at an animal shelter where I worked with both dogs and cats. With dogs, I have experience with all ages, ranging from 5 week old puppies to senior dogs. I have walked and played with dogs who were the most outgoing and loving dogs, as well as the more fearful ones who needed a little extra attention before opening up to me. I have received training in understanding dog behaviors as well as how to interact with more stressed and fearful dogs, leaving me confident to care for all types of dogs. I also volunteered to take some dogs out of the shelter for one night and care for them at my apartment so they can destress out of their kennels, which gave me experience house sitting multiple types of dogs. With cats, often times at the shelter I would play with them in their cages, or I would take them out the cage and hold onto/pet them to help relieve their stress and get them accustomed to humans. At home I also have 2 senior pets I care for, a 12 year old Brittany dog and an 11 year old cat. They’re both incredibly sweet and remind me every day why I love caring for animals. Let me help take care of your furry family members—I’d love to meet them! I work as a teacher full time during the school year, so I have time after 4pm to care for your pets. However, during the summer I don't work full time so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am free anytime during the week for house sitting, dog walking, or just dropping in to visit your pet. When caring for a pet in a client's home, I will make sure to confirm all household rules that apply to their pet before starting. This includes knowing what furniture the pet can sit on, the diet of the pet, as well as how often the pet should be played with/taken out on walks.

“Katsumi was wonderful with my dog, Louie! She rest kept an eye on him and used her best judgement in what he needed, whether it was a walk, play, or some rest. Her dog was also a great companion for Louie to have! Katsumi updated me frequently on how my dog was throughout the day, as well as gave a run down of his day. Thank you!”

About: I grew up in small dog loving family. I have been a dog and cat walker/sitter and light groomer for 15 years. Pets deserve someone like myself to be cared for and loved. I am available for walks and sitting 7 days per week. It is important that dogs not be incessant barkers as I live in an apartment. Dogs must be trained to walk outside and/or use wee pads seamlessly. Dogs willl be walked, fed, entertained and bathed if needed for an additional charge. Cats must not be destructive to furniture or other pets. Thank you.

This diverse background allows me to intuitively understand each dog’s unique needs, temperament, and routine. Whether I’m walking, sitting, or training, I treat every dog as if they were my own—with patience, responsibility, and genuine love. I currently have open availability so all I have is nothing but time to care for the babies, however- when I am working part-time/full-time, my amazing boyfriend is a reflection of me when the care is needed. My apartment is super friendly for dogs (couch included), there are plenty of parks around my area for them to enjoy nature and all that it offers. The building that I currently live in has a doggy station as part of the amenities— which they also get to enjoy!

About: I am an experienced dog owner, having cared for my own senior dog post surgery. I’m great with administering medication and am always running around being playful with the animals I care for. I’m currently a hybrid worker where I can work from home some days! I am also available on weekends! Pet care is a part of my daily routine since I have my own dog. I have a fenced yard in my own home. I take my own dog out every couple hours or so when I can and give her two 30 min walks if I can.
