About: Hello! I've been taking care of pets every since my professors at my university trusted me to dog-sit in their homes. I've always had a love of animals. As a child I spent most of my free time volunteering at my local animal shelter by walking dogs to give them a break and fresh air or training them to help them be more likely to be adopted. As an adult I've worked as a zookeeper (my all-time favorite animal to care for are probably lemurs) and as a high school biology teacher. I've normally utilized word of mouth to grow my pet-sitting business, but since I've recently moved to a smaller town, I decided to test out Rover. Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
