“Georgia’s home was a fantastic home for my dog to have fun and be safe in! He played well with her dogs and was super easy to communicate with! Will definitely be boarding with her more often!”

“Teri did an exceptional job watching our dog, Rocket, for the day. She helped Rocket to feel comfortable with her home and backyard before slowly introducing her dogs. Once they were introduced they quickly became friends and had a great time playing together. Teri made sure to provide us with frequent pictures and updates, which gave us peace of mind knowing that our dog was being well taken care of. Her communication with us was always professional and we are happy to have chosen her to watch our dog and will definitely choose her in the future when we are in the area.”

“Hannah did a great job with our dog Teddy. Teddy was was a little nervous when we first arrived but Hannah helped him to get settled in quickly. She sent us lots of photos and kept us updated on how he was doing.”

“First time using app based on local recommendation. Traveling with an extended stay. Had a meet and greet with Jackie before doggie day care to settle my nerves. Warm and friendly and bonded with Ranger immediately. Met her at house next day for drop off and she was very attentive asking questions about allergies and concerns. Felt very comfortable and at ease with leaving Ranger there for a “staycation”. He settled in quickly and Jackie kept me updated with text and pics and how he was doing throughout the day. The pics say it all. Highly recommended and hope we have another opportunity in the future.”

“We had a great experience with Hannah and her family! She was extremely flexible on drop off/pick up, sent updates and sent some great pics of Maggie (Boxer) throughout the day! Would highly recommend and we will definitely use her again if we are in the Northern Idaho/Eastern Washington area.”

“Jennifer and David are very accommodating and caring. Our dog Bodhi was a little anxious that night (not his normal self) and they gave him the attention he needed.”

“Cheryl was very sweet and caring with my puppy. She was also flexible with me on my work schedule. My dog got along well with hers; she came home tuckered out every night because she played so hard and had so much fun! Would definitely recommend! :)”

“Thank you, Travis and your family, for taking care of Henry and Lucca. You always communicate promptly and take great care of them. We are thankful to find someone in the area who we feel certain will take care of our boys.”

About: I love animals of all kinds and am happy to take care for your pets. Your dogs and cats will be loved and cared for like they’re my own. I know the area well and my neighborhood is very dog friendly and safe for walking. I have experience taking care of animals with anxiety and that are recovering from surgery. Thank you for trusting me with your pets, Please let me know any special requests or needs you have for your animals or home. Currently on a job search so I’m not sure of my daily schedule in the future, but I won’t be working more than 8 hours at a time and most likely only 30 hours a week. For house sitting and boarding, I will at home as much as possible, with the exception of running necessary errands. I’ll do my best to keep your pet happy and comfortable, and stick to your pets routines i.e. walks, play time, feeding time etc. (I sometimes board more than one dog at a time but only with your express permission of both owners)
“Absolutely wonderful! We are so thankful for Jessica this week and Fury cannot wait to come back! Exceptional service for our little man, she went above and beyond as he is still learning potty training, walking on the leash, etc. He played hard, got to socialize and meet new friends. We loved our rover cards getting to see what he did for the day! Thank you so much, we really appreciate knowing he is in such good hands!”

“Mimi and her family took such wonderful care of our Velzy girl! From the moment we met I felt at ease and so did our pup. Velzy had the best time with Chester and they got along great!Lovely home with the best backyard. We will MOST DEFINITELY be booking again and again and again. Highly recommended! Thank you Mimi + fam!!! 🧡”

“Genevieve was a lifesaver and took Maeve in for a last minute doggie daycare request. She allowed us to see where Maeve would be hanging out and meet her other dogs. We got updates on how it was going and Maeve looked so happy! They took her on a hike & let her play in the water. Their home, with a large yard and doggie door, was the perfect fit for Maeve. And she was wiped out when she got home. We are so happy we found Genevieve!”

“We left Jack with Haley & Audriana while visiting from out of town. He had a wonderful time! The house is nice and in a nice neighborhood with a comfortable, fenced back yard that offered shade on a hot day. We will definitely look them up when we come into town next time!”

“Velma was wonderful! We were going to be in town for the weekend and needed a place for our pup one of the days. Velma was willing to video chat in order to have a “face to face” prior to setting the booking, since we are not in her local area. She was flexible as our schedule changed and was able to accommodate the change. She was great with our senior dog, and she really seems to care and enjoy her furry guests! We hope to be able to utilize her services again!”

“I had an exceptional experience with Amanda and Justin. My wife and I were visiting Spokane for three days during a heatwave, and needed daycare for Casey. They did a terrific job, especially introducing Casey to their larger dogs and communicating via text and the Rover app. We felt completely comfortable leaving Casey in their very capable hands.”

“Patricia is a dogs best friend and she honestly cares for them as if they are her very own. We hired her for 5 days and she was as more than amazing, and exceeded anything we could imagine. Seriously worth every dollar and honestly worth her weight in gold. So good at communicating and went above and beyond always seeing our dogs were taken real good care of. I mean it when I say we already miss her and wish she was a neighbor. I feel as if not only my 10yr old and 2yr old dogs have a friend, but that we have become friends too and I look forward to the next time we get to see her. Best sitter we could ever have found. We will see her again. If you are looking for quality Patricia is the one. I have never met such an amazing full of energy conscious individual. Look no further.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life and love dogs! I am a hands on care giver and make sure the pets are happy and healthy. I work remotely so I am home all day with my 12-year-old boy and a 5-year-old Schnoodle, Coco. My daughter is pre-med at WSU and is often home to help as well. Coco is current with all vaccines, spayed, and loves furry friends visiting! I have a fenced yard that is wide open for lots of fun playing. I also take daily walks with the dogs so they get to smell the news!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 300 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Manito. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Manito commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 300 sitters in Manito, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
