“I had a great experience with Rebecca. She was very thorough in explaining her process and showing me exactly where my dog would be kept. You could immediately tell she truly cares about dogs and is a genuine dog lover. I felt completely safe and comfortable leaving my dog in her care. Highly recommend!”

“My dog, Harlan, is a rescue we've had for a year. We recently had an event at our house that included over 30 adults and children who he has never met. I decided a pet sitter. Was a good option. Harlan was very nervous when we got to Christopher's house., but Christopher gained his trust quickly. A feat still not accomplished by friends Harlan knows well. Would definitely recommend.”

Hope I can watch your pets and train your little pups too 😁 I’m currently working from home and Just looking for a few extra bucks all while working on my business plans. I’m excited to sit your fur baby 😁 I have a porch your fur babies can go outside on or they just roam around the house. I don’t mind 😊 I also have room if you’d like your fur baby in a crate ☺️
“Cristina was very accommodating of my dog Pogo for a last-minute daycare reservation. She sent lots of pictures that gave me a comfortable feeling. He had some needs and restrictions that she clearly followed which I appreciated very much. She is a very considerate sitter and understands the importance of what she's doing.”

About: Your pet will be treated like family in my home. I spend quality time playing, cuddling, and giving each guest plenty of personal attention and affection. For comfort and security, your pet’s bed will be placed in my bedroom at the foot of my bed — and if they’re used to extra snuggles, they’re welcome to sleep in my king-sized bed. As an experienced professional pet sitter, I’m prepared to handle unexpected situations while you’re away, whether it’s a power outage, an illness, or any other emergency requiring calm, responsible care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and videos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and loved. For the comfort and safety of all guests, I only accept dogs 15 pounds and under. I'm also a health insurance broker who works part-time from home. I have doggie beds in the office and in my bedroom. I have an 11-year-old Yorkie and a 14-year-old Malti-poo. After we get up, they do their "business" and eat. Then we walk. After that, everyone gets a snack, then everyone takes a nap! My home is "pet-proof, so your pet has free rein of a lot of the house. I put down puppy papers in case it's raining. If your pet is older, we will walk around the property. Otherwise, we will go on leisurely walks. I have tall vinyl fences around the perimeter of my backyard. When we do go outside, I NEVER leave a pet out of my sight. I have six cameras outside the home, and three inside. I am close to all my neighbors, and we look after each other. I prefer a halter on a dog.

It puts my helicopter doggy mom heart at so much ease! Coco-Qian’s fur baby is the sweetest host for juju too! Overall, such a great daycare day! Looking forward to her boarding in a few days! ❤️”

“We are so very grateful for Marjorie's help when we were in a tough situation. She helped Willls to have a safe space during our stay in the area where Wills was able to make new friends with the company of other friendly dogs. We are forever grateful, thank you so much 🙂”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up on a farm in Cuba, where we cared for 15+ dogs along with many other animals. That experience taught me from a young age how to be patient, responsible, and attentive to each animal’s unique needs. Today, I have a sweet senior rescue dog and recently welcomed a cat into my home. I also help care for my brothers’ dogs, including two French Bulldogs, a Husky, and a Pit Bull, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages for your peace of mind. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. I plan my day around their needs, whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, or simply keeping them company. I always make sure each pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and care while their owner is away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special needs. I take the time to help pets feel comfortable and never force interactions if they’re shy or anxious. I also keep owners updated with regular photos and messages, so they can relax knowing their pet is in good hands. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own.

About: My last pet was a blue nose pit, his name was Apollo. We got him when he was only 8 weeks old. I trained him and loved him dearly. He was such a big part of our family, He was a beautifulI soul! As he got older, even though it was hard to see his aging, I was grateful to be part of the process and be able to help him when times were rough. He left me with a void and a lot of love to give. She also kept us updated throughout the day with pictures which we loved! She was the first Dogsitter we’ve had since our pup is terrified of everyone and everything but she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed about everything!”

“Virginia provided daycare for our young puppy for 5 days and it was a great experience! Lots of other dogs to play with and wonderful videos, pictures and check-ins from Virginia. She was very communicative and flexible with drop off and pick up times, and I'd recommend her to any pet parent out there. Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
