About: I’ve had animals from childhood and love learning about all of their special requirements so that they thrive and are happy. I’ve received multiple trainings in pet first aid and never leave the house without being prepared. I have room in my schedule morning, lunch, and evening walks and feeding. I have limited space to take your dog to my home for boarding. I have plenty of property but would keep your dog on a leash when going outside. I have two dogs who are very dog friendly and make friends easily. They just love to chase the ball and love life. I am extremely conscientious; my dogs are very well cared for. I bring that same level of care to everything that I do.

“Robin was exactly on time for her first walk with our 6-month old Izzy. Izzy loves every dog or person she meets. so I wasn't surprised when she greeted Robin affectionately. After a few minutes of instruction, they were off for their first walk together. When they returned, Robin described their adventure in detail. She was articulate and accurate, given Izzy's typical behavior (for example: she doesn't "get" that a dog growling at her means "keep away." }. Big news: Izzy must have felt very comfortable with Robin, since this was the very first time that she peed on-leash during a dog walk away from our yard. About: Hi, I’m Abigail! I recently moved back to the Hudson Valley to develop my career in the environmental field. I’m currently working part-time at a native plant nursery. When I'm not spending time nature and with plants, I love caring for animals! Growing up with animals in my household ranging from cats to dogs (to even turtles and birds) has given me an affinity to not just adore all types of animals, but has given me the proper skills to understand the responsibility of caring for an animal. I understand that all animals are unique in what makes them feel comfortable and loved and will always do what is best to ensure the safety and comfortability of your pet! For dogs: - A meet and greet would be a great idea beforehand to get to know both you and your dog, so I can provide the best service possible! - I love being outdoors as much as I can, so I plan to take your dog for long walks as much as I can! - As for potty breaks, I think three times a day is the absolute minimum. Once in the morning, afternoon, and before bedtime. However, if I am not working, I can take them out as much as you/they desire! - Maintaining your pets feeding routine is very important to and I take special care to be considerate of any special dietary care you dog needs. - Lastly, I know it can be hard for some animals to be separated from their loved ones. I will make sure they are feeling loved while they are under my care. For cats: - I currently care for an orange tabby rescue, named Hugo, who can be a bit needy, (although him being special only makes me love him more!), so I understand that cats can require a lot of attention and love, and I will ensure to give them plenty while they are under my care. - Cleanliness is very important when caring for cats, as the owner and of a cat, I know my cat can get upset if his litter box is not kept in pristine condition, and when caring for your cat I will do the same! - Diet is just as important for animals as it is for humans. Feeding your pet according to their needs is something I will take seriously. I work part time, Wed - Sat, however I can be pretty flexible to accommodate your schedule. If I am unable to meet the needs requested I will be sure to give as much notice as possible. In a clients home, I like to keep things tidy and work within the boundaries discussed with the client. Cleanliness is important to me and I appreciate staying in homes that are kept in generally good condition. I try to mirror the animal's usual routine in a home and prioritize everyone’s comfortability.

About: I genuinely love all animals! If I could have 10 dogs, I would. Over the last 15 years I’ve cared for family and friends pets whenever needed, welcoming them into my home or visiting theirs. I love small dogs, big dogs, high energy dogs or low. I can adapt to almost any pets needs, frequent walks, extra snuggles, administer medicines, providing treats, and extra attention. I can’t wait to snuggle and spoil your fur baby. I lost my greater swiss mountain dog in July of 2024, and quickly realized life without a dog wasn’t for me. I adopted a new pup in October. We are excited to welcome your pup into the mix! I’m a teacher with all summer off, so I have unlimited flexibility during the summer months (July and August). During the school year, I work 7am-3pm on weekdays. My yard is unfenced, but your pup will be offered frequent walks and potty breaks. My dog and I spend hours of time outside every day. We walk the trails in our neighborhood and often go to local parks to explore different places. I typically follow your every directive because all dogs needs are different. If you tell me your dog doesn’t enjoy the heat of the summer, we will be couch potatoes in the air conditioning. No worries, I'm your girl! I do my best to keep your pet on their normal schedule. Their routine is disturbed enough with your absence, it's my job to pamper them while you're gone.
