“My dog had an AMAZING time with Nicole. He can be a bit anxious, but warmed right up to her and really enjoyed spending the day napping on the couch and taking walks. If I ever find myself needing a sitter in the area again I would rebook with Nicole in a heartbeat, especially since she even has fenced in areas outside that would be amazing when the weather warms up.”

About: My own dogs are always the #1 teacher. They show me how to best care for them - with food, play, training, medications, travel, sleepless days and nights when they've been ill, and giving them all them comfort I can. I've volunteered at dog shelters, spent hours walking dogs in all kinds of weather, and offered comfort to friends who've had to say goodbye to their best fur friends. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets plenty of attention - playing, feeding, and scratching behind the ears. I take my dog for swims in the river, off leash romps in the woods, and leashed walks around town. We also play fetch and tug-of-war in the house or on the deck. If your dog needs a playmate, my dog, Jackson, may be a good fit. My cats - depending on their mood - like to lounge in the sun, pounce on the occasional toy, run up stairs, and hunt for treats I've hidden for them.
About: I am recently retired and a new dog owner as of 2024. I enjoy spending time with dogs and my own dog, Tilly, is very socialable with other dogs and humans. The fenced in backyard is a combination of grass and woods, providing plenty of areas to explore, relax and play. Currently retired and a relatively new dog owner (1+ year). I can host your pet any day of the week providing I am home. I enjoy walking, playing and napping with my dog Tilly and would provide the same level of care for your dog. My backyard is fenced in and provides plenty of space to roam around. There are paths through the wooded area, a large section of grass and plenty of shade. On a pleasant day, your pup will spend a good deal of time playing with our dog Tilly outside and then napping on the couch or an outside bed.
“Nicole was wonderful with our dog Riley! She took him for doggy daycare and you know he enjoyed it because the second day we brought him he couldn’t wait to jump out of the car to see her! Her kids were great with him too. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Riley with Nicole again.”

“5 STAR! ? Just a pleasure. She took me at the last minute. Communicated wonderfully. Sent me pictures and videos. Honestly the best rover experience I’ve had! My dog had a blast and came ready to sleep after a fun filled day.”

“Lauren graciously accepted our last minute request for our dog. Her love for animals is apparent when you communicate with her, and she was super accommodating. We highly recommend her!”

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.
“Marielle took great care of my little Zuzu! My puppy started the day sad about me leaving her there and by the end she was totally bonded with Marielle! She was also totally tuckered out so she clearly got plenty of exercise.”

“Can't say enough good things about Sophia. She was extremely caring and loving with our puppy, a true animal lover and very pleasant person to deal with. Thank you once again!!!”

“Jack is so kind and patient, and really understands how to connect with, care for, and teach dogs! He is easy to communicate with, thoughtful, and responsible. Ellie loves her time with Jack! We are SO grateful for his excellent care!”

“I was nervous to leave my 4 month old puppy Eva for the first time, but Janice made me feel so comfortable. Eva is a party girl and had the best time with Janice's fur and human family, she didn't want to leave! Grateful to have a second home for Eva”

“Great experience of doggy day care. Eleanor met us and our dog prior to the doggy day care visit. She has a calm demeanor. She sent photos throughout the day to show us our dog was content - what more can one ask for? Thank you Eleanor.”

“Jacqueline was very friendly and communicative, and Bunsen took an instant liking. We received photos of her well-being during her stay and of her mile walk. Jacqueline’s home is conveniently located in a popular historic town, making drop-off/pickup easy on the way to/from Hunter Ski Resort from our hotel. Bunsen was well cared for and happy. She was also so tired, that she managed to rest during the long car ride back home! We would book Jacqueline again.”

“Amy and her husband Chris took great care of my six month old puppy for the day. It was an early drop-off and they were incredibly accommodating (and patient when my puppy then cried like someone had died after I left). Amy was very responsive over text and I felt like my girl was in extremely good hands! Would recommend!”

About: I grew up in a cat household and became a dog mom as soon as I left home. I absolutely love all of the cats and dogs I’ve been fortunate enough to meet in this life. I raised my pup, Grumble, from 3 weeks old until she left this world at 11 years old. I am very familiar with the range of needs a dog will have throughout life, from teething to play to mobility assistance. I'm fully available in the winter as my regular job (gardening) is seasonal and won't be picking up again until later in the spring time. I can be flexible to your pets needs and more than happy to follow any directions you provide me with for their optimal care and contentment.
About: I have over 5 years of professional experience owning and operating a dog care company, where I provide dependable, hands-on care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. I currently own and train dogs, including service dogs and dogs working toward their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification, which has given me extensive experience with daily routines, consistency, and individualized care. In addition to my professional work, I’ve also worked with foster dogs, helping provide stable, attentive care as they transition into new homes. This experience has made me patient, reliable, and comfortable caring for dogs with a wide range of backgrounds. Beyond my professional experience, I have over 30 years of owning, caring for, and loving my own animals and those of friends and family. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I prioritize safety, reliability, and clear communication. I follow owner instructions closely, maintain consistent schedules, and make sure every pet feels secure and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or extended care, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s what I’ve built my life around. My goal is always to give pet parents peace of mind and provide loving, dependable care. My schedule is very flexible, as I’m a salaried employee, which allows me to adjust my availability around the needs of the pets in my care. I’m able to accommodate a variety of schedules, including daytime visits, extended stays, and last-minute requests when possible. This flexibility helps me provide consistent, attentive care without rushing, and ensures pets receive the time and attention they deserve. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities. Pets in my care are welcomed into my home and treated as part of the household, with the freedom to relax and roam as if it were their own home. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and closely follow any care instructions provided. My goal is to create a secure, stress-free space where pets feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease while their owners are away.

About: I would love to take your dog for a walk or hike in and around the Woodstock area. I have many years of experience owning dogs and cats, and dog and cat sitting for friends since I was a kid. I have also spent time walking dogs at animal shelters and am trained in pet first aid and cpr. I love big dogs, little dogs and anything in between :) I'm usually available during the day and some evenings and weekends. I love to hike and would also be happy to hike with your dog. I'm passionate about health and wellness and natural living. I'm originally from the UK but have been living in NY for over two decades. I live in the Woodstock area with my two daughters, our two rescue dogs and our rescue kitten. I’m usually out walking dogs in the morning and working from home in the afternoons. My dogs love to play with other pups and we enjoy going on long walks or taking care of pets in our home. I’m also available for drop in visits at your home, or for your dogs to stay at our home while you are away. I always keep dogs on the leash and make sure we get plenty of time outside.
