“William is an excellent Dog Sitter. His hours are very flexible, if I get stuck at work a little late. My dog loves him. As soon as we pull up to the house, he starts wagging his tail all excited to go visit his new friends.”

“Barbara is great! I have an 8 week old Labrador retriever, full of puppy energy and I was very carefully vetting someone I felt could handle him with authentic love and care but who also understands dogs in all stages of their lives. After reading about Barbara and her experience and love for animals my gut told me she was the right choice. I was right! She was accommodating, punctual, friendly, kept me updated throughout the day & took pictures which made me feel at ease knowing he was thriving in her care. She has a beautiful yard which is a huge plus cause I know my boy got some good fun & exercise. Will definitely rebook :)!”
“Jonathan was excellent. He introduced my dog to his own dogs so that they can get comformtable around each other since my dog is afraid of big dogs. Jonathan kept updating me throughout the day with pictures and text messages. I was very happy with the service and care my pet got from Jonathan and will definitely go back to them in futuure.”

I have hands-on experience providing safe, reliable, and loving care ensuring they feel at home even when their family is away. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets of different breeds, ages, and temperaments—covering everything from daily feeding and exercise to giving medications and keeping them calm in new environments. Why families trust me: I care for each pet as if they were my own. I keep their routine consistent, so they feel at home. I’m patient and gentle with pets that are shy, or need extra attention. About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover who understands that your pets aren't just animals—they are family. I know how important it is to have absolute peace of mind when you are away from home, which is why I focus on providing a structured, safe, and loving environment for every dog I care for. Pet care is a true family affair in our household! Because I partner directly with my mother, we are able to offer round-the-clock, highly flexible care that fits seamlessly into any pet's routine. While I manage a structured schedule during the day, my mother has excellent daytime availability to ensure pets are never left lonely, missed a potty break, or skipped a feeding. I am fully available every evening and all weekend long. This tag-team approach means your furry family member gets the absolute best of both worlds: constant companionship and supervision during the day, and dedicated exercise, walks, and playtime in the evenings and weekends. Someone is almost always home, making our schedule incredibly reliable! I have a fenced backyard and an in ground pool to keep your pups cool during the summer. I also have my own 3 dogs who are all friendly and welcoming.
“Kevin is the best! My anxious cavapoo Cleo, absolutely loves staying with him! She is always so happy and relaxed with him! Kevin is incredibly kind, easygoing, and flexible, which makes coordinating everything so stress-free. His communication is always clear and consistent, and I never have to worry when Cleo is with him. The biggest thing for me is how comfortable and happy Cleo feels in his care! Highly, highly recommend Kevin!”

About: Book with me. To ensure you have the best sitter for your pup, I provide a safe, warming, calm, fun environment when booked for an overnight stay at my place. Constant walks throughout the day. Always keep about two bowls of water around the house and provide daily morning exercise routines (my morning walks/jogs). I do recommend clients/parents to provide food and treats for dogs and keep me aware of any allergies or habits the pup has. I have no problem buying treats or toys as long as it’s okay with the client/parent. This also goes for traveling to clients/parents homes. As of Doggy Day Care, I do not mind dog sitting more than 2 pup as long as they are 22lbs or less and we’ll trained. I do ask clients/parents if it’s okay to have another families dog around before booking. If not, that’s okay. I will respect your request and book another day with the parent and his/her pup. I will be having open availability after September 29th, 2019 which is my last day with my job. I am currently 21 weeks pregnant and will recommend the parents to book for Doggy Day Care Services and Overnight ONLY.

She is very communicative and lets me know any changes observed in Porter during his stay, plus sends cute pictures regularly. I trust her with my deaf/blind senior completely.”

“Sara takes really good care of Winnie. I know this from the way Winnie runs up the driveway to meet her every morning. He is usually nervous around other dogs but Sara dealt with that like a pro. Now he has dog friends at Sara’s that he enjoys being with.”

“Suna provided outstanding and loving care to Buddy while he was with her. Buddy enjoyed going to her home every day and playing with her sweet Maltese, Mimi. The two dogs became forever friends! Suna communicated with us daily, providing text and photo updates, clearly indicating that Buddy was well taken care of during his time with her. I highly recommend Suna if you're looking for someone who will go the extra mile to insure that your beloved pet is safe and happy, whether for overnight stays or daytime care.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Madison Park
William is a very nice, caring, friendly man. He watched my 11 week old bullmastiff pup and I couldn't have asked for a better person to watch him for the day. William provided photos of him playing in the yard with the other dogs and socializing with the neighbors. He is an all around good guy and I would definitely recommend and use him again in the future.

Megan is beyond words amazing. She looked after our pupper, and we could not ask for anyone better. We honestly wished she lived closer to us so we could use her more often. We dropped our older arthritic boy off with her for a few hours while we attended an appointment close by. Without having met her before, our dog was instantly comfortable with her. In a few hours, he was in love. She took perfect care of him, having water ready when we arrived and going above and beyond to make him comfortable. Very much appreciate that she has an "intake" where she asks pertinent useful questions and communicates with us about what's best for the dog while he is in her care. She sends copious amounts of photos (love it) and communicates while we are out to let us know how he is doing. I cannot recommend Megan enough. Top notch person and dogsitter.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Madison Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
