“We have used Marya a few time for daycare. This is the first time we've had to leave town for a few days and Mochi has ever done boarding. He came home happy and healthy as usual.”

“Beyond fantastic! Kasandra kept our cocker while we were away for 2 weeks. Not only was he very well cared for—he was actually better than when we left him! He is way calmer and has better manners than he had at drop off. Kasandra gave me some pointers that will help me a lot with him at home. This gal is a dog whisperer!! I could not be more grateful. Thank you Kasandra!”

About: I have always been an animal lover and understand that pets are part of the family. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m a proud dog owner of Aslan, a Chihuahua-Poodle mix, and I know how important it is to provide patience, love, attention, and a safe environment. I’m currently open from Mon- Friday from 10am- 7pm. Whatever your dogs needs I’m there for it. I will be available most of days except the weekends in the morning. I have a fenced yard and I do allow dogs to go on the furniture and bed. I also have extra leashes and blankets if needed.
“Giezell and her family took excellent care of my little Brownie for 5 days while we were on vacation. I received pictures and updates throughout each day of how Brownie was doing. I can see Brownie was happily enjoying herself with their dog. Giezell also made sure Brownie was administered her needed medicines. Usually I worry when leaving Brownie with others, but with Giezell I felt comfortable and assured that she would be well taken care of. I'm going to continue to use Giezell for future bookings and daycare playdates with their little dog. Thank you so much!!”

“Prior to boarding, John and I along with our dogs met up. He responded to all my messages in timely manner. He was very flexible and he sent some pics while we were away. He’s customer service was excellent.”

“Cedric is absolutely wonderful. From initial contact/request, his communication is great. Very thoughtful about every aspect of my dog's care from drop-off to pick-up and everything in between. Each update Cedric provided with photos or videos, it was easy to see my puppo was comfortable and happy staying with Cedric. I often move cities due to work, but any times I need someone to take care of my dog while in Sacramento, Cedric will always be my first choice! 😊”

“Melissa did an excellent job caring for my senior pup by making him feel safe and comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. I will definitely be utilizing her services again.”

“Ann was great! She responded to a last minute request and was very communicative about our pup the entire time we had to be away. I can tell that she genuinely loves animals and give them love and attention like they are her own.”

“XingYuan was great!! All the updates with pictures and videos were awesome & I could tell my dog was very comfortable with her & happy! Will use her again in the future.”

“Yifang was able to board Todd on short notice. She was friendly and her place was clean and secured. Todd was relaxed even though it was his first time there, and he had a great stay at her home. Yifang kept me updated with pictures and messages! Five stars for her.”

“Esther was fantastic. She sent updates and pics daily. Rilee can be a bit skittish but I could tell he felt comfortable with her. He went on lots of walks and got a lot of love. So glad to have found Esther. Will definitely rebook with her in the future.”

Let’s make tails wag and hearts happy Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. With over 16 years of experience in pet sitting and dog walking — and a background working in a veterinary clinic — caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I truly love. I’ve shaped my schedule around being there when your pets need me most, whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or extended stays. I approach each day with patience, reliability, and a calm energy that animals respond to. Your pets’ comfort and well-being are always my top priority. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I offer a cozy, clean, and peaceful space where they can relax, play, and enjoy lots of one-on-one attention. I carefully introduce them to the space and tailor everything to their individual needs — whether that means quiet corners, slow-paced walks, or plenty of playtime. No matter the setting, your pet’s well-being is always my top priority.
“This was the first time that I have left my senior girl since her life companion passed so I was extremely nervous, but Raissa was amazing and took extraordinary care of her. She was attentive, and sent me regular pictures, letting me know in detail what my dog was doing, and when she noticed she was a little nervous/anxious she went above and beyond. She addressed her needs by taking extra time outside, and adjusting her own schedule, treating her as one of her own. I am so grateful and I definitely highly recommend her.”

About: Hello! My name is Morgan, and I’m an experienced dog mom and pet sitter with a lifelong love for animals. I grew up in the country surrounded by animals, so caring for pets has always been a big part of my life. During college, I fostered dogs and regularly pet sat, which is actually how I found my own dog, Tana. I’ve enjoyed it so much that we decided, why not expand to Rover? I truly believe that pets are apart of the family and I will care for your pup like they’re one of my own. I have a very flexible schedule and me and my partner, Brandon, are home everyday. This gives us plenty of time for walks, playtime, potty breaks, feeding, and lots of attention. I treat every pet like they are my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal feeding, walking, sleeping, and medication routine.
About: I have owned dogs most of my life from a Doberman pinscher to a chowchow to an Australian cattle dog and a couple cats throughout my life. I love animals! I no longer have our latest family Australian cattle dog who was with us for 17 years and miss being around animals. I am an independent contractor in real estate so I can set my own hours. I’m very flexible! I love to get out and walk a lot for exercise for myself as well! I give them lots of love and attention that they need. Play with them and make sure they’re happy, exercised, and well fed at their eating time
About: I am experienced with caring for all kinds of dogs. I have access to many dog parks and walk them up to 5 times a day. I adapt to the pet’s needs to give them the best care. I have a golden retriever (6 mo.) and a labradoodle (10 yrs). My golden (Sunny) is super friendly and loves to make friends! I ensure that your pet’s needs are met and they have the highest form of care. I’m a junior at the University of California, Davis. I have a flexible schedule with my course work that allows me to be fully engaged with the dogs in my care. I live in a gated community so pets can’t easily get out. I take my puppy on long walks at the Davis Arboretum and have a dog park where I live which ensures they are getting their exercise and playtime. My apartment is clean for health safety. If I am staying at the owner’s home, I will apply the owner’s directions.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Madison home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Madison.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Madison sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
