“What can I say about Gloria. She is amazing and is the only one I trust my pets with. My Lilly gets so excited everytime we arrive at Gloria's house. I definitely recommend and trust Gloria for my fur babies.”

“I was so glad that Maggie was available to take care of my doggy again on my recent visit to Palm Desert. I think Chalie remembered what a nice time he had the last time he stayed there because he wagged his tail and did not even look back as Maggie walked him to her home. Indeed, he got lots of love and attention from Maggie’s son and seemed very happy on all the pictures she sent. I hope to use her services again next time I am in Palm Desert. I highly recommend her.”

“Judith was amazing. She was very good at communicating and sent me lots of pictures of my dog (even though my dog is camera shy). She was really flexible and worked with me when my schedule changed a bit. I will be picking to send Vexy to her house next time we need a Rover.”

“Geri was the best! Don't be fooled by her stern-looking profile photo; she is anything but! Super stylish and kind, with a huge heart. Our Roxy was very happy with her stay with Geri, and her home is beautiful, and every detail was accounted for in making it super doggy friendly. Her lil pup is also very sweet and got along very well with our picky, not-usually-a-dog-person dog, Roxy, which says a lot. Anyway, look no further, we highly recommend choosing Geri for your doggy needs!!”

“I booked a two-week vacation and needed someone truly special to care for my dog, Ella. Most kennels in the area have no dog limits and don’t separate by size. Not the right fit for my sweet, slightly bougie girl! Matthew offered the perfect blend of comfort, safety, and home-style care. His house is pet-friendly and charming, with a doggy door to the front patio and another to the back, so Ella could choose where to lounge. He limits the number of dogs he watches, sent regular photos and updates, and was wonderfully flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. Ella looked so happy and relaxed in every picture. It gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I couldn’t recommend Matthew more highly, and I’ll definitely be rebooking with him in the future!”

“Absolutely the best. I have a difficult dog, and Candace was extremely confident and loving with her. I have full peace of mind when she's watching my dog. Thank you Candace!”

“My dogs had a very pleasant stay with Sierra. She sent us pictures and updated us on how they were doing daily. I have no reservations in recommending her if you are looking for a sitter for your dog.”

“Lynn provided a welcoming place to stay for my dog. My dog is a rescue dog who has very little social time and can be defensive. Lynn was very proactive and Lynne’s dog Lucy was too. My dog, Isla, was able to stay with Lynne for two days. Isla was a very happy camper. I will say that Lynne receives 5 stars from me. I will recommend her to anyone looking for a person knowledgeable about pets who has the skills to make it a really great experience for your pet.”

“What a great dog boarding experience. The host was so friendly, and made us and our dog feel right at home. He was well taken care of and we would definitely have him stay with the host again. Thank you!”

“I cannot thank Cici enough for taking such great care of my furry son & best buddy, Bruin. There is a reason Cici has so many repeat customers- she goes above and beyond to ensure each pup is well cared for during their stay and she provides peace of mind to us parents by sending regular updates, photos and videos, which goes a long way. Thank you for all you do, Cici - I am appreciate beyond words 🙏🏻🥰👍”

“We love Louise and the care she provides for our dog, Sunny. She has cared for Sunny several times and always provides thoughtful updates and a warm, loving home while we’re away. We’re so grateful to have someone we trust so completely with our pup.”

“Thank you, Julie for making us feel so comfortable while we were away! Leaving your fur baby is never easy but with the pictures and check-ins, you had us feeling like we left our sweet Kendrick, with family.”

“I couldn't be happier with Larry's care of the kids and neither could the kids. My elderly Westie came home very perky after his stay. The lab had a new friend to play with and our little girl was treated like the princess she thinks she is. I highly recommend Larry to sit your furry friends.”

“What a wonderful experience our Thunder had staying with Sam and Darrell in their beautiful Palm Springs bungalow. Our puppy was attended to, snuggled, played with and walked;we were consistently updated with pictures and brief messages. We will definitely book Sam again in the future!”

“Angelica took such good care of our active husky! She was also very communicative and accessible, sharing lots of pictures and video. We were able to have peace of mind the whole time. Thank you!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Macomber Palms
Our dog Simon is always taken care of with love & caring. Gloria is wonderful dog sitter & Simon needed extra special care this time, with some new medications to administer over a period of days with changing dosages. Gloria took on the task as any mother would for her child and I knew Simon was well looked after. I am so very thankful for her.

Gloria is amazing, and we feel so lucky to have found her! This was the second time she watched our dog, Pepper, while we were out of town, and once again she went above and beyond. Pepper had a little tummy trouble during our trip, and Gloria was right on it, she communicated promptly, kept a close eye on him, and handled everything with so much care. We will use her again and we highly recommend her! Thanks again Gloria for taking such good care of Pepper!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
