“Tammy has been doing daily weekday walks with my dog about about two months now and does a fantastic job. She treats my dog with love and care and is very reliable. In rare cases when a scheduling conflict came up, she let me know well in advance so I could plan for it. I couldn’t ask for a better person to walk my dog.”

“I can tell she cares for my dog the way I do when I’m not around! I am so thankful to have found someone that I can fully trust with my pup and with my home. When I leave my house I tell my dog “Virginia is going to come” and he gets so excited and looks out the window to wait for her. She deserves the best review, but I don’t want to share her! She truly is the best and we appreciate her so much!”

“Sam was excellent and exceeded our expectations when caring for our golden retriever, Maggie! Loved the updates, pictures and videos! 10/10, would hire again in a heartbeat.”

“Brennan did great with our dogs Buckley and Spider-Man! She picked them up and took them both on a great walk, was very flexible working with us and our schedule. We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

About: I've had my own pets since 1991. I had a rabbit and dog in college and have learned over the decades how to best care for our friends. I've just retired from a busy career, so I know how important it is to find someone to care for your animals when you're away; even if it's just the gym or happy hour after work. I've fostered for several area rescues and know folks have a different idea of appropriate care. I only use fear free methods, because our animals need to know they can trust us. I've had young high energy dogs who need play and long walks and I've cared for my dogs in their last years when they needed additional care or special medical needs including pills, dressings, eye drops and carrying older dogs who aren't as mobile anymore. I would love to get to know your pets and help you give them the best life. I'm currently retired and searching for part time employment. I don't mind early or late night visits since our dogs don't have a 9 to 5 schedule. I do have an active social and volunteering schedule but it's flexible enough to accommodate your needs. I have cared for many dogs who need to be crated or who are door dashers and escape artists. I have a calm energy that helps put pets at ease. I'm a fan of high value treats to make the crate a special place. My personal dogs are crate trained but I know that's not for everyone.

About: I grew up in a family full of vets, animal enthusiasts, and even zoo staff! I have cared for animals of all shapes and sizes- even raccoons, birds, reptiles, rodents, and of course many cats and dogs! I have a pretty regular schedule each week so it is very easy for me to plan around in order to take care of your furry friends. I have extensive knowledge of pet care and nutrition for my own cats and dog, and I will treat your babies as my own while under my care, ensuring they are happy and healthy at all times! Happy to follow any requests or routines.

“Nick was excellent. We needed someone on short notice to take our energetic dog for long walks for 4 days while my husband recouped from a muscle sprain. Nick was responsive, on time each day, sent Rover Cards documenting the map and time of his walks. Great guy. Our dog took to him like a dog takes to a bone. Will definitely use Nick again.”

About: If you're looking for someone to watch your pets while you're away, then look no further. I have been taking care of my own animals my whole life, and have sat for other people on numerous occasions. I have also assisted with much of the care and feeding of a dog and several cats over the years. I live in South St. Louis City, and I can only really work there or in areas near there, but if you live close to me you will never be without the help you need. I can stay in your house if you'd like me to, but I can't keep other people's pets in my house because I have a very nervous and shy cat who would be made uncomfortable by this and a crazy dog who might scare your pets. I repeat: I can stay in your house or I can just pop in and out to take care of your pets, but I cannot have outside animals stay in my home. I also walk dogs. The rates for that might be a little bit different, but I assure you they will still be affordable. I will be your pet's new best friend and your asset when you are in a pinch or are going somewhere and can't take care of them. I have loved animals since I was a child, and I rarely find one with which I don't get along. I don't have a job which will take me out of town frequently, so I can provide my services as long as they are needed. I look forward to meeting you and your adorable animal friends! I have availability on weekdays as well as weekends Message me and we can talk about scheduling a time for me to walk your dog I will make sure the animal gets whatever care they need I am not a vet though, so if your animal is sickly and/or old then I don't know how well I can care for them

About: I've had/taken care of dogs my whole life. My husband and I love dogs and have a big yard for them to run around in. We often dogsit for family and friends when they are out of town. We lost our fur baby a couple months ago due to old age and frankly we miss him and the energy he brought to our house. Your furbaby (or babies) would have a whole house to themselves and would have the full attention of a loving couple. We live in a great neighborhood for walks and have several parks nearby. Both my husband and I work full time jobs out of the house, but are never gone more than 8 hours at a time. Our routine with our recent furbaby would be walks and breakfast in the morning before work (around 8ish), a walk/play outside after work (around 4ish) and then a bathroom break outside before bed. On weekends we have more time to spend with your dog(s) We understand that every dog is special and has special needs! We are open to all care routines and any oddities your dog may have (we used to have to hide our trash can from our dog before leaving the house 😅). As long as you provide instructions, we feel confident managing any schedules, medical care, oddities, or routines. Your fur baby will be in a loving household that just misses having dogs around all the time.

“Anna was so great with walking our dog, Cleo! She came over the day before to learn about Cleo’s routines & get a layout of the house and yard. Anna walked Cleo & played fetch with her in the yard. She also sent pictures :) we will definitely be using Anna in the future for our drop-in and walking needs!”

“Katie was so good with our a rowdy 1 yr old- I really appreciated her help with Stella! This was my first time using Rover and I am so glad I did! Stella ended up napping after her walk and play time with Katie so I could work late without a dog in my lap :) Thank you Katie!!”

Starting in 2006, I began caring for others' pets in my home, then in 2018, I had more freedom to start house sitting as well. I am available full-time, outside of the occasional appointment or event. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thanks! I have no pets or young children. I have my own vehicle. About: 🤩 I’m new to Rover but not new to pet care — with years of experience and a soft spot for pups and kitties, I’m offering intro rates to welcome new clients.. What makes me different from other sitters is that I bring both heart AND experience. With over a decade of hands-on care for dogs and cats, I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. • 🐾 Senior Pet Care: I’m patient and gentle with older pets, making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. • 🐕 Puppy Know-How: From potty training to managing zoomies, I’ve got the energy (and the tricks) to help puppies thrive. • 💊 Medication & Special Care: Comfortable administering pills, supplements, or other special routines. • 🐈 Shy or Anxious Pets: I know how to give them space, build trust, and earn their affection at their pace. Beyond skills, I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and trustworthy. You’ll always know how your pets are doing because I send detailed updates and fun photos — so you can relax knowing they’re in loving hands. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s a big part of my daily life. Right now, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets the attention they deserve. • 🐾 Daily Walks & Drop-Ins: I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings for walks, playtime, and snuggles. • 🐕 Weekends: I keep my weekends open for pet parents who need an extra hand — whether that’s walks, drop-ins, or extended visits. • 🐈 Consistency Matters: I build pet care into my day so your pets have a reliable routine they can count on. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for your pets in your home or during a walk, I treat every furry family member as if they were my own. • 🐾 In Your Home: I follow your routines closely, from feeding schedules to favorite toys, so your pets feel secure in their familiar environment. I keep doors locked, double-check gates, and make sure everything is just as you left it. • 🐕 On Walks: I use secure leashes/harnesses and stay alert to keep pets safe around traffic, other dogs, and distractions. Safety comes first, fun comes second (but don’t worry, we’ll get plenty of tail wags in). • 🐈 Trust: I respect your space and your home — you can feel confident knowing I’ll treat it with care, and I’ll always provide updates and photos so you know your pets are happy and safe. My goal is for you to relax while you’re away, knowing your pets are not only cared for, but loved. ❤️

About: I grew up with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. At one point I was taking care of 3 dogs. Currently helping my roommate train her small dogs! I am able to care for pets most nights and weekends! Can stay overnight or make a quick stop for potty breaks, walks, and lovings. I keep a relatively strict feeding schedule but know when to throw in some extra treats for fun. I do my best to exercise with pets and get their energy out in a safe manner.

About: I've been taking care of three dogs since 9 years old. Walked, fed, played, even trained the a bit with my folks. I've dealt with many kinds of dogs form big to small, to loud and quiet, and even the most hyper ones next to the chill ones. I'm a fast learner and always listen closely to the ones that need more attention. Currently I have no work right now, so afternoons and nights are no problem. Weekends are an open day for me so if you need someone over all day, it won't be a problem. Currently I do not have any pets sadly, however I know when to crate a dog, or if you need them to be. Everyone has a different way of caring for their pets, my only concern would be your explanations on how you would handle a situation, and I'll request my own if needed.

Amy H.
“I couldn’t be happier with our experience with Amy! From the moment she met my dogs Iko and Clinton, it was clear they had a natural connection. Iko (Border Collie) can be a little pushy at first, but Amy was incredibly patient, kind, and gentle, which kept him calm and behaved. She went above and beyond in caring for Clinton—taking the time for walks, playtime, and even sending regular updates on administrations of his medicine. It was obvious she truly cared and paid attention to both of their needs and personality. I came home to healthy dogs and everything was in great shape. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring for their pets.”

“Marsha has been pet-sitting for our family for more than 15 years. She took great care of our older dogs, a Pittie and a teacup Pom, and after they died, she has cared for our next rescue Pittie and rescue teacup Pom. All our dogs are happy to see her, and we are so glad when she is available to stay with them. We don’t worry about our house either, and we know she leaves it in the same condition we left it. The neighbors recognize her from her walks with our dogs, and tell us she is attentive and playful with them. She’s terrific.”

Eileen is a natural with animals. Its like they just know when she walks in the room. We can relax on our trips when she's there. We'll get pictures of them throughout the day. Our home is always perfect when we get home kitchen cleaned everything picked up. She even runs the vacuum before we get home (we have a shedder ). In the summer time she's kind enough to keep up with all my flowers too! You can count on Eileen to keep everything you love in order when your gone.”
