About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover based on a 10-acre homestead in Pageland, SC. I specialize in structured, safe boarding with supervised outdoor time and secure indoor accommodations. We have a brand-new 6-foot wooden privacy fence enclosing our backyard, providing a secure area for dogs to exercise, stretch, and explore during supervised potty breaks and play sessions. Guests stay in our large climate-controlled sunroom outfitted with seven kennels, giving each dog their own secure space to rest comfortably between outdoor time, meals, and enrichment. Crate rotation and routine breaks are built into our daily schedule, ensuring dogs have consistency and predictability. Crate & House Access Policy • Crating is standard when we are away or sleeping, and during rest periods. • Potty breaks are offered approximately every 2 hours during waking hours. • For older, calm, fully house-trained, non-destructive, and cat-friendly dogs, free-roam house access may be considered on a case-by-case basis with owner request and compatibility assessment. • Dogs with separation anxiety, destructive tendencies, or unsafe habits (counter-surfing, door-bolting, etc.) will remain on our structured crate schedule for their safety. Experience & Approach I’ve owned and cared for everything from hedgehogs and geckos to chickens, horses, and working-breed dogs. I’m comfortable with: • Medication administration (oral or topical) • Senior dogs • Puppies & house-training stages • Reactive or shy personalities • High-energy dogs who require clear routines • Multi-dog coexistence and safe rotations My husband runs his own business and is home most of the time, ensuring someone is almost always present for supervision, potty break intervals, and routine care. I am home evenings and weekends, and we work together to provide structure, security, and consistent monitoring. What You Can Expect • Individual crate spaces (no shared kennels) • 6-ft fully fenced private yard • Consistent potty break schedule (≈ every 2 hours) • Supervised outdoor time only • Optional house freedom only if fully compatible • Daily updates, photos, and communication We focus on safe, predictable, and tailored care based on each dog’s needs and the comfort level of their owner. Whether a pup thrives with structured crate rest or enjoys calm, supervised sunroom naps, we tailor stays responsibly rather than one-size-fits-all. I work full-time as an insurance producer in Monroe, NC from 8–5, Monday through Friday. I’m home all day on weekends, and during the week, my husband is at our homestead full-time and helps provide care and supervision. Since we work as a team, your pets will never be left alone for long periods. I’m also available for morning or evening drop-ins and walks depending on location and schedule! We live on a peaceful 10-acre homestead. We do not allow free play with other pets - so you know that your furry friend is safe and sound the entire stay! They will have supervised playtime with other pups from the same household, or with just our staff! Our top priority is a safe stay.

About: I have grown up around dogs and cats my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. My experience includes large breeds such as Mastiffs and Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, Dachshunds, domestic cats, Sphynx cats, and feral cats. I have also worked in a doggy daycare under the supervision of a veterinarian, which gave me additional experience in a professional animal-care setting. I understand the importance of patience, safety, following care instructions, and recognizing that every animal has different needs and behaviors. I am passionate about providing loving, attentive care and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy. I treat every animal as if they were my own and strive to give pet owners peace of mind while they are away. i am currently working part time so i will have plenty of time to play with your fur baby’s! i’m available for over nights as well! When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I follow each pet’s routine, feeding, providing fresh water, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. About: I've had a love/passion for dogs since I was born into this life. Growing up, I've always had a dog in the house, so it easily became the norm for me. I have experience with a wide variety of breeds, including doberman, pitbulls, great dane, labs, boxers, beagles, and mutts. I truly love them all. I'm open to taking care of all breeds. I don't discriminate! One thing I will note is that I specialize in high energy/working dogs and am very familiar with larger breeds. Just to give you a quick example, I raised a Doberman from a puppy which led to me learning A LOT throughout the process. Doberman are a working breed and require plenty of mental and physical stimulation & I think I cracked the code! I’ve developed a deep understanding of what high-energy dogs need to thrive. I'm good at stimulating their minds, keeping them active and most importantly, happy. I'm not a certified dog trainer, but I do understand the importance of balancing their physical and mental well-being, and I'm dedicated to ensuring each dog has a great time with me! I'm very engaging and mindful, so whatever your dog may need, whether it's staying active outside or relaxing at home, I will do my best to provide. That's a promise. When it comes to availability, I am free at the moment. You can contact me any time and I will get back to you asap. I will make sure you feel comfortable with leaving your pets with me. To ensure you of this, I will send you daily photos & videos to show you how good of a time they're having! Also, you can give me a call ANYTIME. I know what it's like to drop my dogs off at a pet sitter's house, so my job is to give you the relief of knowing that your pets are in great hands. I can guarantee you this🙂

About: I'm a certified fitness coach& energy healer who's been in love with animals for as long as I can remember — so combining the two just made sense. I'm out running, walking, and hiking almost every day anyway, and I love having a dog along for the ride as my companion. Whether your pup needs a high-energy run to burn off zoomies, a steady long walk, or a scenic hike, I'll match their pace and keep them safe, happy, and well-exercised the whole time. I treat every dog like my own — plenty of affection, patience, and attention to their individual personality and needs. Your dog won't just get a walk; they'll get a genuine companion who's excited to see them. Pet care fits naturally into my everyday life rather than being a separate task I squeeze in. I teach fitness to private clients, which gives me a lot of flexibility in my schedule to take pups outside for walks, runs, or hikes throughout the day — not just squeezed into a narrow time slot. Whether I'm caring for pets in my own home or a client's, my priority is keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. In a client's home, I stick closely to their normal schedule — feeding times, walk routines, medications if needed — and make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while their owner is away. As an active person who's out running, walking, or hiking daily, I love incorporating pets into that lifestyle, so they get real physical enrichment, not just a quick potty break. In my own home, pets are treated as part of the household — free to relax, cuddle, and settle in, with plenty of outdoor time and supervision. I'm attentive to each animal's individual personality and comfort level, and I always prioritize safety, whether that's pet-proofing a space, using secure leashes/harnesses, or simply reading their body language to know what they need.

We are really delighted to meet her. We also greatly appreciated how she respected our home and gave us the right amount of regular updates on walks, meals, and cuddles.”

About: Hi! I’m Laurel! I’m a 21 year old college student with a passion for animals. I have been building my business, Fingers and Paws Pet Care, since May of 2025! Since then I have served over 30 happy clients, many of whom schedule regular walks/visits! I am committed to providing pets with a safe and engaging environment, and pet parents with peace of mind! I have been an animal lover my whole life, and an involved pet owner since elementary school! I began pet sitting for neighbors and friends when I was in high school. I stayed in client’s homes while caring for their pets to avoid loneliness or a change in routine. This consisted of preparing meals, feeding, walking, giving potty breaks, playtime and other enrichment activities, as well as retrieving mail, watering plants, and ensuring the house maintains cleanliness. Oftentimes, clients would ask me to care for other animals in the home, such as geckos, turtles, and fish, which I am more than happy to do! I also offered drop in visits for neighbors’ pets in high school. This consisted of stopping by, preparing food, feeding, offering potty breaks, play time, walks, and litter changes if needed. Since starting Fingers and Paws, my pet care experience has increased exponentially. I have increased my range of services and now offer house sitting, boarding, drop in visits, walks, baths, and play sessions. Pet care is my full time job, though I am a college student! The majority of my classes are online so I can be as present as possible with your pets! I have one in person class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00pm-2:15pm. Whether I’m hosting a pet or staying in their home, my routine depends on the pet’s routine! I discuss activity levels and a pet’s daily routine with owners before booking a visit. This includes feeding times, walk schedules, potty break schedules, treat schedules, and playtime schedules! Pets are sensitive to changes in their environment, so the goal is to match a pet’s routine as similarly as I can! I live in a condo on the ground floor, which means I have a backyard and can easily bring dogs outside for potty breaks or walks. The condo has three bedrooms so if I’m watching multiple pets, that gives them the opportunity for alone time if needed! I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and your pet will not go without attention or affection while they are with me!

FAQs for House Sitting - Lowrys

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of House Sitting in Lowrys is $44 per night as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $39 and $53 per night. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 217 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lowrys. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lowrys walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lowrys maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lowrys choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lowrys. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
