Thank you again Lynnette!!!”

About: I had my own cat named Jesse for 16 years. He was the love of my life. My best friend, child and ruled the home. I work as a caregiver part time so I make my own schedule. I am home most of the time available to give loving attention. I live in a very pet friendly community with a large courtyard. Many dogs and cats live here. California Park Lake is across the street.
“Wiley enjoyed his stay with Jessica. She and her husband and their dogs and cat welcomed him into their home. They were very accommodating on arrival and drop-off times and making him feel at home.”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was young. I am currently trained in walking with dogs with all different levels of personality’s from the butte humane society Right now I am a full time student I am able to work mornings and on most days and I have no classes Friday- Sunday There is only one exit in my house so getting out is not on the table, I have a common grass area with doggy bags for everyone!
About: Experienced vet assistant with 2 years in a clinic specializing in exotic pets and hard-to-handle dogs. Skilled in caring for animals others turn away, with a calm, patient approach that builds trust and comfort. Whether your pet is shy, feisty, or unique, I provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care I work at a vet clinic Monday–Thursday from 9–5, but I’m fully available Friday–Sunday for all your pet’s needs! From walks and boarding to extra care like nail trims, I’ll make sure your furry (or feisty) friend is safe, happy, and loved. I have two sweet, fixed female dogs and a big yard that opens to a private trail leading to a huge greenbelt—perfect for long walks and playtime! I also have two secure kennels designed for high-anxiety dogs if your pup needs extra comfort.
About: I grew up in a house full of dogs and cats, and I have professionally pet sat since I was a teen. My duties have included feedings, walkings, cleanings, medication dispensing, and so on. I currently work at Enloe during the week, and my husband is home during the day to help with all animal needs! We do have a sweet, friendly German Shepherd in the house that gets along very well with all dogs. It is important to me that your pets are safe, fed, walked, and have fresh water daily. I am willing to follow whatever is your normal routine to keep your pet happy and healthy while you are away.
About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Before Vera, my golden retriever, I had cats my whole life (Kitty, Bugsy, Shadow, and Tiger), along with ferrets, guinea pigs, fish, iguanas, and hermit crabs. Vera was born with partial facial paralysis, and one of her eyes can’t blink, so she needs frequent eye drops to stay comfortable. Caring for her has made me patient, attentive, and confident with pets who need a little extra care. If your pet takes medication or has special needs, I’d be glad to help. While living in the Bay Area, I founded Bay Area Golden Retrievers, which grew to become the region’s largest golden retriever meetup group. I’ve spent a lot of time around dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I know how to read them and keep them happy and safe. With a background in video and photography, I love capturing your pet’s personality. Expect plenty of sharp, well-composed photos and updates so you can see exactly how your best friend is doing. Feel free to reach out about whatever you need! My schedule is very open right now, so I can be flexible for walks, drop-ins, and daytime care, including short-notice requests and weekends. I love working with animals and want to build this into something long-term, so I take every booking seriously. Since I'm already caring for Vera and my chickens throughout the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I'm happy to keep a regular schedule for recurring clients. I treat every pet's routine, health, and safety as a priority. I'll go over feeding, medication, and any quirks or fears before the first visit, and I follow your instructions closely. Caring for Vera, who needs frequent eye drops, and for my chickens through vet visits has taught me to notice small changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort. I'll send photos and updates during every visit, double-check doors, gates, and leashes, and contact you right away if anything seems off or I need a decision from you.

I have ample beds and toys and the dogs have a secluded space in my living room! I’m also able to crate or separate from my own dogs if needed.
About: I provide loving, patient care for pets of all ages, with special experience caring for senior pets—slow walks, cozy snuggles, and gentle attention to keep them safe, happy, and cherished while you’re away. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lovelock home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lovelock.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lovelock sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
