Tammie was an absolute lifesaver while I was on vacation! She came three times a day to care for my cat, including administering oral medication, which can be a challenge—but she handled it with total professionalism and care. She was always on time, incredibly communicative, and sent regular updates that really helped me relax while I was away. When our flight was unexpectedly delayed, she didn’t hesitate to make additional last-minute visits to make sure my cat was safe and comfortable. Her flexibility and dedication truly went above and beyond. It’s such a relief to know my pet is in such capable and compassionate hands. I will 100% be booking with Tammie again and can’t recommend her highly enough!

About: I worked at a vets office for 4+ years that also had a boarding service so I am well trained and experienced on both old and young, sick and healthy. I love them no matter what and will always try to help! I have 6 cats and a puppy who just turned a year old a few months ago. I love them all and they are all very different. I am very well kept and will clean up after myself and even straighten up around the home if asked. I love organizing! I prefer a written out list and steps of how to care for your prt to make sure all areas are covered!

Alisa was absolutely fantastic with my dog, Tsubaki. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and clearly has a natural way with animals. After just one visit, Tsubaki was actually smiling when Alisa arrived for her next walk! I also hired Alisa for overnight sitting, and everything went smoothly. She kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me real peace of mind. I felt completely confident that Tsubaki was in great hands.

About: I have assisted with the care of dogs of varying size. Bathing, feeding, walking. As a pet owner myself, we can all use assistance at times. I’m currently off of college for the summer and looking for opportunities to walk dogs for my enrichment as well as theirs. I have time every morning well into the afternoon as I work night shift. I have an apartment with two adventurous, excited pups of my own. A golden retriever, one year old. A chocolate lab, 3 years old. They love to make new friends. Am able to keep animals for the day if informed ahead of time.

About: Hi, my name is Brian. I’m originally from North Jersey and have recently relocated to Connecticut. As a fellow dog owner, I have a deep passion for working with dogs. I am calm under pressure and naturally patient, qualities that have always supported my leadership skills—especially when it comes to handling and training dogs. I am semi-retired from a career in IT, handyman services, and cleaning, but I want to stay active by doing something I genuinely love. You can count on me for your pet’s care and safety. I specialize in training both puppies and adult dogs using the Cesar Millan method. Additionally, I rehabilitate aggressive dogs through my work with local pounds and shelters. This isn’t just a job or task for me—it’s a true passion. For any inquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Being semi-retired allows me to spend more time with my family and friend. By using this app, it allows me to make my own schedule. I have a fenced in yard and a full finished basement with doors to go right outside. My kids are all grown up and moved out or in college.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
