“Shelby is great! I'm thankful we were able to connect. Things have been very hectic in our world and having someone we can trust walk our very bouncy 80lb puppy has been unbelievably helpful! Shelby asked some good questions about our pup before starting out and I trust her to take good care of Agnes while on their walks. Agnes comes back happy and sleepy everytime - it's a win for everyone!”
About: I’m sorry to say that my partner Rochelle has left the business to continue her education. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Vanessa Gibson. I am Rochelle’s mother and we worked with dogs for over 9 years. I am currently a stay home mom who is willing to babysit some dogs or cats to occupy her time. We have four cats and two dogs. We love all types of animals. We used to babysit a doctors' dog while she was away working or on vacation. We are always willing to learn new things. We are pretty flexible with our time. We are delighted to meet new dogs and cats. We available any time of the day as long as we're told ahead of time. We do not smoke. I am eager to bath your animal if needed. You can count on us. I am a mother of a younger boy who goes to school. I’m always up at 8 a.m. every morning to put my pups out to use the bath. When I have other people pups they get most of my attention. I have an open yard however, I have a rope on my back porch and the front of my house that I ties the pups on and they are free to roam as they please. They go out three times a day. And when the weather is nice they get to enjoy the weather. However, I don’t put the dogs to interact with each other unless I have help.
About: I am in school to become a dog trainer. I’d love to have more experience working with dogs! I’ve been around dogs my whole life! I’d love to help care for your fur babies! I also work at Camp 4 Paws in Kunkletown PA and I’ve had experience working in other kennels prior! I am currently doing online school and working full time, my hours are 1-9pm every mon-fri. If I have enough notice I can take off if need be but I can also help before or after work and on weekends! If I have a list of what you want me to do, I will 100% follow it. I pay very close attention to detail and I will make sure your dog is well cared for! My dog is on a strict diet and I make sure to follow it no matter what. My fur baby has tons of toys and puzzles and lick mats, he has more stuff than I do!
About: I have been in pet care since I 2019 starting with my own puppy. Since then I have worked in professional pet care in education and training through Petco and local businesses. I am dedicated to providing the best and personalized care to your fur baby. I know how important trusting someone to watch over your pet is. I myself have three dogs, two cats, one bird, one spider, five frogs, and one house full of beautiful chaos and love. I want to be the person to put your mind at ease while you are away. During my time with your animals, I will treat them as they are my own with kindness and respect. I will be honored to help care for your little (or big) pet babies! I want this to be my full time job as much as possible. I have my internship (animal care at a local AZA certified zoo) Monday and Friday, but am otherwise free. I have a two story duplex with a fenced in yard in a quiet and safe neighborhood. I love being outdoors and can even offer hikes after getting to know your dogs a little more. I thrive on attention to detail and can even do medication administration and body examinations.
About: I've loved animals my whole life. I grew up around them. Currently I have 1 dog who is a Boxer mix. I would do anything for him. He is my life. I can guarantee that I will go above and beyond for your fur babies! I have the time and dedication for all animals. From me they will get all the love and attention they need. I'm great with animals. They always come to me and are very happy. I always reward them for good behavior whether it be a treat or a toy. You're pets will always be in great hands. Thank you in advance. I work a 9-5 full-time job but will be more than happy to assist you and your fur babies needs whether it be house sitting, dog walking or any drop in visits 😊❤ I first take them out, always on a leash unless otherwise instructed to by the client. I would then feed them and give them water. Afterwards I would stay and play with them and then leave until the next time. If they need to be caged I would always make sure that they are safe and secure in their cage.

“Audrey is just amazing! She’s been walking my dog for 3 months and CoCo absolutely loves her and is so excited to see her. She waits for her by the window and runs to the door when Audrey shows up. I haven’t even needed Audrey except for a couple times - but I keep her regular twice a week because CoCo loves her so much. I’ve called Audrey a couple times at the last minute or to add an extra day and she always come through for me. I could not have met a more dependable, reliable, awesome, and trusted person to walk CoCo twice a week since moving here from OH! We love her and think she is great!”

I am also good at medication injection and oral administration of medication as well. I can do walks, check in's, doggy day care, house sit, etc. I will accommodate your needs for your furbaby. I am not afraid of bigger dogs as most people might be. I think of them as giant teddy bears. My schedule is pretty packed, but I will make accommodations with you to accommodate the needs of your furbabies or ones with scales. I moved in March of last year so boarding at the new place might be a bit busy. I do have enough room to accommodate at least 3 dogs. I don't have a fenced in yard at my apartment however I love to take them on long walks. I have walked dogs of all sizes. Super tiny to 100+lbs. I also have my own pupper Krypto so if boarding at my home please make sure your dog is other dog friendly as well as cats. I have 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 rat and a goldfish. About: My family has owned a pet sitting business in Stroudsburg, called IOU Pet Care, for 15+ years. The first job I ever had was going to people’s homes and walking their pups for an hour, checking food and water bowls as well as litter boxes, or even staying the night there. For the past 15 years, since I was 15 years old, I’ve cared for almost every species of house pet you can think of, in just about every way that the owners needed. I genuinely love animals. Playing with them, training them, caring for them, it’s such a rewarding experience for both of us. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs of my own, and they make my life so much better. I’m always building cat walls and catios, new interactive toys for the dogs, and whatever else I can do to give them all the best lives they could possibly have. When working with my family’s business, it’s always been “customized pet care needs.” I plan to stick with that. I have no allergies. I’ve cared for all ages and sizes of cats, dogs, fish, birds, hamsters, and probably a few other species that aren’t coming to mind at the moment. I can walk, hike, run, feed, clean up after, and administer some medication to a vast majority of your pets. Let me know what you’re looking for, and as long as I can do it, I will!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
