About: I have been a lifelong dog owner and have previous paid experience caring for pets. Through both personal and professional experience, I understand that every pet has its own unique personality, routine, and needs. I have experience feeding, walking, playing with, and providing companionship to dogs, as well as ensuring they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and love while their owners are away. As a special education teacher, I am patient, responsible, dependable, and detail-oriented. I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, maintaining consistent routines, administering basic medications if needed, and keeping owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both pets and their families. My availability is flexible. During the school year, I am available before and after school, evenings, weekends, holidays, and for overnight pet sitting. I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible. Please feel free to reach out to discuss your pet care needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I understand that trusting someone with your furry family member is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I carefully follow each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I believe in creating a calm, loving, and stress-free environment where pets feel safe and cared for while you’re away. As a pet owner myself, I know the importance of regular communication, so I’ll provide updates and photos to give you peace of mind. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own.
“Lori's positive, calming energy instantly charmed the fear out of my skittish, shy rescue Teddy and soon he was melting into her like they were old dear pals. Grateful to have a resource like Lori for my pups in our new home state.”

“We felt perfectly comfortable leaving our home and our cat in Christina's care. He is a real challenge of a cat, Chris made sure he was cared for daily and kept us updated on his activities ?. Will book again!”

“Thank you Jacob for taking such good care of Tank. It’s the first time we’ve needed someone to care for tank while we were out so long. If I need the service again. I will absolutely book with you.”

About: Growing up I have always lived helping others and even helping animals. As a young kid, I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals. Although my college plan is to become a special education teacher, I have always had a passion for animals. I really enjoy giving animals a voice and creating special bonds with them. Over the years my family has rescued over 8 animals including dogs and cats. I have been dog sitting for 3 years now for family friends and I am willing to do it for anyone in need. Animals have always left an impact on my life and I hope I do the same to them. I am not doing this for the money but to help many animals in need, as well as their owners. I really hope I am able to give endless love to you pet or pets. Thank you.
“Siara was a wonderful sitter for our cat. She gave timely updates and shared cute photos. We did our meet and greet virtually as a video chat and she understood all of the directions, even the medications.”

“Zelle was tremendous! When we first met she put me at ease right away, so friendly and asking such good questions. She really wanted to understand our dogs differing needs. During our absence, she checked in at our agreed upon times and sent lovely pictures at each check-in. It was such a comfort to know my fur babies were cared for so lovingly. Will not hesitate to call on her again.”

“Absolutely thrilled with Sam’s services! She maintained contact with us providing updates and photos of all 3 of our pups. It was wonderful to have peace of mind knowing they were cared for.”

“Gina was great with Tedi! She took things slow so Tedi could warm up, gave her a nice walk, and made sure she was settled with dinner and water. I came home to a happy, relaxed pup—highly recommend!”

About: I'm a proud mama of a st bernard/poodle rescue. Her name is Dolce (dol-che). Love being with her and training her (trained her to ring a bell and that has been a life saver). Would love to walk your dog or drop in. I know the sad feeling of being away from your dog and making sure that they are more than ok when you are away. I would make sure that you are well informed with updates and make sure that your most loved dog is treated well, having a good walk and learn a few tricks with treats. I have learned training Dolce by myself and aware of the patience and satisfaction needed when dogs are obedient and are healthy because they are trained well.
“Morgan responded to my booking request promptly and was very communicative throughout the process and during my actual trip. She followed my instructions and did a great job with my two cats.”

About: I have shared my home and heart with pets my entire life. Animals are not just a job for me—they are family. I know how difficult it can be to leave your furry family members behind, and I am here to give you total peace of mind while you are away. I currently manage a diverse household of three wonderful dogs, which means I am highly adaptable to different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels: -Two Pomeranians (Ages 2 & 10): I understand the delicate nature, high energy, and specific grooming/care needs of small toy breeds, from playful puppies to sensitive seniors. -Chocolate Labrador (Age 7): I love large, active breeds and am fully capable of handling big dogs who need plenty of exercise, structure, and play. I spent many years loving and caring for two German Shepherds until it was their time to cross the rainbow bridge. Both of my Shepherds faced significant health issues later in life. Through that emotional and rewarding journey, I gained extensive, hands-on experience with: -Maintaining strict, time-sensitive medication schedules. -Managing complex veterinary treatment plans. -Providing gentle, compassionate care to senior dogs with mobility and health challenges. I offer a full range of flexible care options to fit your schedule: -Boarding & House Sitting: Your dog can vacation at my house or stay cozy in theirs. -Drop-In Visits & Dog Walking: Perfect for quick bathroom breaks, playtime, or burning off energy. -Fully Fenced Yard: My home features a secure, fenced-in yard where your dogs can safely run, fetch, and play to their heart's content. For years, I have been the go-to pet sitter and dog walker for my family, friends, and coworkers. I am reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to keeping your dog's exact routine intact. Whether your pup needs a high-energy walk, a strict medication routine, or just a lot of couch cuddles, I will treat them exactly like my own! I am a local Realtor with The Lee Ann Wilkinson Group at BHHS Penfed Realty, meaning my professional life requires some flexibility! I am completely open and available all day every Tuesday and Sunday. On other days, I often serve as our on-duty office agent or show properties to clients. However, I am always free after 5:00 PM for evening walks, drop-ins, or feedings! My real estate calendar is finalized weekly, so my Rover calendar is always kept strictly up-to-date. Please reach out and we can easily coordinate a schedule that works perfectly for your pet! In My Home (Boarding) Secure Fenced Yard: My home features a large, fully fenced yard where your pets can safely play, explore, and stretch their legs under direct supervision. Friendly Pack Environment: Your pet will blend right into my family, alongside my friendly Pomeranians and Chocolate Lab. I introduce all new pets slowly and safely. Realtor Schedule Safety: On days when I am showing homes or on duty at the office, dogs are safely separated into comfortable, designated spaces or crated (per your preference) to prevent any mischievous behavior while I am out. I also have a pet camera. In Your Home (House Sitting & Drop-Ins)Respect & Privacy: As a licensed Realtor, I handle property keys, lockboxes, and home security every single day. You can completely trust that your home will be treated with the utmost respect, locked securely, and left exactly as you left it. Cleanliness & Care: Litter boxes will be scooped daily, water bowls will always be fresh, and I will gladly bring in your mail. Medical & Senior Care ExperienceExpert Handling: Having managed complex health issues with my past German Shepherds and caring for my current 10-year-old Pomeranian, I am entirely comfortable administering oral medications, pills, and following strict veterinary wellness schedules.

“Martha was great. Very responsive and communicative throughout the process, and I came home to a very happy doggie! You can tell Martha really cares deeply about animals. I would not hesitate to ask her to look after my pup again.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
