“Heather was amazing! She watched Barley during our wedding weekend, and she sent us lots of photos and updates so we knew we didn’t have to worry about him during an important weekend.”

“Once again, Scout was taken in (on short notice!) and cared for. He comes home clean and happy and well-exercised. Erica and Christian's home is easy to get to, easy to park, and very clean and welcoming. Happy to have found our home away from home for Scout.”

“Victoria has such a beautiful home. She also is a very warm and kind person. Our dog instantly took to her. We scheduled a sleepover so our dog can get to know her and her dog better before our big trip in a few weeks. It was a great experience. We picked up our dog and she was just so happy. When we left our dog at a kennel before this she did not look well when we picked her up. This was a total different experience, she had a lot of fun and was well taken care of. Victoria was great at sending me updates and a video. I think my dog misses her and her dog lol!!! I'm definitely going to feel better when I leave her for a week knowing she's in good hands. Thank you Victoria”

“Morgan truly cares about animals. She was communicative, thorough and honest. She sent pictures and updates the entirety of our vacation. I would recommend her services to anyone.”

“I’m so glad we were able to find Amanda. She welcomed my Rottweiler as one of her own when we needed a last minute dog sitter. She communicated greatly the 4 days she had her by texting and sending me videos to ensure me that my big baby was enjoying herself. I definitely recommend her and will be using her for future vacations!!”

About: I have had poodles, labs, chows, eight Great Danes. I take care of of my nieces three dogs when she is out of town. During Christmas Hoilday the out of town guest just bring their dogs, 4 acre lot. Involuntarily retired, I spend my days piddling on projects around the house and working on excessively old cars. Dogs have always liked me and I have always liked dogs. Dogs get feed twice a day. I have an invisible fence system. Giving pills during meal time is not an issue. I do have creates. I generally do not give treats.
“We had such a wonderful experience with Kalyn! She was incredibly friendly, positive, and welcoming from the start. She asked thoughtful questions to get to know our dog and make sure she felt comfortable during her stay. We received plenty of updates, which gave us such peace of mind! She was also very flexible and accommodating with drop-off and pick-up times. Her joyful personality and genuine love for dogs really shine through. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 10/10 would absolutely recommend Kalyn and will definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always had a huge love for animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for many different breeds and sizes, from Chihuahuas to Dobermans and everything in between. I’m a passionate animal lover and advocate, and I’ve also fostered dogs through rescues. Fostering has given me a special place in my heart for fearful, shy, anxious, and misunderstood dogs. I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and comfort level, and I believe in giving them patience, kindness, and time to feel safe. As a registered nurse, I’m comfortable administering medications and following specific care instructions. I’m also comfortable with bathing and basic grooming needs. Most importantly, I genuinely love being around dogs. I want every dog in my care to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. 🐾❤️ I’m a registered nurse and work 12-hour shifts, typically 2 days per week and every other weekend. On my weekends off, I have 5 days off in a row, which is when I’m available for boarding. My availability is therefore every other week, making me a great fit for families looking for care during weekend getaways, short trips, or extended weekends. I provide a safe, loving, home-based environment where dogs can feel comfortable and cared for while their families are away. I have a large fenced-in yard for supervised outdoor time and play, and I keep the number of boarding dogs limited so each dog receives plenty of individual attention. As a registered nurse, I’m attentive to changes in behavior and comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering medications, and responding appropriately if an unexpected situation arises. I also have experience and knowledge in canine CPR and emergency first aid. I take the time to learn each dog’s personality, routine, feeding schedule, medications, and comfort level before their stay. I have a special soft spot for fearful and anxious dogs and believe patience and a calm environment are essential.
“Ashley is an excellent communicator! She clearly understands how anxious dogs behave, which made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dog in her care. She was patient and attentive, always moving at my dog’s pace and never rushing her. Would book again! :)”

“We’ve never used Rover before and were a little nervous. Thomas set up a meet and greet prior to our booking. He made both my family and my dogs extremely comfortable and put us all at ease. While we were away he sent us updates, photos and videos. He gave spent time and attention on them as if they were his own. Highly recommend Thomas and will definitely book with him for future travel.”

“Natalie did a great job in taking care of our pet. She was flexible and open from the beginning so it was easy to setup a visit time, pickup, and drop off. My puppy learned a lot from her and her two dogs during the stay, and she kept giving me updates. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and families and let my puppy stay there in the future :)”

“Our first time boarding our boy and couldn’t have gone better! She updated us daily and come to me with any questions not previously gone over. My pup was extremely happy and well taken care of.”

About: I had my first furry friend when I was 18 against my mom’s will and everyone knows how the story ends right?! Yes she was calling herself grandma after the first week. I’m married now and we have 2 kids, waffles and pancake, yes we love breakfast food. Playing and going for walks aside from giving them love is my skill, they are also here for one lifetime experience so they do deserve to get all the love that they give us. I am currently working full time but I have a lot of flexibility throughout the day, I’m mostly looking to help around the weekends or evening care after 5pm 7 days a week. We live in an apartment, our cat goes on walks once a day and I would be happy to care for your pet in your home as well.
About: I've been an animal lover my whole life and have always loved pet-sitting for others. Animals bring me so much joy, they truly are a blessing to us humans, so I'm always happy to help whenever I'm available. I’m also a professional dog groomer, so if your fur baby ever needs a bath or a haircut, I’m able to drive out to you or you could drop them off. SCHEDULE: Please ask and contact me about my schedule. :) My schedule varies and changes sometimes. But I do have lots of availability on some weeks. I'm naturally great with pets, but I'd do whatever you'd like me to do for your fur baby. I'd follow the rules and instructions given to me because I know that every animal will vary on the kind of care they need, specifically with their diet. *If your dog is aggressive, please don’t book with me. I really cannot risk getting attacked. Thank you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
