Miah did a great job taking care of our senior kitty, Miss Sophie. She was prompt, reliable, detail oriented, and readily asked questions which I appreciate. She took care of extras like getting our mail and washing up Sophie’s dishes. She spent time getting to know Sophie and Sophie sensed that she was a cat lover. Thank you Miah!

About: I’ve always loved animals and really enjoy caring for them. I actually fostered a puppy and ended up falling in love with her and adopting her myself! I’m patient, caring, and will make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while they’re with me. Currently graduated college a few months ago, so my schedule gives me plenty of time to care for your pets. I’m available throughout the week and can be flexible depending on your pet’s routine and needs. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and love while they’re with me. 🐾 I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, give them plenty of attention and playtime, and always make sure they have a clean, comfortable environment. I’ll treat your pet like my own. 🐾❤️

About: Hello my name is Candida (Candi). I have worked in and with Rescues and Humane Societies throughout the State of WI over the last 30 years. I currently have 4 dogs and live out in the country with lots of room to run. I am very familiar with different behavior issues as well as how to work with your pets to get through those issues. This experience comes from fostering many high risk animals over the years. Your pet will be treated the same in my home as he/ she is treated in your home. If they go on your furniture, they are welcome on mine, etc. I am always willing to go the extra mile, if your pet needs a bath or a nail clip, I am happy to do that. I have experience with training, CPR, Giving Meds both by mouth and shot. Some of my friends lovingly call me the crazy dog lady because of my deep love for dogs, they have feelings and emotions just as we do and I always take that into consideration when caring for them. Given the opportunity I will show you that you can trust me to care for your baby while you are away just as you care for them when you are home. I currently work part time at my own small business so my schedule is super flexible and can be easily worked around your needs. This gives me the flexibility to give your pet all the time and attention they need while in my care. I have four dogs that are the sweetest babies. They get along great with all animals as well as kids. I do not have a fenced yard as we live on 80 acres out in the country, but I do have a portable temporary fencing that can be put up for outside time. We have a large area in the lower level of our home for inside play time. As I said earlier, when your pet is in my home, they will be treated just as they are when they are with you. I know how important routine is to their little minds. If you feed at a certain time, I will follow that routine. I know mine have a very set routine, they surely know when dinner time is. :o)

About: I grew up with dogs and cats. I also did dog obedience and agility in 4-h. I love getting out to go for walks. I enjoy my time outdoors. I am open to any day of the week at any time. I often get my dog out three times a day for a walk. Depending on the day with my husband schedule, I would need to work around that. I have one dog that is very friendly and high energy at times. She likes to play a little rough and loves making new friends. I get her out 3-4 times a day. Rather that is for an hour long walk or even just going to the bathroom.

About: I’ve always grown up around animals, mostly rescues of all kind! I have experience in various ages of animals as well. Neighbors, family, and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and much more for their pets for years. I would love to help you and your fury friend out! Pet care fits naturally into my life! I work full time, and about 40% of the month I have the flexibility to work from anywhere — meaning I can be present and attentive when it matters most. I love using my time before and after work to care for animals — it’s something I genuinely look forward to. For me, it’s not just a service, it’s a chance to connect with each pet. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always their comfort, safety, and happiness. At my home in Spring Green, we offer plenty of space for animals to roam and explore — we live on over an acre with a portion of our yard fenced in and a screened-in porch, so pets have secure, fresh-air access no matter the weather. The space and security truly make the opportunities for pets endless! When visiting a client’s home, I follow your pet’s existing routine closely, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable in their own environment with minimal disruption.

About: Hi! My name is Lensy, and I’m excited about the opportunity to care for your pet. I can’t wait to take your furry friend out for walks, keep them entertained, and meet their unique needs. I’m here to make both you and your pet feel comfortable! I’m flexible, understanding, and passionate about keeping pets happy and active. I look forward to meeting your little companion! My weekends are currently free, so I’m happy to arrange care for your pets during that time as well. Please feel free to reach out to discuss how I can best accommodate your needs! When caring for pets in my home or in my client's home, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment tailored to each pet's needs. In my client's home, I want to be sure to know their routines. I focus on providing a stress-free experience, ensuring your pet feels comfortable and cared for in familiar surroundings. At home, I have a pet of my own, a mini golden doodle named Coco, who has taught me a lot about pet care and the importance of personalized attention. I ensure a calm, pet-friendly space where all animals can relax and feel at ease. I also maintain consistency in feeding times, play sessions, and any special care routines. I always ensure their safety and well-being is my top priority, no matter the setting.

About: I am 37 and have worked professionally with dogs for 10 years during my 20s. I began working in a boarding and daycare facility when I was 18. Since that time I have worked for other kennels as I have moved. I received my training certification in 2010 from Animal Behavior College and volunteered extensively at a shelter in Kansas City. I have volunteered with numerous rescue groups providing training and foster homes along with many boarding facilities. I love pet sitting and getting the opportunity to make a animals happy while their parents are away- all the rewards of being the fun aunt :) Experience with pets who have medications/diabetes/special needs. HOUSE SITTING: I work from home, with appointments throughout the day so your pets won't be left alone for long. I am flexible fitting into your pets routines, watering plants, and any other up-keeps that need done while you are away. A majority of the time I work from home while having occasional appointments out of the home. This gives me plenty of flexibility to ensure that your pet gets 1:1 time and gets outside when needed. I like to follow my clients routines so their pet can predict as much as possible. My experience has given me a little bit of the super power to predict the future, which leads to me to taking extra safety steps “just in case”

About: I have a background in both education and dog training, so I focus heavily on structure, communication, and understanding each dog’s individual needs. I have experience working with dogs of all ages, energy levels, and personalities, including puppies, high-energy breeds, and dogs that benefit from extra patience or routine. I’m CPR certified, experienced with enrichment-based care, and comfortable reinforcing basic training skills such as leash manners, recall, sit/down, place, and calm behavior during visits and walks. I also have experience with hunting and working breeds, so I understand the importance of both physical exercise and mental stimulation. What sets me apart most is that I genuinely enjoy building trust and relationships with the dogs I care for. I prioritize safety, consistency, and making sure each dog feels comfortable, engaged, and well cared for while you’re away. I also provide reliable communication and updates so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands. I intentionally keep openings in my schedule for walks, drop-in visits, boarding, and individualized care. I currently have availability most mornings, a few evenings, and select weekends which allows me to provide consistent attention and flexible scheduling for clients. Because I prioritize quality care and reliability, I carefully manage my schedule to make sure each pet receives plenty of time, attention, exercise, and communication while in my care. believe every dog is different, so I focus heavily on each pet’s individual needs, personality, comfort level, and routine. Some dogs need lots of exercise and enrichment, while others need a calmer environment, patience, or extra reassurance while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home or my own, I take time to learn their feeding schedule, potty routine, energy level, favorite activities, training expectations, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and secure. I adjust my care style based on the individual dog rather than taking a “one size fits all” approach. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, understood, and cared for while maintaining as much consistency and routine as possible.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Lone Rock stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lone Rock. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
