“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. “Sammy is the only person I trust with my two dogs! I was worried about finding someone to watch them because my youngest dog isn’t neutered yet. Sammy was great with communication and held a meet and greet with her dog, Coy, and her sister’s dog, Nova. It was clear that she understands dogs and has a ton of knowledge. Not only that, but she’s so sweet! It’s good to know that somebody’s taking care of them as if they’re their own dog. Tank and Teddy are both labrador retrievers and Tank is about 90 pounds while Teddy is 70 and not full grown. I have used her for boarding now probably three times and have at least two more times planned before this year is up. I can go on vacation or take an emergency trip without having to worry about my dogs. With Sammy, I know they are getting the best care possible. She also sends adorable little updates with a ton of photos so I’m never worried about them and I can see that they’re having so much fun. The last time we drop them off, the dogs ran right into her house and didn’t even turn back so it’s safe to say they’re also so happy to be there. We’ve taken to calling their stays with Sammy “Camp Coy” after her dog Coy who is their best friend.”

About: My Lab pups were immediately potty trained at 8 weeks by my carrying them outside upon awakening. All are kind and gentle loving animals that wear smiles on their faces. Very happy. I am retired and flexible. I live at The House on the Rock and love the outdoors, walking the trails and golf. I am also an early riser. I live in a very pet friendly community with our current Lab, Finnegan and Buster the cat. Finnegan is 2 and loves to play with other dogs as well as Buster.

Sammy was great with communication and held a meet and greet with her dog, Coy, and her sister’s dog, Nova. It was clear that she understands dogs and has a ton of knowledge. Not only that, but she’s so sweet! It’s good to know that somebody’s taking care of them as if they’re their own dog. Tank and Teddy are both labrador retrievers and Tank is about 90 pounds while Teddy is 70 and not full grown. I have used her for boarding now probably three times and have at least two more times planned before this year is up. I can go on vacation or take an emergency trip without having to worry about my dogs. With Sammy, I know they are getting the best care possible. She also sends adorable little updates with a ton of photos so I’m never worried about them and I can see that they’re having so much fun. The last time we drop them off, the dogs ran right into her house and didn’t even turn back so it’s safe to say they’re also so happy to be there. We’ve taken to calling their stays with Sammy “Camp Coy” after her dog Coy who is their best friend.”
“Carlie stayed with our two dogs and cat for 8 nights while we were on vacation. She was very communicative and sent us lots of updates and pictures during her stay. Our pups are bigger and active so it can be hard to find someone who is both willing and able to make sure they get the exercise and mental stimulation they need. We are so thankful we found Carlie!!”
About: I’ve been taking care of cats, dogs, farm animals (chickens, goats), fish, and exotic animals since I was 18. There’s no animal too big or too small! I’ve provided both day and night care, and handled meals, walks, potty breaks, medications, and cleaning. Hello!! I am a soon to be stay-at-home momma who will have lots of available time to watch/play with/or walk your furry friends! I currently have a dog and a cat of my own but they are very friendly and loving with all animals big or small. I would love to board your animals in my home! But, they must be friendly with both dogs and cats as I have one of each who are very sweet and get along with everyone! All supplies will need to be dropped off with your furry friend as well as I don’t have extra kennels (if your pup uses one) or extra supplies.
