About: Hello my name is Ashly. I am an animal lover that has completed several vet tech classes at yuba college. I own one dog, a pig, and a few chickens. I would love the opportunity to care for your furry family members. I am a mom of two. I can help out 7 days a week. MUST provide dog food for your pet for each stay unless you plan to hand me cash to go to the store to grab food for the duration of your pet's stay. My fence is a secure 6 feet high chain link fence. I am willing to check in on your furry family members, unable to stay at your home, however I am able to stop by every 1-4 hours depending on distance.

About: People often say I have a way with animals. They always seem drawn to me immediately, even when they are wary of others. I feel honored that animals feel this way about me because I feel the same about them! I have cared for many dogs of all sizes as well as owned cats. I have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand that has many disabled dogs as well as fostered cats/kittens here at home. I am an empty nester and would love to care for your four legged family members while you are away. Although I will never replace you, I can provide love and safety until you return (and probably some treats and adventures too!) I'm currently not working and can dedicate my time to pet/house sitting and care. As you can see from my photo gallery, I love all animals and have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand, fostered kittens at home, and have seen very cool animals in the wild and at animal rescues/sanctuaries around the world. (I always vet them to make sure they are ethical and doing legit work) I have a large fenced yard and indoor space for cats or dogs. We have plenty of shade and are also willing to take pets with us on outings. I live with my husband and son and they also love and respect animals. As far as caring for pets at someone else's home, I can stay at your house or check in as often as needed. I will play with them, feed them, bathe them, take them places (if requested) and give them love. I know they miss their people and its not the same without you, but I do my best to make them feel safe and comfortable.

About: I grew up here in Northern California with many different loyal pet dogs. After high school I joined the Army and got out of active duty in 2017. Long story short I moved to Alaska with my pet dog from Yuba City where I learned to be a dog musher and she learned to be sled dog. I’ve worked for various different high level sled dog kennels, thousands of different dogs, thousands of hours with dogs, thousands of miles with dogs, and even spent a year working at an Athletic & Longevity Canine Research Facility under the mentorship of some of best veterinarians and scientists. My knowledge and experience in general canine medical care, psychology, and training is advanced. I currently work from home & have a flexible schedule. I open to the special needs & care of your beloved pet from all ages. Each pet is individually unique when it comes to specific pet care, so I will work diligently with owners to best understand their pet. I have 1 spayed female 8 y/o Shepherd/Husky mix who is well tempered, a lead sled dog, well socialized to keep your pet company(friendly with both dogs & cats). I have a dog door that leads to a fenced in backyard. Regularly scheduled feeding, walks, & bathroom breaks.

About: Animals have always held a special place in my heart as I have had several dogs since I was born that were all well loved. I offer loving, reliable care with plenty of play, cuddles, and attention to your pet’s needs. Whether it’s a walk, a weekend stay, or just some company while you're away, I treat every animal like my own. I currently have a lot of availability as I am not in school, but without a job. Thursdays I dont have any method of transportation other than walking or biking so I will only accept walking distance jobs on those days. I'm available any time between 10am and 7pm for non-overnight jobs. When caring for someones fur baby, I make sure to follow the owner's instructions carefully, keeping the pet’s routine consistent. I provide fresh food and water, ensure plenty of playtime, walks, or cuddles depending on their needs, and keep their environment clean and safe. I also send regular updates and photos to reassure the owner. Most importantly, I treat their pet as if they were my own, giving them love, patience, and attention throughout my stay.

“This was my first time using Rover and I was so happy with my choice of Gretchen as my pet sitter. She did drop-in visits for 6 days with my kitties and was great with communication about the visits and sending pictures. She gave them fresh food and water and a little play time/snuggle time, and did the litter scooping/changing. She also brought in the mail and watered the plants for me. She was also very easy to communicate with in advance of the sitting. My kitties were happy to see me when I got back, but did not seem at all stressed from the experience. I am great at following any specific instructions and can also walk your dog throughout the day down our dead end road. About: I have taken care of animals since I was 4. I have also worked at an animal hospital in the Bay Area. I have had animals of all shapes and sizes and love them all. I’m currently working from home and have all the time and attention for your pet. I’m always home besides doctors appointments so they can go out whenever they need to. I have a fenced in yard and I have a 7 year old friendly pit bull and a 1 year old cat. I have a little trail around my neighborhood that’s a little over a mile which is great for walks.
