“Sam takes grwat care of our dogs. She is great and communicating and completely reliable. Our three poodles just adore Sam. Leaving our dogs would be much more challenging if we had not found Sam to help us out.”

About: I started working with animals in a vet clinic at the age of 16. Since then I’ve worked with a variety of animals in different clinical settings. I am currently studying to become a veterinarian and love caring for animals. I have provided care for animals of all ages and would love to provide the reassurance you need while you are away from your pet! I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to check in on your kitties!! I am available on the weekends and weekdays after 12pm! I have an extra room perfectly curated for kitties!! This will keep your kitty separate and safe and in their own environment to relax while you are away!
“I was supposed to have a friend feed my pets while I was out of town. When something came up and my friend could no longer help me, she accepted my short notice request and came over that same day to help me out! She spent pictures and updates and was super understanding about my worries with my cat’s recent health issues. Thank you Cynthia!”

About: My son and I love dogs and I enjoy caring for our furry friends while trying to make ends meet. We hope to find some clients to build long term relationships with. We have been taking care of dogs for the last few years and have been grateful for repeat visits. We would love the opportunity to care for your pet when needed. We enjoy discovering their unique personalities and offering new experiences to them on occasion. We have watched both puppies and older adult dogs. We have raised a puppy to adult, and cared for new born puppies. We live in the River Heights/Logan area but could possibly do other locations as well. Please reach out to us if you think we would be a good fit for your family! I work Monday through Friday but only about 2 minutes away. I prefer to be at home with the dogs but after they visit a few times I may be able to have them visit during the week or get permission to work from home on occasion. I am currently working nearby 8-430 so I'm most available on the weekends. My son is also available sometimes during the week. When I return home I usually spend quality time playing, walking and cuddling with my dog and or others, I have a large fenced yard, doggy door, and access in the home. I can crate my dog or your dog as needed. I am flexible and work to make sure the environment is safe and watch the dogs as they explore to identify possible issues as dogs aren't always predictable, just like many of their humans.

“Not many pet sitters on Rover know how to take care of cats. I'm glad I found Amanda & Cody. Both were super responsive and friendly, and shared pictures with us after every check-in. They took great care of Nyx & Ozzy. We came home to well fed, hydrated, happy kitties. Their litter box was also clean. I would definitely book them again, and recommend them to other cat parents.”

“Thank you Izzy for taking care of Judge while I was out of town and being so flexible with dates / times with his care!! Izzy is a very sweet and genuine person who did amazing with Judge.”

About: Animals have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and are my biggest special interest. I grew up taking care of a multitude of different pets including cats, dogs, and birds…I love them all! I make sure to stay up to date with new pet care and training ideas. I believe in using positive reinforcement to build strong and healthy relationships with our pets and have taken courses in dog body language and have familiarized myself with Canine and Feline CPR and heimlich maneuver. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! I generally work in shifts of 4-5 hours so the longest your pet will ever need to be left by themselves is 5 1/2 hours My husband is a student and the university and can also help take care of pets if needed/wanted. I have a friendly 2 year old golden retriever who would love to keep your dog company if wanted otherwise I’m happy to visit your dog by myself. I can crate train or let your dog free roam, whichever you are most comfortable with

About: I started volunteering at my local animal shelter as a teenager where I helped get a dog named Boo adopted. I have found such value and fulfillment in providing the best possible care to pets and animals in need within my community. Some of the animal care fields I have worked in are: Dog and cat boarding / daycare Doggy daycare hikes Positive reinforcement-based dog training and puppy training/socialization Veterinary assisting In-home pet sitting including dogs/cats with medical need, and reptile/bird care. I believe that our pets bring such happiness and quality to our lives and that they deserve just as much happiness. I take pride in providing care to others' pets like they're my own. We are their whole life, so we might as well do everything we can to ensure they are well taken care of. -Shayla, animal welfare advocate and wildlife ecology student With love from Malibu the Catahoula Leopard Dog I am a student at USU, so I have time outside of classes and taking my boy Malibu out on adventures to care for your fur babies on weekday mornings, lunch, and afternoon breaks. I provide attention to your pet based off their individual needs and temperament and have years of experience monitoring body language. I have been certified in pet CPR and use a harness when needed to ensure safety on walks. I also provide picture updates.
“Andree was great. Very punctual, and managed an ol' grinchy dog that takes a little time to warm up to new folks. Misty seemed very happy with her visits, the pictures and videos were cute and comforting. Definitely highly recommend.”

About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life, including one massive great dane along with a fair share of puppies and a few exotic animals. I am fully capable of tending to a senior dog as i’ve personally owned and cared for multiple senior dogs with high medical needs. I completed the utah certification for veterinary assisting and have basic pet first aid knowledge as well as an ability to administer medication to pets. I have a passion for animals and love to see them well cared for. I’m currently a student at utah state university so doing drop in visits or staying overnight works best with my schedule. I tend to have 1-2 hour classes with availability outside of that. I have one to two classes Monday Wednesday Friday giving me the afternoon and evenings free. I am totally available on both Saturday and Sunday. I will ensure to clean up any mess that may happen, water plants and make sure your animal is comfortable and safe in your home. I am open to doing simple chores if needed around the house as well. I will follow any instructions you have for your pets daily schedule.
“Julie did a wonderful job with our little fur babies! She gave us feedback and pictures daily, and that helped a lot with us feeling bad about leaving them for a week. The litter boxes were clean around them, and inside, and a clean litter box is very important to me. I almost think the cats were a little disappointed when it was us that came through the door instead of Julie. We will definitely request Julie again in the future.”

About: Leaving your pet in someone else’s care can be a stressful experience. My goal is to keep you both anxiety-free during your time apart, while providing a cozy and safe environment for your pup. I grew up with dogs all my life and have one adorable girl in my home currently. Since childhood I have also found joy in taking care of friends’ and relatives’ dogs. Pets have always been a genuine part of my family, and I’ll be sure treat your fur kids like my own while they are with me. In the summertime I can be home all day and night to keep your pet company. The occasional errand might take me away from your long-term boarding pup unless we’ve prearranged that he/she needs constant care. Dogs are free to roam my house and get lots cuddles and treats throughout the day. I would prefer that new boarding clients be either crate trained or fully housebroken/past the chewing phase of puppyhood. This will help prevent accidents and keep your dog safe at night when unsupervised! I have a very comfy 30” kennel available or you’re welcome to bring your own.
About: I've dedicated my life to caring for various beings, whether they're furry or human. From working with fosters from Rescue Rovers to raising my own pup, Gwenny, from a tiny furball, I've immersed myself in creating a safe, playful, and loving environment. With extensive experience in dog sitting, house-dog sitting, and caring for even huge dogs and high energy levels, I've consistently earned stellar reviews. My passion extends beyond pet care; I aspire to become a service animal trainer and am actively self-educating until I can pursue formal education. Your dog's well-being is my top priority, and I'll go above and beyond to provide them with the best treatment possible. Rest assured, your furry friend(s) will be loved and cared for just like they are a part of my own family. Im currently working part time and attending online school full time. Other than that, I have a few responsibilities I need to attend to (chores, family care, etc.) just like everyone else. No matter what I have planned, your pet will be the highlight! Unfortunately, since I moved, I can no longer pet sit or board at my home. However, I still have plenty of toys, treats, and tools to ensure your friend has a good time no matter where we are. I love a good game of tug-a-war or fetch! I will also play games and practice tricks. If they have a special diet they must stick to, please let me know.
About: My family had a dog from the time I was a baby; my parents made sure I not only helped by playing with him, but walking, feeding, and grooming him, too. Later we had a cat and another dog. The cat was mine, so litterbox duty was always on me. So I have years of experience living with and taking care of cats and dogs, and I would LOVE the opportunity to show your fur baby some good old fashioned TLC! I do gig work for a living, so my schedule is super flexible, especially if you give me prior notice! I do not work on Sundays and Thursdays, unless it's an extended-stay situation. I can come to your home, where your fur baby is the most comfortable, and make sure they have the company, attention, and care they need when you're gone.
“Jared took excellent care of our dog, fish, and house while we were away! He went above and beyond when the wind took some branches down and made sure our pets had a clean home and yard to enjoy while we were on vacation! Thank you Jared! 🐶🐾”

Jessica always takes such great care of our boys! She was great with administering medications and following food/litter/play instructions. I can tell the cats feel relaxed around her from the photos, and she is always communicative. Great sitter to ease anxiety on any trips away!

We absolutely LOVE Julie as our preferred cat person. She was able to give our special needs cat her meds every night with ease and clean our cat boxes. Extremely dependable, kind and responsive. We've used her twice and would recommend her to anyone. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic people. I needed a last minute dogs sitter and Bree and Calvin responded within an hour of me leaving my request. Our poor dog got sick during the visit and made a mess in his kennel and they were so good to clean not only the kennel but the carpet also. 10/10
I was supposed to have a friend feed my pets while I was out of town. Sierra did a wonderful job looking after my cats! She always arrived right on time for her visits and kept me updated with plenty of great pictures, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. She took excellent care of everything and left my cats happy and content. I highly recommend her services!
Our experience with Eva was outstanding. She cared for our Yorkie, Copper, over four days, providing excellent care and attention to detail. Eva's communication was superb, with regular photo updates and texts that kept us fully informed throughout. She followed Copper's feeding and outdoor routines meticulously, which helped build trust between them. Within a couple of days, Copper felt at ease enough to sit with Eva on the couch, showcasing the bond they formed. Given Copper's unique personality, which demands trust on his terms, Eva's ability to win him over speaks volumes about her capabilities. We strongly recommend Eva for her services and anticipate booking her again when we go on vacation! Thank you, Eva!

I can’t thank Brenna enough for her help. I had a last-minute family emergency and she stepped up immediately to care for my dog and two cats. She was incredibly reliable and professional throughout the entire stay. It’s a huge relief to find someone you can trust with multiple pets on such short notice. Everything went smoothly, and I will definitely be booking her again!

Jesi was so easy to communicate with and was so energetic! She made it so easy to work with. When you’re asking for someone to help with your furry friend you want to make sure you’re putting them into the right hands and I felt so at ease and confident when working with Jesi!

Marley was absolutely awesome with our pups. She was very easy to work with and our pups could not be happier with her watching them. I would definitely recommend Marley to anyone looking for a great fun loving dog sitter. Thank you again Marley and look forward to booking you again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
