“Sabrina is an excellent choice for pet care you may need. She was very patient with my dog who has slight stranger danger, was communicative and trust worthy. Definitely recommend Sabrina!”

“Kelsey is amazing and always takes such great care of our fuzz boys! We really feel like we have nothing to worry about when we’re traveling thanks to her! Would highly recommend her!”

“We absolutely recommend Samantha to anyone looking for help with their pet , she is a wonderful, caring, professional and kind person who adores animals!!! We were so thrilled with her services, and will definitely use her again. She came to our house for several weeks, doing drop-in visits with our dog when I was out of town working remote. I received a over Report Card everytime, detailing all the care and the fun that they had together. She also sent multiple pictures everytime as well. Millie looked forward to Samantha's visits and they became fast best friends. They played fetch, went on walks, had potty breaks and food breaks and lots of cuddling! Thank you Samantha:)”

“Belle was amazing. Went above and beyond to care for our kitties. Sent us detailed notes and many pictures daily. It made being away from our cats a little easier. Everyone was very happy all week. Highly recommend and we will be working with her again for sure!”

“Rachel took such great care of my Loki and my apartment while I was gone. She was so wonderful with him and being able to inject him with the insulin daily. So thankful for her help!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 17 years and have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and care for their pets as if they were my own. I’m attentive to routines, leash safety, and each dog’s individual needs — whether that means a long, energetic walk or a slower, more relaxed pace. I’m especially patient with dogs who are nervous, shy, or need a calm presence, and I always prioritize safety, comfort, and positive experiences. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I’ve set aside dedicated time for dog walks! I’m flexible with weekday walks and happy to accommodate regular weekly schedules as well as occasional walks when needed. I focus on being punctual, reliable, and consistent so your dog can count on a familiar routine🐾 Your dog’s safety is always my top priority! I follow leash safety at all times, pay close attention to body language, and tailor each walk to your dog’s comfort and energy level. I’m careful with weather conditions, traffic, and surroundings, and I treat every dog and home with respect. I’ll always follow your instructions and provide thoughtful updates after each walk!
“Shantel kindly helped me out in an emergency situation on a holiday weekend. She sent photos to put my mind at ease, and was communicative and compassionate with my situation. I’ll gladly rebook Shantel anytime for caring for my fur babies, for the peace of mind and the exceptional care she offers.”

About: I have taken care of animals for family and friends for a few years now and want to expanded into caring into looking after the pets if other family’s that want to travel but unfortunately cannot bring their animals with them. I currently work in a restaurant as a line cook and have 5-8 hour days starting as early as 2pm and ending as late as 10pm so I am able to mostly do morning care and late night care but I can adjust my schedule as needed for emergency’s. I am able to adapt to any type of care needed including daily training or cleanup if needed and love to take my own dogs on walks and just relax with them when they are tired.

About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, with long-term dog sitting experience on Cape Cod, MA and in Northeast Ohio. I’m also a devoted pug parent myself, so I understand firsthand the importance of routines, comfort, and the little quirks that make each dog unique. My partner and I recently relocated to the Buffalo area for his new job, and I’m excited to establish new client relationships and meet fellow dog lovers in the community. Dog sitting is my second job, and I work full-time—entirely remotely—for an Executive Search firm. This allows me to maintain a very flexible schedule and be home throughout the day. At this time, my preference is for house sitting in your home, where I can help keep your dog’s routine consistent in a familiar environment. Because I work remotely, I’m able to provide all-day, round-the-clock companionship while I work, with plenty of breaks for walks, playtime, feeding, and snuggles (with the occasional quick visit to check on my own puggies, of course!). I treat every dog as if they were my own and prioritize safety, comfort, and attentive care. I look forward to meeting you and your pup soon! I work full-time and entirely remotely for an Executive Search firm, and dog sitting has been my second job for as long as I can remember. I’ve found that remote work and dog sitting complement each other perfectly, allowing me to provide steady, round-the-clock companionship rather than just a few drop-in visits each day. I prefer to house sit and stay in your home, essentially moving in and working remotely while keeping your dog company and maintaining their normal routine. This approach is especially helpful for dogs with separation anxiety or those who need more frequent potty breaks. While I generally keep a typical 9–5 schedule, my workday is flexible, and I can take breaks as needed. I do have occasional meetings during the day and, depending on proximity, may step out briefly to check on my own dogs—but your pet’s care, comfort, and safety are always my top priority. I believe the best care comes from keeping your dog’s routine as close to yours as possible, all in the comfort of their own home. I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet before a sit so I can get to know you and your dog, learn their daily routine, and familiarize myself with the home and surrounding area. I always recommend sharing a simple “guide” or list of your dog’s schedule—feeding, potty breaks, medication, walks, playtime, and any special preferences. I’ve cared for dogs with all types of personalities, and understanding their quirks and behavioral patterns helps ensure a smooth, stress-free experience. For example, I like to know how they do on walks, whether they’re an escape artist or more of a Velcro pup, and how they react around other dogs. When it comes to walks, I’m comfortable walking two small dogs at the same time, and since it’s just me, I prefer one larger dog at a time. In addition to pet care, I’m also happy to help with light house-sitting tasks while you’re away, such as watering plants, bringing in mail and packages, and keeping an eye on the home. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible, knowing both your dog and your home are being well cared for.
About: My lifelong hands-on experience and genuine love for dogs. I’ve been caring for my own dogs since I was 10 years old, which has taught me responsibility, patience, and how to understand different dog personalities and needs. I’m comfortable working with puppies and reinforcing basic training like leash manners, crate routines, and positive behavior habits. I’m also attentive and gentle with senior dogs, making sure they move at their own pace, stay comfortable, and get any extra care or patience they may need. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, even as a full-time student. I’m organized with my schedule and intentionally leave open time between classes and in the afternoons to walk and care for dogs. Being active and spending time outdoors is already part of my routine, so dog walking blends perfectly into my day. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I genuinely enjoy making time for. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow all instructions carefully — including feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, and any special care needs. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while also respecting the home and keeping everything clean and organized.

Melissa was a great pet sitter for us! She was very prompt & accommodating to our schedule for drop in visits. Our pets really took to her, as I can tell from the daily pictures that she sent. Our pets were very well taken care of. I would highly recommend Melissa, and plan to book with her in the future. Communication was great, and I felt 100% comfortable with my pets in her care!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
