About: I have been taking care of dogs since I could read. We love both cats and dogs in our household. I know all the basics of taking care of an animal, plus I love to play with dogs and give them attention! I am a college student at Texas State University. I offer drop in visits for both cats & dogs in my hometown (Llano, TX Area) & college town (San Marcos, TX Area). I can work around my school & work schedule for the most part. I am able to do pretty much anything relating to cats and dogs. I can feed, clean up, bathe/groom, take out to potty, water, play, and/or walk your animals!

In addition, she was flexible when we needed to add another check in last minute as well as make a time change for the walk. I would recommend her and plan on using her again.”

That’s always a relief for me. My 3 dogs are so happy to see him. He has been watching them for 4 years now!! Thank you!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats of every age and need since I was 10 — from rowdy puppies and playful kittens to senior pets with special requirements. I’m comfortable administering oral and topical medications, tracking dosage schedules, and watching for changes in appetite, mobility, or behavior. With senior pets, I focus on gentle routines, extra rest, and close attention to comfort. With younger pets, I prioritize safe socialization, play, and structure so they get the interaction and exercise they need. I offer boarding and house sitting, so pets stay in a comfortable, familiar routine whether they’re in my care or their own home. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to feed, medicate, and care for their pets like my own. I’m currently working part-time from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to give your pets real attention, not just a quick check-in. Here’s what a typical visit or stay looks like: • Available for boarding on weekends and weekdays after 2pm • Flexible daytime drop-ins for medication schedules and older pets who need consistency • Extra playtime and outdoor walks built into every visit, not rushed • Happy to adjust timing around your pet’s normal routine so nothing feels disrupted I treat every pet like my own, with a strong focus on both physical safety and mental enrichment. Here’s what you can expect: • Fenced yard and two friendly, dog-savvy dogs to keep your pet company • Daily outdoor time for fresh air, sniffing, and exercise — not just a backyard bathroom break • Enrichment activities like puzzle feeders, treat-scattering, and interactive play to keep their mind engaged • Comfortable crating available if that’s part of your pet’s routine • Careful medication administration and monitoring for any dogs or cats with health needs • A calm, decorated, pet-friendly space that feels like home, not a kennel

About: I have personally had pets since the day I was born, mostly dogs and cats, but also a snake and hamster, I started pet sitting when I was 14 and have experience with caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, and horses. I know that your pet is a part of the family with a routine, personality, and individual needs so I am very conscientious about owner advice and instructions when it comes to their fur (or not so furry) baby. I love spending time with animals and where I live I can not unfortunately have dogs (I do have two cats though) so I feel the Oppertunity to walk dogs and do check ins on animals would be a fantastic way to get to spend time around them again. I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of availability throughout the day and week to give your pets the time, care, and attention they deserve. Depending on the energy and type of animal as well as owner instructions I adjust my care schedule to thier needs. I either do drop in visits to a clients home or house sit in their home.

Finding someone you trust with your pets can feel stressful, and my goal is to make that process easier by providing safe, reliable, knowledgeable, and compassionate care while you’re away. I’m a Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) with over 10 years of hands-on animal care experience, including veterinary technician-level experience and skills. I have been pet sitting since I was a teenager, giving me years of experience caring for pets in their own homes, following detailed instructions, and maintaining their individual routines while their families are away. Throughout my experience, I’ve cared for pets of different ages, personalities, and medical needs—from playful puppies and energetic dogs to senior, anxious, recovering, and special-needs pets requiring additional attention. My veterinary background and technician-level experience include: • Oral and injectable medication administration • Subcutaneous fluid administration • Diabetic and special-needs care • Senior pet care • Post-surgical and recovery care • Monitoring changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, and overall health • Caring for pets with anxiety or specialized routines • Following detailed medical and household care instructions • Fear-free handling techniques and low-stress approaches 🐾 Experienced With Nervous, Senior & Special Needs Pets 🐾 Every pet has their own personality, and I believe the best care starts with understanding and respecting that. I especially enjoy working with pets who may need a little extra time, patience, or specialized attention. Whether your pet is shy, nervous, anxious, elderly, recovering, or has unique medical or behavioral needs, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I focus on building trust, maintaining their normal routine, creating a calm environment, and helping them feel safe and cared for while you’re away. 🐾 What You Can Expect From Me 🐾 • Regular updates and photos • Careful attention to your instructions and routines • Patient, compassionate, and individualized care • Enrichment, companionship, and plenty of attention • Knowledgeable care backed by hands-on veterinary experience • Someone who treats your pets like family 🐾 Additional Services I Offer 🐾 • Nail trims • Baths and basic grooming • Ear cleaning • Litter box care • Medication assistance • Poop scooping • Additional care needs upon request I’m also comfortable caring for a variety of animals, including unique pets, exotics, and large animals. With my Certified Veterinary Assistant background, technician-level experience, years of pet-sitting experience, and genuine love for animals, I’m able to provide both knowledgeable and loving care. Pet care is currently my primary work, and it is something I truly love. Thank you for considering me to care for your beloved pets! 🐾❤️ Pet care is currently my primary work, and it is something I truly love doing. I’m dedicated to making sure your pets receive the time, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away. I understand that every pet has their own routine, personality, and comfort level. Whether your pet thrives on a structured schedule or prefers a more relaxed routine, I’m happy to adapt to their needs and keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your fur baby is safe, happy, loved, and receiving the same care and attention I would want for my own pets. I currently provide care in your home because I believe pets are often happiest and most comfortable in their own familiar environment. Staying home helps reduce stress and allows them to maintain their normal routines, especially for pets who are shy, anxious, senior, or have special needs. Your pets’ safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully review each booking and care plan to make sure I can safely and appropriately meet their needs. I will always follow your care and safety instructions carefully and will never leave pets unattended outdoors. While caring for your pets, I love keeping them happy and engaged with activities appropriate for their personalities and abilities. This may include neighborhood walks, fetch, favorite toys, enrichment activities, lick mats, puzzle toys, training refreshers, or simply spending quality time together. If I need to step away for errands or other responsibilities, I will make sure your pets’ needs and agreed-upon schedule are taken care of. As a Certified Veterinary Assistant with technician-level experience and a fellow pet parent, I understand how much trust goes into allowing someone to care for your animals and enter your home. I treat your home with respect and your pets with patience, compassion, and love. My goal is for you to feel comfortable knowing they are in knowledgeable and caring hands while you’re away. 🐾

About: My family has had animals my whole life. Besides being the sibling most responsible for the animals (both dogs and cats), I also would walk and sit for my neighbors dogs as well. Now that I’m an adult, I still have and care for my own animals and would love to help you with yours when you need an extra hand. I work days during the week and have weekends free to help with your animals when you’re out of town. I can also do some evenings if you’re planning a date night or out of town for work. I have two dogs and two cats. Rather than shock your pet at my home, I’d prefer to come to you and care for them as you see fit. I can walk, play, and feed them.

About: DOGS WITHOUT LOVE ARE LIKE HUMANS WITHOUT PURPOSE! I absolutely love dogs. I have a thirteen year old miniature Australian Shepard who thinks he is my third child and is treated as such. I am 47 years old and have a rewarding career in plastic/reconstructive surgery, but also realize that caring for fur babies is yet another true passion in which I truly enjoy! Fur babies need lots of love and attention as well as activity through play dates, park time, hiking, walking swimming etc. Additional Services Include: Groomer drop off and pick up, vet visit transportation and attendance, medication administration and bathing are also offered. I am also available for meet and greets preceding scheduled services. I am available on nights, weekends and holidays. I DO NOT board more than one family’s dogs at a time. Therefore, you do not have to worry about safety. It is in the best interest of your fur baby to not be exposed to others in which could result in physical injury and or harm and or contagious illnesses. Rest assured, your fur babies are completely safe with me. Pictures and reports of your fur babies are sent to you on a daily basis! Fur babies should feel loved and cared for in the absence of their owners much like a doggie vaca! An experienced pet sitter that you can get to know, trust and feel comfortable with whom is much like family is a necessity! I work in the medical field and have the ability to adjust my flexible schedule to accommodate my pet clients needs and or requests on a client to client basis. At the present time-I am not offering boarding services in my home. I believe pets feel more comfortable and at ease in their own homes where they are familiar with their surroundings and specific care instructions will vary per client request which is discussed during our meet and greet session.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Llano

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
