“Alexandria takes great care of my two boys! She’s very punctual and communicative and sends tons of pictures. She visits daily for midday check ins while I’m at work. I can tell she’s spending good, quality time with my dogs, because they are still tired when I get home at the end of the day :-) I would highly recommend Alexandria as a pet sitter!”

“Lauren was wonderful to our babies. Our initial meet and greet went really well. She asked questions I wouldn’t have even thought to consider, like what to do if it’s raining. The babies looked super content and comfortable in all of the photos. She even handled our escape artist’s shenanigans like a pro. The peace of mind we had knowing they were well cared for was worth every penny. 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! With over 27 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds, from exotic birds and reptiles to dogs, cats, and small furry companions, I have a genuine love for animals and a deep understanding of their unique needs. I do work full-time, but I’m happy to work around my schedule to care for your babies! With at least a day’s notice, I can usually make arrangements and am flexible when it comes to finding a time that works best for everyone. 😊 When I’m not at work, I come home to my own little zoo—so caring for animals is definitely my thing! 😂🐾 I treat every pet like they’re my own, with patience, attention, plenty of cuddles, and lots of love. Whether your pup needs a walk, company while you’re away, or they just need some extra TLC, I’d love to help. Pet cuddles are the best—and I’m pretty lucky that I get to make them part of my day! ❤️🐶🐱 I work full-time, but I still have plenty of flexibility to help with walks and potty breaks during the day. I’m available to stop by while you’re at work to give your pup some exercise, attention, and a chance to do their business. 🐾 I’m also available for occasional pet sitting in your home when my schedule allows. I would need to know about a week in advance. Just communicate with me your needs and I'm sure we can make it work! I know how much peace of mind it can give you to have someone reliable caring for your pets in the comfort of their own home! I will follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and supervised during walks, potty breaks, and visits. I’m careful about doors, gates, leashes, and anything else that could pose a safety risk. I’ll also respect your home and your pet’s space, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you leave for their care. 🐾❤️
“Morgahn the "zoo keeper" is amazing. She is so caring to our 3 babies and 1 is very skittish and hides behind the dryer. She will sit back with him a few times, so he gets accustomed to her voice. He is a 15 pound black cat. I will always contact her when we leave town. Thanks so much Morgahn~~~”

About: I’ve loved animals since I was young. I grew up with goats, cats, dogs, bunnies, and many more fun critters. I find a lot of joy being around animals. When I was 9 I helped my family’s pet goat give birth and helped raise them until they were rehomed to different farms. That is just one of the many fun stories I have from growing up surrounded by a variety of animals. I’m pretty comfortable with all personalities of pets and am very accommodating to specific routines and lifestyles. I used to work at a pet hospital so, that educated me on how to care for injured or sick pets. As well as, how to handle different behaviors of pets to benefit their safety and day to day life. I believe that all pets deserve kind and loving care no matter the age. I’m currently a stay at home wife with plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I’m available Monday-Saturday all day and Sundays after 12 PM, unless we make special accommodations for overnights or other accommodations. I live in a quiet neighborhood and have a large fenced in yard with plenty of room for playing and exercise. I also have two dogs that love making new friends. For boarding at my house I like to let the dogs have plenty of outside time. Whether it’s in the backyard playing, going on a walk, or a trip to the dog park. I’m also up for quiet days with snuggles on the couch. I am happy to crate your dog if requested- one of my dogs are crated when they are home alone due to anxiety so I understand the necessity if needed. I also have indoor cameras to monitor my pets while I’m not home, so your pets will always have an eye on them even if I’m not physically there to ensure their safety. For overnight stays in your home, it is completely up to your discretion how you’d like me to care for your pets. If you have special instructions for your pet care I am open to almost anything, I don’t think any ask is too big or too small.
About: I have looked after all kinds of dogs by working with my aunt in a vet clinic over my summer breaks. I would love to walk your dog! I am a medical student at LSU Shreveport and love to take dog walk study breaks! I am usually free afternoons and evenings during the week I have a small backyard at my house which is gated in by a fence on all sides. I also have a patch of concrete next to the grass.

“Alyssa was absolutely amazing! My cat hates strangers, but Alyssa sent so many pictures of Riley rubbing up against her or drinking water out of the faucet (her favorite pastime lol). She did a great job!”
About: I’ve been caring for Dogs for the last 12 years from all kinds of breeds. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding with their schedule, and keeping them active and happy! I am currently in the airforce, I am available between Thursday, Friday and Saturdays to spend time with your pups. I’m also available mornings and nights or whatever works for you:) I will make sure they go on plenty of walk and go outside. They also will get all the love and attention they need. I will also make sure they always have a source of water!
“Brooke was excellent with our pets during our trip out of town! I really appreciated that she kept a consistent schedule and sent us updates with lots of pictures of our dog and cats. Our dog can be anxious while we're away, and Brooke was very gentle with earning her trust and making sure that she felt well-cared for during that time.”

About: Pet sitting is awesome because I want to spend time with as many wonderful pets as I can. I'll treat them just as well as I would like my pets to be treated since I know how important they are. Prior to Good Dog, I would pet sit for family, friends and neighbors. They deserve the best care even the little rambunctious ones. I have been working and volunteering in pet care for years. Interacting with any animal makes me happy but bunnies will always have a special place in my heart. Regardless of whether they have fur or scales I treat my pets, and other’s pets as family members who need just as much love and emotional care as they do physically. Thank you for this opportunity

I have had almost every kind of pet growing up and I absolutely loved all of them as if they were my own human children. pets our family so I will make sure your fur babies are taken care of. I currently work part time - mainly Thursdays and Saturdays. So I am free during the week to take care of your precious fur babies. I have two cats in my apartment. There's also a dog park right outside of my building that I'll be glad to let your babies run around and explore in while keeping a watchful eye.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
