“Jason took great care of our dog. He was patient, experienced, and took the time to understand our dog’s needs. Communication was excellent, and it was clear that he genuinely cares about the animals in his home. Our dog settled back into his normal routine very quickly after coming home, which gave us confidence that he was well cared for. We had a great experience and would definitely trust Jason to watch our dog again.”

“Kyle was amazing with our pups! I received updates, pics, and videos several times a day. My babies came back to me happy to see me, along with being relaxed and loved. Highly recommend.”

“Tiffany, thank you so much for the wonderful care you gave Windsir as always!! It truly means a lot to know he is in such kind and attentive hands. Your patience, compassion, and genuine love for animals really shows, and it makes all the difference. Windsor was happy, comfortable, and clearly well looked after. I’m so grateful. Thank you again for treating him like one of your own! 🐾”

“Shawna and Hannah were wonderful sitters for our dog. They kept her entertained and she made herself right at home with them. She loved it so much she didn’t want to leave when we picked her up! Will definitely be booking with them again, and would recommend them to anyone looking for communicative and reliable sitters.”
“My dogs had so much fun playing at Ashley’s house all weekend! She sent us a lot of pictures and videos which helped ease my nerves. There is a nice big fenced in yard and even doggie pools! She is very flexible for everything from care instructions to pick up/drop off times.”

“We are so happy to find Grace. We are pretty new to Iowa and she took amazing care of Callie during our wedding and honeymoon. I didn’t worry one bit and felt so comfortable knowing she was in good hands!”

“This being our first time with Rover - and Josh- and being somewhat late in the planning stage, I was of course a bit nervous, but Josh put us at ease right away. He first offered a Meet-n-Greet where we got to visit him at his home, get to know him a bit, and talk about expectations and our senior dog’s needs. He was flexible with the drop off and pick up scheduling and followed up during our trip with daily text updates and pictures to keep us “in the know”. We joked with our family that our pup wouldn’t want to come home with us because she was being loved on so well. 😊 Being a bit of a high anxiety dog, she often will shed a lot when nervous, but when she arrived home it was obvious to me that she had had a good experience. She was not only bright-eyed and tail wagging, but her coat was shiny and smooth – she was happy and feeling good. As any pet lover would agree, it does a momma’s heart good to know that there is someone out there who will care for your fur-baby with the same, if not better intent than your own. We believe Josh treated our dog with the utmost care, and would definitely reach out to him again if we need a safe place for our pet. ~Thanks Josh!!”

“Amanda’s communication was excellent and we discussed my dog’s feeding schedule and needs and she made sure to accommodate. I also received several cute photos during his stay. I could tell he was happy when I went to pick him up. Definitely recommend!”

“We highly recommend Nate! His heart for dogs is deep and he created a great experience for our dog and for us! Nate went above and beyond and we are planning our next visit to see grandkids with our dog safely with Nate! Well done!”

“Madi was wonderful! So communicative and sweet! I think my girl had the best time with her, she didn’t even want to come home! I felt my dog was so loved like her own. Thank you Madi!!!”

About: Drop ins: I’ll take your dog on a little walk before feeding them and spending time with your little furry love (20-30 minutes or so) Walking: I’ll take your pooch for a walk and/or run for as long as they require. House sitting: we will go on walks, snuggle, eat and I will be respectful of the owners home- clean up after myself and the animal so you come home to a nice clean home and you don’t have to rush to take care of your beloved fur baby! Boarding: not my preferred method of watching your pooch but if it’s absolutely needed, I can accommodate to make your pooch feel warm and welcome in my home.I have 2 large male dogs and a 2 year old- they’re great but getting older and less tolerant of other dogs.
“This was our first time using Rovr and Ali couldn’t have been better to work with. She was very flexible and took great care of our dog. She sent plenty of photos so we knew he was doing okay. I would highly recommend her and know that if we use Rovr again, we will gladly use Ali’s service again.”

“Caitlin (and John) were great! Norm had multiple walks/day and she sent pics and videos of him playing and hanging out with the family throughout his stay. They were very accommodating with drop off and pickup times.”

“It’s difficult to find a place that will love on your pup and spoil her like you do at home — DL & Libby R gave our pup all the attention and love she needed and more. She was well taken care of and felt safe in their home. The pictures and updates made us feel at ease and will be treasured additions to our own photos. Thank you DL & Libby R!!! ?❤️?”

“Adela was great! She set pictures and gave us updates on Bella daily! She met with us in advance and had Bella meet her two dogs! Bella had a great time! We will definitely book with Adela again!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
