“If I could give Alison 10 stars I would. She was our hero this last weekend. Our poor pup caught a case of diarrhea the first night that we left her with the original sitter. While we were on the runway waiting for our airplane to take off, the original sitter called us panicking saying that she could not continue to watch our dog. Rover helped us get in contact with Alison who answered the call for help immediately. She drove all the way to the other sitter’s house to pick up our baby and took amazing care of her. Alison hand fed our dog when she was feeling sick and took her out every hour throughout the night. She made our pup feel right at home and put our minds at ease too. Generally, my pup gets some play time and exercise in the morning before work, during lunch, and then after work. During work hours, they hang with me in my office playing with toys, enjoying a chewy treat or just cuddling and napping while I work. I have a friendly dog who loves to play (he can be a little vocal - it's the terrier in him) and will be happy to give your fur baby some company. I allow my dog on the furniture and beds, but if you prefer not to, I am happy to adjust per your need. Let me know if your dogs need a specific routine or have play preferences. My main goal is to make sure their time with me is stress-free and they miss you as little as possible.
About: I have loved critters of all kinds since childhood. I attended obedience training for my family Rottweiler at age 6, and have cared for many big-breed dogs such as pitbulls, American bulldogs, mastiffs, Great Danes, labs, and more. I have been the trusted pet sitter for friends and family starting as early as middle school, and am also very comfortable around small breeds and senior babies. I have experience with Boston terriers, yorkies, daschunds, beagles, and more. I have and am comfortable with administering necessary meds or topicals for pets with extra health needs. I have also cared for cats, bunnies, fish, and turtles. I am very passionate about rescuing, and happy to discuss any extra care your pet may need due to a life transition like fostering or rescuing. I watched a PETA ad when I was 9 years old and have been vegetarian ever since… I just really love animals! :) I am working part-time from home at the moment, so I am very flexible currently with my schedule. I am typically available in the mornings, afternoons, and early evenings! I have a fenced in backyard, and I do not have a dog of my own. I have a dining area with an extra couch that can be sectioned off if needed for a crate or food. I do have a senior cat who is indoor, who is very friendly with dogs. He grew up around my mom’s beagles, so he doesn’t mind company/energy! I can section off my basement stairs and kitchen for safety if needed. I cannot board any cat-aggressive dogs for my cat’s safety. I do not use any non pet-safe cleaners or pest control in my home.
About: I always knew I had this nature since I was little, on taking care of animals. I always want to protect them and make sure they are well, because I love them very much and I get upset when an animal is not okay. Been taking care of animals since I was 5 years old. I currently do not have a full time job but I do have offers around and I want to experience with this app too. My availability depends if I have an interview or I have to do an orientation. I currently have to go to Chicago every week starting on the 16 but I can do weekends. I am very exited, can’t wait to meet all these animals :) My house it is pretty big, and is very safe, there is no kids around and we can always place something on the side for them to stay put into one place !
