They have a great dog friendly yard and we received plenty of updates to let us know that she was doing fine. She definitely got plenty of exercise and a lot of love. “I had a family wedding to go to and wanted to find a safe and comfortable place to leave Winston, my young dorgi (half dachshund, half corgi) who had never been away from me since I was lucky enough to get him. Laura and her family turned out to be the perfect people and place. With a beautiful, safe home out in the country, a deck and fenced in yard where he could play, a open-plan house where he was visible at all times, Laura’s place was perfect. And the bonus: three little girls who adored him and lavished attention upon him, much to his delight. Laura, herself, was wonderful, caring, professional, delightful. She took him on long walks which he loved, texted me photos and updates on this progress during the stay, saw to his every need and even made some recommendations to me as to feeding bowls which might slow his eating down (he snarfs up his food in seconds!). I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. But I think he knows he can go back and stay in this home away from home which he will definitely be doing the next time I need to go away without him. I can’t tell you the peace of mind that all this brought me, knowing that he was happy and being well-cared-for and loved.”

About: I’ve had dogs for 30+ years and now I’m retired with no dogs so have room for yours. I am gentle and playful as well as responsible and active. I do not take cats, sorry. I watch our daughter’s dog on occasion but would not watch him at the same time. I had a lovely chihuahua for 16 years, and a husky, as well as a fluffy white mixed pup, all healthy and happy and had their senior years with us as well. I’m retired and home all day doing eBay and other hobbies. I also take daily walks and would take your dog out often as well. I have a large fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood. I am also home a lot and allow the small dogs to jump up in my lap and furniture.

I have more than 28 years experience with several animal species, including doing my professional businesses the past 4 years, working at a kennel, and several dog sports! I can provide certain medical requests (such as oral medication or injections). I grew up with dogs (small, medium, and LARGE), cats, birds, small companion animals, fish, and horses over the years. I do this full-time and have plenty of availability! I can usually fill most accommodations and requests based on availability when a booking is requested! When caring for a client’s animal companion in their homes, I always make sure to conduct a consultation (meet and greet) so that I am introduced to the companions before providing services. This ensures that your animal companions feel safe and secure with someone they are familiar with while I am in their home. This is used to establish what boundaries and needs your animal companion needs from me while you are away. Safety is the most important aspect of my job for your animal companions.
