“Desi and Marylin are wonderful. They truly are dog people, and they care for my Rocky as if he was theirs. Desi was nice enough to give Rocky time to acclimate to his pack. Furthermore, he updated me couple of times a day on Rocky's status. I will definitely come back and have them take care of Rocky.”

“Storm had a great time he came home in such a good mood. Will def be booking again , this was my first rover experience and sue was very welcoming much love and appreciated thanks again”

“Just like last time Sage enjoyed his stay with Jonathan. This stay was a little different because Sage had an upset tummy. Jonathan still decided to keep him for us. Despite our pup feeling ill he was extremely excited to see Jonathan and his family and it showed. They were excited to see him as well. Jonathan paid great attention to Sage while he rested and gave us great tips on helping him feel better.”

“I was so nervous to drop off my newly rescued small Chiweenie and Geoff and Jenny did such a good job caring for him with so much love. Super friendly and accommodating. I can’t wait for him to go back to another doggy daycare day!”

“Sriram & Rekha S. was super sweet and attentive to Ace. He communicated with me during the whole day. And contacted me as well once my sister picked up Ace. Will be booking with him again!”

“Milo was well cared for and loved with Christine. She sent pics and videos. We were also running late and she has no problem with it. Fantastic sitter we would definitely use again.”

About: I have years of experience with cats and dogs of all ages. I have so much love for all animals and I’m very patient in taking care and getting to know them. I’ve had many dog clients and each dog has their own personality. Each client I have, I take the time to make sure that the pet is comfortable and happy. On the days I have your pet, I will have plenty of time to take care of them for their scheduled time. I love animals and have pets myself so pet care falls naturally into my daily actives. From making time to walk, feed, and exercise with them. My top priority is to provide a safe environment for the pets that will be in my home or a clients home. Its very important for me to make sure I provide good communication with the owner. Before taking care of your pet, I like to discuss specific requirements my clients might need for their pet, such as feeding schedules. exercise routines, and any special needs. I give frequent updates and provide many pictures and if there’s anything of concern that I see while your pet is in my care I make sure to notify the owner immediately.
“Katherine consistently kept me informed on the status of my Pets and provided pictures and videos so I could see how they were doing. She provided boarding, walks, feedings and administered my Senior dog's medication each day. I would definitely recommend her for boarding or daycare.”

“Jinghong is a very caring sitter. My dog Bacon fell in love with her starting from meet and greet. Bacon was well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was obvious he was happy and comfortable during his stay. Thank you for treating him with such care—I would absolutely book with you again and highly recommend you to others!”

About: Im a reliable, responsible and hardworking person who have had dogs, cats and exotic pets since I was six years old. I accept special pets. I’m currently a stay at home mom, so I’ll have plenty of time to play and take care of your baby. I’m available 24/7 any day, any time. Our home is cozy and your fur baby is allowed to chill on the furniture and to sleep on our bed. Our yard is fenced and we have a friendly pug dog to keep your fur baby company.

“Eunice was so great with Mocha. He’s a senior so he needs a little more care and attention and Eunice had a great handle on it. He looked like he had such a great time!”

“Digdem is amazing!! After another Rover sitter cancelled on us at the last minute, she agreed to take our 9 year old, anxious, Weimaraner last minute on Thanksgiving Day! She was so accommodating and sent frequent updates throughout the day. We are so grateful to have found her and can’t wait to use her again. Very highly recommend!!”

“Tracy came through in a pinch for us and watched our two dogs Maisie and Louie last minute on Christmas Day. From the moment we got to their place, we were put at ease - they’re clearly dog professionals and made us feel totally comfortable leaving our pups. Even our nervous dog Louie immediately took to them. They sent lots of updates and pictures and made our holiday stress free. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life. Our dogs are like children to us. Now, as we work from home and have a big yard, we have the ideal setup for happy, safe dogs—and want to share it with your fur baby! Stay at Penny’s House: - We’ve raised our 3-year-old mini poodle to be happy, gentle and kind. She loves to play and cuddle, and gets along very well with other dogs and cats! She’s a great hostess. - Our home is very loving and safe. Someone is always around to give cuddles and love, plenty of cozy places to hang out, and hazards are always out of reach. - We have a fully fenced, big backyard where your beloved fur baby can play fetch and get out all their zoomies frequently and safely. It's also covered in grass and shaded by large trees, so don't worry about hot summer days! - We don't anticipate anything happening, but just in case, rest assured because our home is only *one block* away from an excellent animal hospital! - We’ll do our best to make sure that your little buddy will feel loved and at home here, getting the same level of care you like to provide to them. - We’ve had senior dogs and a dog with diabetes, so we are very careful and will always give attention to detail to adapt to their needs: diet, exercise, attention, or anything else. You can count on us to always read ingredients and to follow your instructions carefully. - We will keep you updated with photos and videos so you know they’re safe and having a good time. - ¡Se habla español! Si tu perrito se siente más cómodo que le hable en español, solo díganos cuáles comandos utilizan. It’s hard to find someone to trust with your pet; we found this out the hard way. So we hope our home can be the place you rely on to feel safe leaving your little bundle. REQUIREMENTS: We’re flexible and easygoing. But because we want everyone to have a good, safe time, we do have a couple of requirements: 1) We require a meet-and-greet for all new clients before a stay to make sure our dog and yours get along well. 2) Your dog must be up-to-date on all vaccines: rabies, bordatella, lepto, etc. Because we work from home, we are available at home to take care of your little buddy full time for boarding and daycare at our home. A fully-enclosed, shaded backyard for zoomies and lots of walks around our safe, dog-friendly, and tree-lined neighborhood. Your fur baby will be under our supervision throughout the day and will get frequent trips to the yard and lots of time to play. We're also happy to walk your dog as often as you need. We’re always happy to be flexible with your schedule to accommodate both your and your dog’s needs.

Our Leah was well taken care of and given undivided attention. The sitter and family lived on Leah and we would be happy to have Natalie take care of Leah when we need warm , friendly dog sitter . Happy tahr she can handle one large dog at a time esp as our dog is not much of a pack player.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
