“Jeanette was a fantastic drop-in sitter for our two cats! She went above and beyond to share photos with us and communicate while we were gone. We will be booking her again and I recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter!”

About: Hi! I’ve worked as a kennel technician for about a year and a half and have experience caring for dogs in a boarding/daycare environment. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, cleaning, handling high-energy dogs, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort, and providing a calm and safe environment for pets. I also have experience administering medications and following specific care instructions to help keep pets comfortable and on schedule while their owners are away. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats and understand the importance of patience, consistency, cleanliness, and paying attention to behavior changes. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and happy to provide updates/photos during visits so owners can feel reassured while away from home. I currently work part-time, so my availability may vary week to week. However, I keep my schedule updated and am happy to accept bookings that fit around my work schedule. I’m especially interested in flexible drop-ins and short-term care. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I always try to follow routines closely, pay attention to behavior changes, and provide a calm and patient environment. With my kennel/daycare experience, I’m comfortable handling different personalities and energy levels while making sure pets are cared for safely and responsibly.
“Amanda took excellent care of our cat while we were away. Our cat is very social and playful, got all the attention she needed, and appeared fully content when we returned. Amanda also made sure to check in via the Rover app and keep us updated while we were out of town. Next time we need a pet sitter, I know we can rely on Amanda!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life growing up. Anywhere from small, medium, to large dogs. I’ve had mini dachshunds, Dalmatians, St. Bernards, and German Shepherds. Currently right now I have a 3 Golden Retrievers named Willie, Waylon, and Hank. I also have a cat named Cash! I current work full time Monday-Thursday. I can be available later evenings if needed, we would just have to work things out in advance. I am generally free Friday-Sunday for any needs as well but also with notice. We have a 2 acre yard that my pups are free to roam via a underground fence. But we also have a lead for my moms dogs when she brings them over to play. We have a big house with a good sized living room and kitchen where all of my pups play as well when we have to be inside.
“Emily was great to work with and I would recommended her to anyone. This was the first time I left the cats at home so I was a little nervous but Emily made me feel that they were in good hands.”

“Rylee was very pleasant and quite "animal" knowledgeable. I had no qualms about leaving Grayson with her, but I hated leaving him! This was the first time I left him. I'd have Rylee back everytime! Please tip Rylee $20. And a huge thank you!”

“She arrived a little early so we could go over Ollie’s routine and instructions, which I really appreciated. She was also very friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She followed instructions, such as giving Ollie his enrichment toy and taking him outside. During the visit, there was an accident in the playpen that was not communicated to me and wasn’t fully cleaned up, and I also noticed Ollie’s water dish was empty. I appreciated her kindness and willingness to help, but I would have liked clearer communication about how the visit went. That said, she was good with Ollie and he really liked her.”

I don't know what we would do without Amber !! She is sweet , kind and loving to our pets. They are always in the best hands when we go on vacation. We are so fortunate to have found Amber on Rover. She goes above and beyond just the sitting. She fills our bird feeder, feeds our wild crows ,fills our birdbaths and waters our plants. Amber even mopped our floor of kitty litter.! Truly a wonderful person. She'll be sitting for us again in November. Thank you so much Amber!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
