Experienced, Loving Pet Sitter
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Beginning when I was a little girl, my love for all animals grew as I learned how to become responsible and care for many different kinds of animals. I have owned and/or cared for dogs of many sizes, ages, and breeds, cats, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, mice, guinea pigs, ferrets, snakes, fish, birds, and horses, and I have enjoyed every second of it! I also have experience caring for animals with special needs, such as pets that may need medication, a special diet, or extra attention due to age. Currently, my family and I own two dogs: a 5 year old German Shepard/Australian Cattle Dog mix and a 5 year old Chihuahua. We also own three cats who like to hide upstairs 😄 My dogs and cats are neutered/spayed. My dogs and I enjoy going for walks, swimming in the creek or lake, and playing ball or frisbee in our backyard. My pets are a priority in my life, and I promise to care for and love your pet as if they were my own!

Amber did so well with our 15 year old cocker spaniel, Remi. I could tell she had been well loved and given lots of attention while she was in her care. Amber came to meet her before our booking, and gave unprompted updates throughout our week away. We will definitely use her services again if we ever need to!

Wonderful experience for our dog as we were on an extended vacation. Our dog was cared for, loved and happy. Communication and pictures were appreciated. Have already booked another stay for our dog in July. So thankful to have found Amber.

Schedule
I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. When your dog stays with me, he or she will follow a similar schedule that I use for my own dogs: regular feedings, morning and/or evening walks, play time in the backyard or inside, and spending time with the family. I will sometimes take the dogs for short car ride to a nearby park for a walk if the owner feels comfortable with me doing so. We may also visit the nearby creek to cool off in the warmer months. During the evenings and weekends, I do need to leave the house from time to time, but I will not be gone more than a few hours while your dog is in my care.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large, unfenced backyard, so there is plenty of space for your pup to have supervised play on a long leash. We live in a small quiet community adjacent to the woods with many walking trails. We do not live near any busy roads. My dogs are friendly, fully vaccinated, and spayed/neutered, and they would enjoy getting to know your pet! I also have the space to place your pet's crate if they have one. If I come to your home, please know that the safety and well-being of your pet is my top priority! I will respect your home and property as if it were my own.

A typical day
My dogs and I enjoy spending time together on a daily basis. We like to take walks on the trails through the woods, play in the nearby creek, and sometimes go to the lake for a swim. We also enjoy visiting the dog park from time to time. My dogs love to play catch or frisbee in our backyard.
