“Tara came to our rescue when our regular sitter fell through at the last minute. We were overjoyed after the meet & greet to have someone local that clearly “gets dogs”. Plan to book with her in the future, and are so grateful for the daily updates and photos. Thanks Tara and Leo/Khali look forward to walks with you again soon!”

About: I’ve had pets in my life since I was 2 years old. My dog was my best friend from 2-16 yrs. I was raised on a mini farm and was lucky enough to care for horses, cows, pigs, chickens, several dogs, many cats and recently goats. Nothing brings me more happiness than being around our furry friends. Currently, we have 3 miniature poodle mixes, which we love beyond words. We recently adopted a St. Bernard/Pitbull mix. We have a big dog house 24’x12’ fully fenced to board big dogs. Medium 20 lbs to extra small dogs board/daycare inside our home. We offer an alternative to traditional boarding/daycare. Our dogs are family and guest dogs are welcomed to our family pack. Animals are my passion and bring me fulfillment and joy! Providing daycare and boarding is my profession. I worked a corporate job 35 years as a director in the health insurance field. After I was laid off I decided to not go back to the long hours and stress. Instead I dove head first into following my dream of opening a pet service business. I’ve taken my business experience and love for animals to the next level. I am excellent at following the care plan you give me. I want to take care of your pet as you would with as much love as I can give them. I understand the need for pet parents to travel or work knowing their pets are safe, exercised and loved. I offer a customized experience developed just for your dog.

“Katelyn is great with our fur child Quigley! She is dependable and has excellent communication! Quigley can be hesitant to go on walks and she has been patient and so helpful with him! 🐾 We love having her as a dog walker!”

“Chelsea is great!! She was available for a last-minute walk, very friendly, and my pup, Khali immediately loved her. Khali came home tired and relaxed. Grateful to find someone we can trust locally. Thanks so much Chelsea!!”

“I am so glad to have found Frankie for my yellow Labrador. She was flexible with scheduling, and made all efforts to accomodate any last minute requests. Jaggi was at ease with her all the time. She really took care of my dog like he was her own. I will not be looking for anyone else to sit my dog for a while. Thank you Frankie for being so awesome.”

About: Lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience! I grew up with multiple dogs and have spent years walking and caring for pets, including overnight stays. I’m comfortable with different routines, energy levels, and personalities—and I always make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and cared for. Mondays–Wednesdays are my off days and my most flexible time. I work Thursday–Sunday afternoons starting around 2, and my mornings are usually reserved for staying active—walks, workouts, or anything that gets me moving. I don’t have pets currently, but I’ve grown up caring for family and friends’ dogs and I’m comfortable with most breeds, prioritizing calm, safe, attentive care.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 15. I’ve had elderly dogs that required special assistance and medication. I currently have three dogs and a cat myself 😊 I work remotely and set my own hours so I have a pretty flexible schedule that allows me to spend time with the animals and love on them when needed! I have a fully fenced yard for my dogs, and though I do not practice crating them I do understand the necessity and importance of that practice for other dogs.
About: I have been taking care of dogs from a very young age, and I have been a professional sitter and boarder for a little over 3 years now. I recently moved to the area and am looking to rebuild my clientele. I am an animal advocate who has spent a lot of time volunteering with different agencies to help find forever homes for abandoned fur babies, and working for programs that went out and helped the homeless get the right care for their pets. I have experience with hyper pets, shy pets, large and small. I love them all the same. Let me spoil your babies while you’re away, and take comfort in knowing that they are safe and loved with me. I am currently an online student and doing a part time work from home job, so I will be home and available for them all day besides appointments or errands I have a large fenced yard that I make sure to walk the perimeter of to make sure there are no escape points. I also have a huge deck for them to lounge on and they have free roam of my home. I do have a toddler in the home, she is very shy with animals and has grown up learning the importance of being gentle and nonintrusive with them.
About: I take my animals seriously especially my dogs. They are just full of life. I house 1 mastiff pit boxer mix ive had since he was 8 weeks the other is a rescue a mountain hound mix. Both are my world anywhere I am they are. They love to smile and wiggle. I have always had animals so everyday I am tasked with the responsibility of taking care of them From cleaning litter to walking my dog to taking them to vet to just overall being there. Its not always easy but everyday I show up and would not trade it for anything! I am comfortable with either pets in my home dog or cat. I do have a good size fenced back yard. A lot space in my home. For my pets and other pets I can separate them if needed. I have a ton of space for boarding. Along with experience.
About: ****Summer vacation bookings are happening. Don’t miss out! I am an intuitive animal lover with 30 years experience caring for my own and others’ pets. I am the first person my friends and family call on when they need their beloved pet and home cared for in their absence. I am a former doggy day care owner. My schedule is open and flexible with last minute care available. I can also deep clean during overnight stays if desired. I enjoy having regular barking customers in my neighborhood. I have been a nanny and house cleaner in the past in addition to pet sitter so I very reliable when it comes to caring for your precious pet or safety caring for your home and plant needs.
About: My goal is to provide the best dog sitting service in Mason Country. Read on for how I set out to be that special caregiver for your pets. I came to pets and pet sitting “later in life,” and discovered, with great gratitude, a passion and a gift for taking care of your precious animal companions… because that is what they are, for you and for me. I’m not a casual caregiver, or a friend; I’m not walking your dog or feeding, or talking to them, as a favor to you or as a part-time job or hobby. Nor am I in a hurry to get out of your home, or to ‘fit you in’ between errands. I own my own pet sitting business and I'm going through here to get started in a new area for new clients. My total focus is your two most precious possessions: Your pets and your property…all day long, usually 7 days a week! I’m a full-time professional pet sitter, dedicated to the loving care and the details of dogs! I believe that pets should be as happy with a sitter as they are when their owners are at home (or close to it!). As one dog owner put it: “I enjoy your notes immensely. I feel like you know my dogs as well as I do after a few short days.”… The most important goals for me are providing a consistently high quality of pet care service and developing lasting relationships with Mason County pet owners. Here are just a few of the ways that I can make a quality difference in your pets’ (and your) lives: Details I’m a detail-oriented business person who knows how important it is to follow through, in a meticulous way, the instructions you give me for the daily care of your dogs as well as your home. When I mull over situations with your pets and think about how important your home is to you, I always ask myself: “What would they do if they were here? How would they want me to proceed”? If there is any question in my mind, I contact you before taking action. I document all my actions for you, in my daily text or email, so that you don’t have to wonder or worry about the quality of care your pets and your home have received while you’re gone. As one client put it: “My goal in going with a professional pet sitter was…wanting the best for our two dogs while we were away. Carrie left it “camps without a trace,” returning the house to you as you left it. To list all the tasks she does to keep things ticking while we’re gone is more work than I want, so let’s just say, hire this intelligent woman who takes pride in her business and find out the true meaning of “getting away.” High Standard I maintain Open Communication at all times. Great communication is the key to all successful relationships. I always email clients a confirmation of their pet sitting arrival and departure dates/times, so there are no missed appointments or misunderstandings. I also write detailed daily email/text describing your pets’ activities and behaviors, including any changes I notice in their eating or sleeping or other routines – in addition to all their fun and funny ‘adventures’ when you’re gone! The level of communication I provide you, before you go and while you’re away, is an important part of my pet sitting service, demonstrating the observation skills and the focus I bring as caregiver for your pets and home! It's my main career to take care of your pets on a daily basis. So I have all the time in the world to spend time with them. I will be caring for your pet (s) in their own home where they are more comfortable than being in a boarding place. Have a wonderful day. Hope to hear from you soon

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
