“Bailey & Kyle took good care of our puppy. We started with a day long visit, then scheduled an overnight stay and graduated to a week long stay. She stays busy playing and comes home happy and tired.”

“Scooby was treated like a king! Kayla’s kids always made sure he was nice and comfortable. Her husband took him on runs and he was made to feel like part of the family. We will definitely use Kayla again.”

“Kaylee was awesome to work with watching our high energy black lab puppy. Also my flight home was cancelled and had to extend my booking with her which she was super cool about. She kept her an additional day no problem. She also sent daily photos and updates”

“Lorelei was absolutely fantastic! She watched our Jack Russell while my husband and I were away for a long weekend last minute, and I could not have been more comfortable leaving our girl in her care. Our dog suffers from separation anxiety, and during her stay with Lorelei she was not left alone even once. After bringing her home, she was so exhausted from a weekend of play that she slept for almost an entire day. Would definitely recommend her, and will be booking with her again!”

“Alisha and Joshua took great care of our dog and gave us a great peace of mind while on vacation. We will absolutely be using them again in the future! Highly recommend them for all your little dog needs!”

“This is a dog paradise!!! My year and a half old lab has been to 3 doggie daycares until we found the perfect place for him. I would highly recommend Roxana and Nathan to anyone that wants to know that their dog is safe and having a better time than you! Thank you Roxana and Nathan”

“This was our first time using Rover and we could rave on and on about Luisa. We used her while we were out of town for 5 days. She was very communicative, friendly, sent us tons of pictures and videos and treated our dog Stitch like one of her own including taking her to the park. When we picked Stitch up she gave us some key emergency docs that are recommended to have (she's pet CPR certified) and then she checked in with us later to make sure Stitch was adjusting back home ok. She is a natural pet lover and a wonderful person. Definitely found Stitch's new home away from home!”

“Dani and her husband provided Bella with lots of fun activity and care while I was away for a birthday trip! I highly recommend Dani for others in the future. Thanks for making Bella feel comfortable away from home! Kathy”

“Charis was the absolute perfect pet sitter for our adopted Pug. Our pup had never been boarded before. And, because she’s used to going with us almost everywhere she experiences significant separation anxiety when she cannot go. And, although she likes her crate we do not crate her at night. She has always slept on our bed with us. Charis understood & did not have any problem allowing our pup to sleep on their bed with them. And, dog loves playing with other dogs. So, the fact that Charis had French & English Bulldogs that were of similar size & temperament made her place the obvious choice. Not to mention the kind & caring atmosphere at her home. It was very obvious that our pup had a great time because she came home exhausted & happy. And, was very relaxed & at peace the next day. We also really appreciated receiving daily updates & photos via text. It really helped to set our minds at ease. We definitely intend to use Charis again. And, we will highly recommend her services to everyone we meet.”

“We used Miranda for 3 days while my wife was in the hospital. She took great care of our 7 month old mini labradoodle. We would not hesitate to use her services again, and highly recommend her.”

“Jesse was fantastic with our dogs, Storm and Trooper. From the start he was easy to reach and quick to respond to every message, which made booking and drop-off completely stress-free on our end. Throughout the stay he sent regular photo updates, so we always had a good sense of how the dogs were doing and could see for ourselves that they were comfortable and settled in. When we picked them up, both dogs were happy, relaxed, and showed zero signs of stress or anxiety, which says a lot about the environment Jesse creates. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches, not just checking a box. Communication, reliability, and how our dogs came back are the three things we care about most with any boarder, and Jesse delivered on all three. Highly recommend Jesse if you want someone who treats your dogs like his own. We'll be booking with him again”

“Lena did an awesome job with senior dog, Murphy. Each day she sent a picture and update on how he was doing which eased our minds and was greatly appreciated would recommend and use her services again!”

“Stacey took excellent care of my golden and kept me updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my pup was happy, safe, and well-loved, and playing with her adorable goldens! I would absolutely book with Stacey again and highly recommend her to other pet parents!”

“Bella took wonderful and attentive care of our anxious dog. She gave regular updates and check-ins while we were away traveling and gave us peace of mind. She was very patient and built trust with our dog easily. Will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Peter took lots of pics and gave me lots of updates on how my dog was doing. It looks like she got lots of love and was happy in every pic. Plus he has super sweet dogs for your dog to play with. I would use Peter and his family as dog sitters again.”

“Sara was amazing!!! She kept me up-to-date on my pups the entire time & made sure they received lots of love. I would definitely recommend her & will be using her services again in the future ?”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lilliwaup home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lilliwaup.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lilliwaup sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
