“Christina and Gabriel provided lots of attention and love to buttercup and when she came back, she was much better behaved and much calmer! Thank you both so much for opening your home and your heart to our pet! We are forever indebted to you, Debbie”

“Frankie loves going to Ashley’s house! She is very responsive and takes great care of Frankie. She makes sure to always send me photos of Frankie playing outside or hanging out inside watching tv. I will continue to use Ashley any time I need a sitter.”

“Our boy had a blast at Terwrin's! We received pictures and updates daily. He even got some couch time! He was happy when we picked him up. Terwrin even had him and his things ready to go, to minimize the chaos, when we arrived. We definitely felt at ease leaving him and will book again. Thank you for showing our Winston some love for a few days!”

“Hi Kristin, Bentley and I are home. I thank you for the care you provided Bentley. I apologize for my day mix up. Please let the kids know that we may through again in early spring. With Deepest Regards, Stan Ducker 9/9/25”

“I’m always nervous leaving my dogs with strangers...they definitely let me know when they aren’t happy somewhere. Elaine was happy to do a meet and greet with us so we can introduce our two kiddos to her dog, Mango. Both Elaine and Mango were very friendly and my dogs loved them...and the huge backyard! Stanza is more of a cuddler, while Lois and Mango chased after the ball for what seemed like hours. They didn’t want to leave, which was a great sign. My kiddos ended up staying with Elaine and Mango and a few other dogs over Christmas. All the dogs got along and I loved the photos and updates that Elaine sent of not only my two but of them interacting well with the others. I love that Elaine allows the dogs on the couch and bed if they desire; there were also plenty of dog beds available also. My kiddos were excited to see us, but they’ll be happy to visit Elaine and Mango again next time we have to head out of town...we will definitely be having Elaine watch them again!”

“Belinda was awesome! She is definately a dog person! Our 3 pups invaded her home for a day. She and her husband took it in stride. Thdy were fed, snuggled and loved. What wonderful people! Very flexible and a delight to work with. I would absolutely have them take care of my pups again.”

“Bella is right at home when she stays with Jacob. She loves his huge yard to run around. Jacob sends daily videos or pictures to keep us up to date on our girl. Also, Jacob administered her meds daily which was very important. Bella will stay here again in the future!”

“Elizabeth was great with my pup! I had some time changes for leaving and coming back and she was extremely flexible with my drop off and pick up times for her! Sent me pictures of my baby too!!!”

“Sydney was wonderful—she sent photos of Leonidas everyday he was with her and he was such a happy pup when I picked him up! I can feel how positive the energy is in Sydney’s home and how well she cared for him. He loved playing with her dog and being with a family while I was away. Thank you so much Sydney!”

“We are very pleased with Terri caring for our two doxies. She was great communicating with us and sending photos. Her home is comfy, clean, and pet friendly. When we got there we knew our fur babies were in good hands. Terri’s dog Finn was so nice with our dogs. He really did well with them. We will definitely ask for her wonderful care again.”

“Sam was amazing! She made me feel so relieved and comfortable, especially sense it was my first time using a sitter. Volly seemed so happy there! Sam was adamantly responsive. Ill definitely be using her again in the future! Thanks again Sam!!”

“Peggy was so great with our boys! It was the 1st time used Rover and left them, and we will definitely do it again. They played like they were at a home away from home!”

“Jana is a dog whisperer! She helped us out last minute with our 3 1/2 month old mini dachshund while we traveled to my Dad’s 90th birthday. Our puppy was so loved and played with. Great communicator and really loves the dogs! Thank you Jana!!”

“Karina is my go-to dog sitter. She’s kept Sammy several times and always takes wonderful care of him. She sends pictures, keeps me updated, and Sammy always comes home so happy!”

“Our dog had a wonderful time and experience with Corey. He gave us daily updates and cared for her! We are so happy and pleased to have found him to care for our dog. We will be using him again!”

“Michael with Milo & Max was a great experience. Not only did he provide needed TLC to my pets but assistance to me on the process with Rover. This was my first time away from my new rescued fur babies. Michael kept in touch with me on the status of Max & Milo by sending me pictures during the day. Michael greeted us an introduced Harper his pet an my dogs felt at home an I knew immediately being comfortable leaving them. The location made ease of drop off/pickup, which is a asset to pet sitting in the Foley, AL area. Affordable an Definitely a five-star service!”

“Majorca was an awesome sitter for both my dogs. Daily pics of them playing and having fun. She also was very flexible with pickup and dropoff times. Would highly recommend her.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lillian
Christina and family were wonderful in caring for our dog for four days! We could tell from how she responded during our meet and greet time with them and through the pictures sent to us while we were out of town. Our dog is 24 lbs, midsize and 9 years old......she showed good signs of having been comfortable in their home with them!
We needed a dependable person to care for our four legged family person.. Sherri set up a meet and greet weeks in advance and we found her to be cheerful and very accommodating to our Philo.. She shared occasional photos through the week.. Kinda felt like Philo wouldn’t have minded staying there longer. Good job Sherri.. We’ll use you again!

Sydney was wonderful—she sent photos of Leonidas everyday he was with her and he was such a happy pup when I picked him up! I can feel how positive the energy is in Sydney’s home and how well she cared for him. He loved playing with her dog and being with a family while I was away. Thank you so much Sydney!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
