“Rachell sent pictures and had a big yard for Lacey. I know Lacey is glad to be back home, but she won't be as anxious next time she visits Rachell and her new bird and dog friends.”

“Christina did a very good job watching my dog Bernie. She did a great job keeping me updated on how he was doing throughout the stay. She was good with communication too and very flexible to my schedule. She had a great yard for him to release all that energy. I would recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Laura was fantastic! We felt very comfortable leaving our dogs with her. She sent pictures and gave them lots of love. I would highly recommend using Laura for your dog sitting needs.”

“Five stars! This was our first time leaving the dogs with someone in Rover. I was very nervous. The dogs loved Sherry and we will use her again in the future. She sends pictures with updates. Sherry is kind and understanding. Our little senior chihuahua has a lot of trust issues and doesn’t care for people, but he enjoyed Sherry’s company. Thank you Sherry for keeping our kiddos safe and happy!”

“Stephanie was amazing with my giant 80 pound not very well trained ?. She sent pics and was very responsive to messages. And she’s very friendly and welcoming. If she lets me I’ll hands down use her from now on!”

“We are do thankful to have Adam as our dog sitter! I know our poodles make themselves right at home with Adam. He sends us lots of pictures of them cuddled up on the couch. They also love to go on walks and Adam makes time for that each day. I highly recommend Adam as a Rover caregiver. We will gratefully continue to request his services whenever we need a dog sitter.”

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, personalities, and backgrounds. I grew up with large-breed dogs and have loved dogs my entire life. When I moved out on my own, adopting a dog was one of the first things I did! I currently have three resident dogs, all of whom I trained myself. Two of the three have severe separation anxiety, so I'm quite well-versed in some of the behavioral traits that come along with that. For the past two years, I've also been actively involved in the dog rescue world by fostering. I've fostered 12 dogs ranging from young puppies who needed to learn the basics to adult dogs who came with more challenging behavioral needs such as resource guarding. These experiences have taught me to be patient, observant, and adaptable with every dog I care for. I understand that not every dog is going to walk into a new environment perfectly behaved, and I genuinely enjoy meeting them where they are and helping them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a perfectly behaved adult, or somewhere in between, I'll treat them like one of my own. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away! I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule. My resident dogs still rule my daily routine. Your pup will get plenty of attention throughout the day/night and can have potty breaks as consistently as needed. I've house trained seven puppies over the past two years, so I'm very used to frequent potty breaks if that's something your pup needs. Otherwise, every 2-4 hours is pretty consistent with the routine my resident dogs are on. I've fostered dogs with a variety of different needs and have always worked it into my schedule. I want every dog in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and at home, so I'm happy to adapt my approach to each dog's individual needs and your preferences as a pet parent. I do have three resident dogs in my home, all of whom are extremely dog friendly. Ideally, dogs staying in my home will be comfortable around other dogs, but I understand that not every dog wants or needs constant interaction. I have a separate guest room that I've previously used for foster dogs who needed some quiet time or a slower introduction. If your pup needs their own space, they can have a dedicated area away from my resident dogs while still having plenty of company - I work from home, and the guest room also serves as my home office. I have an unfenced yard, so dogs are always taken outside on a leash. I also have a long line that allows fogs more freedom to sniff, explore, and play while remaining safely contained. Outdoor time is always supervised, whether your dog is staying with me or I'm caring for them in your home. When caring for a dog in your home, I'll follow your instructions and do my best to maintain your pup's normal routine, including feeding, medication, walks, potty breaks, and any other care they're accustomed to. My priority is always safety, communication, and making sure your pup feels comfortable and well cared for while you're away. I've had people care for my own dogs while I've been away, and I've experienced both sides of the spectrum - sitters who went above and beyond and sitters who left me wishing I'd been there myself. I know how important it is to maintain a dog's routine and give them the same care and attention they're used to. My own dogs are basically my children, so I know exactly what level of care I'd want for them. That's the same standard I'll bring to caring for yours!
“We absolutely loved boarding our wiggle butt, Harriet, with Jade! She was considerate and understanding of Harriet's background of reactivity and took the time to make sure she was comfortable. We loved the videos and pictures we received while we were away from our girl! It is so refreshing to know our dog was in safe, loving hands while we were on our honeymoon. Thank you, Jade, you are an amazing human!”

“She took great care of my dogs, Beau and Tilly! They loved running around in her big backyard and playing with her dog, Winston. I will definitely book with her again!”

“We are so incredibly thankful for the care that our doodle received from Kaitlyn and her husband! We received pictures and updates during his stay, which really gave us a piece of mind! We are more than pleased with the care our pup received! Many many thanks!!! :-)”

“Karissa and her family took care of our Lucy like she was part of their family! I will definitely continue to have them watch our girl when we are in need of a boarder!”

About: I have regularly fostered dogs for the past five years and have worked with over 75 dogs and counting. I have so loved this experience meeting new friends of all breeds, needs, shapes and sizes and would love to meet your pup as well! I have even had the experience and privilege of taking puppies numerous times to the nursing home to meet with residents there, bringing with them their puppy joy and cheer. Please let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to help! Our family follows the school schedule during the week day, leaving at 8:15 and arriving home around 3:30pm. If needed, I can allow for one bathroom break mid day. There is a room officially dedicated in our house to the animals that I watch and foster. They would have this room all to themselves for when they come stay (no need to share with other pets!). There are pee pads and litter boxes also available if needed. Please see pictures of the room located under the sitter profile. I also have a crate available and an x pen if your furry friend prefers that. I have a fenced in front and back yard that has been visited and approved by the Humane Society.
“Amy and Pete or hands down the best Dog Sitter we have ever used through all the years that we have owned various animals. From start to finish, they made our experience away from our pets more than above and beyond. they sent numerous pictures and videos, kept us updated and truly made it feel like they loved our dogs in their home. I can’t stress enough how much I recommend them to everybody I know! Thanks for taking such amazing care of our boys! We honestly can’t wait to book another trip just for having the peace of mind knowing that they will be well taken care of.”

“Caitlin and Adam were absolutely amazing and so accommodating! Our dog, had the best time at their place for the holiday. They sent a ton of photos and were incredible. I could not have asked for a better experience.”

“Elisabeth treated our girl so well. Zoey had a wonderful time playing, being groomed, and running with the other pups. Elisabeth sent pictures daily and kept me updated on Zoey's daily activities. Highly recommend.”

“Samantha has 2 friendly dogs, a designated gated space for the dogs, and a large fenced in backyard. My dogs felt instantly comfortable playing with her dogs! I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs there and appreciated daily photos, I could tell my dogs were having a great time! Would definitely use her again”

About: I have fed, cuddled, and played with many different cats and dogs that we had from childhood until now. Pets of all kinds, have always been a part of my family and I would love to be a part of yours when you need to get away! I work from home so my schedule is flexible, accomodating mornings and evenings, which is perfect to tuck your little one in or feed them breakfast. I am available to drop in for walks, feedings, or even just socialization at your descretion. Anytime of day works for me as I can schedule around your needs.
“Our dog Winnie had a great time with Dawn! She was very happy when we picked her up! Dawn sent photos of Winnie while we were away and she looked like she was enjoying herself! I would highly recommend Dawn and plan on using her services again when we take our summer vacation!”

“Brian, Abigail (and their kids) were INCREDIBLE. It was amazing how much they really cared about the dogs, and how quickly they made our two dogs feel at home. We have two large dogs, one a puppy, and this was our first time leaving the two together. Their family took the dogs on walks/adventures, let them play in the sprinkler, and constantly kept them entertained and well-exercised. They sent daily pictures and updates, and gave us tremendous peace of mind that our dogs were happy and comfortable while we were away. We would 100% work with them again and highly recommend them!”

This was the first time we left our dogs for more than a weekend. Dave was great for the dogs, they alway looked so relaxed when he would send photos. They had a great time playing with his furry babies in his awesome backyard. We will definitely be booking him again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Liguori home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Liguori.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Liguori sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
