“Rowdy had a fantastic time! Rachel kept us updated with regular messages and shared a collection of vibrant pictures that captured all the fun moments. It was delightful to see how much joy Rowdy experienced through her snapshots. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a dog sitter who provides plenty of attention and excellent care for your furry friend!”

“Champ had a great time on his staycation with Morgan and Eric. They took great care of him and gave me regular updates. I appreciated the clear communication and sweet photos!”

“As always, Ashley and Wes are phenomenal. Oliver Walter spent the weekend and we had no worries, cute pics and a tired/happy dog upon our return. Definitely 5 + 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“Great communication during the entire stay. Ramen made friends with Haley's own cat and arrived back home calm and very much his normal personality, both good indicators he had a comfortable stay. Thank you for loving our boy while we were away.”

“2nd time we used Laura to watch our Layla. She is absolutely awesome with her. Layla only has 3 legs and has issues walking on wood floors. She always lays out carpet squares and rugs to help her. Highly recomend Laura!!”

“My normal sitter was out of town so I had to find another sitter to watch my Charlie. As a typical doggy parent, I was really nervous about letting someone I didn’t know watch him. After going to thru all the reviews and pictures, I decided to choose Karissa. Well, she didn’t disappoint. She was constantly in contact with me throughout the weekend to assure that my little man was enjoying himself and in good hands. She sent plenty of pictures of him playing and gave plenty of updates. If you’re having any doubt at all about leaving your fur baby with a stranger, don’t have any doubt at all with Karissa. Will definitely use her again if need be. Thanks again Karissa!”

About: Hi I’m Christina! I’ve been a vet tech for 20 years and currently still working in a clinic and I pet sit all the time for friends, family and church fam! I’ve decided to move on up and join rover to expand my love and care for animals. I’m trained in dog/cat handing, emergency, body language and administering medication. I just love what I do! Tour anytime! I’m allowed to bring my animals to work and they absolutely love it! Always hands on. My yard is very large and it works great for running and playtime. My neighbor dogs are so sweet! My pets are crate trained. I also have other large crates and the space! Free range is ok with me! I carry potty pads and diapers for male dogs just in case. I have a little senior Yorkie who needs them too.

About: Honestly I love taking care of animals. I have a few of my own. Salem (cat) and Oscar (pup) Salem is very laid back and so friendly it’s insane. And Oscar being a puppy loves being around anyone and any pet. I currently work full time M-F but please know I will always make time for your fur babies. I’m usually available after 5pm on weekdays and I’m always available on weekends. I do not have a fenced in yard unfortunately but I do have a big grass area behind my house. We have a dog park we can go to nearby if permitted by owner
“Ashley wasted out Shepsky while we were on a float trip. She sent pictures. Jersey made herself right at home next to the chair. Her children played with her. Will definitely book her again.”

“Monica was amazing! This was our first experience with using Rover and I cannot recommend Monica enough. If I could give 10 stars I would. She provided daily updates with pictures, she has a fenced yard and has room for them to play. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our two puppies were well cared for and enjoying themselves. I highly recommend Monica.”

“Sherry was great! She was very kind, easy to communicate with, and kept us updated with pictures throughout the stay. Our dog instantly loved being there, I could tell he was very well taken care of.”

About: I have had a dog almost every year of my life and I have worked in an animal hospital for 8 years. I have taken care of dogs of all sizes from 6lb yorkies to 85lb goldens! I am a retired individual who loves hanging out with my family and taking care of dogs. I clean houses during the week but that provides me a very flexible schedule as it is on my time. As I am a trusted individual to clean other's houses, I know how to be respectful of other's spaces and leave them in a better condition than I arrive. My house is always picked up so no worries of dogs eating small toys or items that could harm them.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
90% of Herculaneum sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Herculaneum landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Herculaneum home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Herculaneum.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Herculaneum sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
