âCiel was an incredible sitter for my cat! She sent small updates and pictures each day, and I never worried about how my cat was doing. It made it so easy to travel for the holidays without him. Highly recommend her!!â

âIâve been having Rachel drop in for our new puppy and she has been wonderful! Sheâs great with Finley and makes the most of the time while dropping in. She has been very professional and understanding given that my schedule and my fiancĂŠâs schedule changes frequently and sometimes last minute. I highly recommend Rachel!â

âWhat a weight Teresa took off my shoulders knowing Teresa was watching my babies so my husband and I could take a moment to ourselves. I didnât have to worry as the check ins were on time and we received plenty of photos. Thank you for taking such great care of my babies.â

âAndrew was great while doing drop-ins during a family vacation, going above and beyond for our dog. My dog has never been happier when returning from a vacation. So, I would reccomend Andrew for any dog-sitting.â

âJill was excellent. She was punctual and did a great job keeping me informed on Gibsonâs activities at each visit. It was a great experience for both of us!â

About: Experience volunteering at local cat cafe and caring for friends/familyâs pets. Just like dogs, I also look forward to taking my own daily walks! :) Iâm the proud mom of 2 cats and I specialize in caring for pets with anxiety. My main job is as a dance teacher, so I only work after school/work ends for our students. This leaves my mornings and mid-days free for walks and furry friends! I am always respectful of clientsâ property (and pets of course)! My house currently does not accept pets but I love spending time outside and stopping by to provide needed care.

âJenny did a great job caring for our pets while we were away for the day. She was very kind and responsive and sent real time updates during the visits. Two of our dogs are shy/fearful due to traumatic pasts and she was understanding and accommodating to them. Weâre very appreciative.â

âNicole was phenomenal! She gave my diabetic cat her insulin injections while I was away. She was very responsive and sent updates which eased any worries I had. I didnât need care for my dog this time around but next time I do, I will be reaching out to her in particular. You can tell she cares about animals so you know your babies will be in good hands. If youâre in need of any care I would definitely recommend her!â

About: Hello, my name is Maggie! I have been a dog owner of 2 great pups for 10 years now! One of them is 15 years old so I do have experience taking care of older dogs. I have also raised a puppy so I have experience with younger dogs as well. I am so excited to meet a bunch of new pups. I am a recent Bucknell grad and am currently working with AmeriCorps with flexible hours so taking care of your dogs will be first priority. I'll take your dogs on a hike, cuddle at home, on a small walk or anything else! I am very reliable and a huge dog and cat lover. I'm willing to walk your dogs in any kind of weather and give them the love they deserve. I have also grown up with 3 cats so I am extremely comfortable taking care of them as well. I am currently serving with AmeriCorps with flexible full time hours. I am able to stop home at lunch or before and after work to check on your pets! I am comfortable taking your pets out for walks, playing fetch in the backyard, crating dogs, cleaning litter boxes and anything else your pet needs!
About: Iâve been caring for peoples pets since I was 16 and have had a dog ever since I was born. I have grown up with different breeds and sizes of dogs and can handle almost anything. Whether it be a quick pop in for play outdoors or sleepovers I have done it all with a variety of ages of pets and breeds. I have taken care of senior pets that have needed extra attention (ie diapers, meds). My schedule can be a little hectic and not always set to specific times. Some weeks I have more availability than others. I will make it a priority to take care of your fur baby. Pets are part of the family. We cuddle on the couch, go for walks, play fetch until we get tired, and fall asleep watching movies.
About: I treat every pet as if they were my own. You can rest easy knowing your pet will be in loving, capable hands with someone who truly understands and appreciates animals. I have a flexible summer schedule, which allows me plenty of time to provide attentive, loving care for your pets while youâre away. Iâm dedicated to making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for in your absence. Your petâs safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment where your animal can feel at ease and I follow any instructions closely!
âI contacted Montana for Drop in Visits for my two high energy dogs. She communicated clearly, was wonderful with the pups, got them fed, walked and spent time playing with them. I got great photos and updates throughout the visit. I highly recommend her!â

About: I cat sit for my neighbor for long periods of time when she goes away. Iâve been an animal owner since the age of 3. Currently Iâm in school for nursing but donât have classes Monday and Wednesday as well as the weekend. Those days Iâm hoping to spend time with pets. Caring for pets in my home I will have them on a leash if outside just in case they like to run away. At a clients home Iâll follow the directions to ensure perfect pet care.
About: Large Animal Science graduate, have completed the vet tech, dog grooming, and agility courses at BCAHS. Experience with diverse/exotic animal caretaking rolls, canine cpr certified, lots of experience with difficult dog breeds. My schedule with work is very flexible. Usually I tend to walk my dog for a 1-2 hours a day. It is extremely important that my dog Nala gets exercise each day to make sure she stays happy and healthy. Sometimes I also take my cat on the walks as well (he loves spending time outside with his sister with his harness and leash on!). Weekends have much more flexibility with my schedule. It is extremely important to make sure that any animal feels comfortable in their environment. Giving them the opportunity to take bathroom breaks and keeping pets on their normal schedule is very important. Giving pets access to fresh drinking water, specific foods, and medications as needed is also crucial. Providing proper exercise and mental enrichment only helps to further improve an animalâs experience in their surroundings as well.
âMakahalee was timely, professional, and conmunicative. Our Giant Schnauzer can be a little intimidating, but Makahalee was unphased. We'd happily trust her to take care of our pup again, and I sincerely hope we get the chance! She was a real natural!â

About: I have vast experience working with many different animals, and one of my greatest strengths is helping make the animals I work with feel comfortable. I am certain that I could do the same with your animals too! Specifically, the animals that I work with range from box turtles, cats, small dogs, and large dogs. I am currently a student at Capital University, but I am willing to squeeze in time on my breaks and during the summer to walk and/or take care of your fur babies for whenever you need!! I have a very flexible schedule and would be willing to work with you in order to meet your pet's needs! My services include house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. You give me a time and place and I'll be there for your fur baby!
âLisa was great with our puppies for a few drop-in visits while we were out of town for the day. She kept in contact when she was at our house and provided updates with how the puppies were doing along with some pictures. We got back late, so she even checked the next morning to make sure they were okay when we got home which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Lisa for all of your dog sitting needs! Thank you so much, Lisa!!â

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lewisburg
Makahalee was wonderful with our dog! She even did a meet and greet with us and our dog prior to her coming for the first time. She took her outside and spent time playing with her both inside & outside. She also sent multiple pictures of her, played ball with her, and made sure she had food and water before she left. Our dog loves playing with her and looked so happy in all the pictures Makahalee shared đ

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
