About: Hi! I’m Haley, a stay at home mom and lifelong animal lover who understands that pets are family not just animals. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away, so you can enjoy your time knowing they’re in caring hands. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a family that rescued animals, and my mom has worked in the veterinary field her entire career. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom to my three little ones, I spent years working in animal hospitals, where I gained experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. That background taught me how important patience, consistency, and attention to detail are when it comes to caring for animals. At home, we have three playful kittens and a friendly dog, so your pet will be staying with someone who truly understands their needs. We also have a large backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and get plenty of exercise. I know every pet is different, which is why I do my best to stick to their normal routine. Whether that means feeding schedules, potty breaks, medications, walks, cuddle time, or simply giving them space to relax! I’ll care for your pet the way you do at home. I believe keeping their routine as consistent as possible helps reduce stress and makes them feel comfortable. When your pet stays with me, they’ll be treated like part of the family. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, playtime, and updates while you’re away so you always know they’re happy and well cared for. I know how hard it can be to trust someone with your furry family member, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I’d be honored to care for your pet and provide them with a safe, loving home away from home. I am currently a stay at home mom to four children, I am available almost 24/7 to be able to care for your pet, and have a very flexible schedule I have a decent sized yard, it is not fenced in but your pet will never be left unsupervised outside. I am a firm believer that pets are family and will be treated as such. There is no limitations on where your pet will be allowed to go in my home. They want to jump up on the couch for some snuggles? Go right ahead. Feel more comfortable at night in my room? Come right on in. The way your pet is cared for at your home is how they will be treated here.
“Lilian (Lily) was so kind, caring and patient with my kilo💙 Her communication was great the entire stay! She kept me updated and sent me pictures throughout the day. When I went to pick him up he did not wanna leave. That lets me know he felt safe and loved with her and her pets. Thank you Again. We will definitely be back!”

“My 13 year old Pumpkin is having a blast at Tanita and Terrence's home. I can tell Pumpkin is really enjoying being there and she'll be going back soon! Thanks for taking good care of her!”

“Jessica and Nick have been watching Sara Mae during the workday for a couple of months now. Sara Mae's DaDa died just this past April and she had to move from a nice home in Charlottesville with a big porch and yard, to live with me in a DC apartment. She is a fairly anxious dog to begin with, and as you can imagine under tremendous stress and depression the past few months, getting sick a lot and not eating, especially when I had to return to work. She went from nearly 65lbs at her healthy weight, to 45lbs in two months. Since staying with Jessica and Nick during the day during the work week, she has started to calm down, is now eating again, and putting weight back on that she had lost due to depression and stress. Jessica and Nick are quite literally life savers, and I cannot thank them enough for easing my mind about Sara Mae and being a huge part of the process of helping her get to a new, healthy, normal while I have to be at work. Your fur babies are in good hands!”

About: I’ve always had a pet ever since I can remember. Dogs, cats, potbelly pigs, hedgehogs, you name it. My love for pets guides my life. I have three rescue dogs of my own. I have owned puppies and also have experience with senior dogs. I have a very well sized back yard that is fenced in. Your animal will be in amazing care on my watch, as I would treat them as my own. I own my own business so my schedule is very flexible. I am able to doggie board on weekends. I am able to drop in and dog walk throughout the day Monday- Sunday. I am well experienced with puppy care & senior care. From administering pills or oral medication to crating animal when needed I am well experienced with it all. I have years of experience and have had animals with a wide range of needs. I love animals with all of my heart and provide compassionate care. If you are interested in dog sitting I can provide services in your home or mine. I only ask that the dog is crate trained because I also have dogs and will need to take turns letting your pets & my pets outside into my backyard for restroom, play, & exercise. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in back yard that your dogs will enjoy.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
