It was very clear to us that our dog was very happy while at Amanda's. She is great, communicates very well. For sure he will go back, in addition he developed friendship with other dogs!”

About: As dog parents with experience in fostering, we know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. We’ll take the time to learn your dog’s personality, routine, and favorite things so they feel comfortable while you’re away. We understand that every dog is different, some love playtime and long walks, while others prefer a slower pace and extra cuddles. We will follow your care instructions closely and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel connected and confident that your dog is being cared for. I work a very flexible hybrid schedule, and my husband works fully remotely, so someone is always home throughout the day. Caring for our own dogs is already part of our daily routine, and we work together to provide potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. We believe walks and enrichment are important parts of keeping dogs happy and fulfilled. We make time for walks that let dogs set the pace and enjoy plenty of sniffing, along with enrichment activities tailored to their interests and energy levels. We also enjoy visiting local parks and fields for more exploring. At home, we have a tether anchored in the backyard for supervised outdoor time, and we will always follow your dog’s comfort level and preferences when/if you prefer for it to be used. Before booking, we’ll discuss your pet’s needs and usual routine to make sure our schedule and activities are a good fit. Whether your pet stays in our home or I visit them in yours, their safety and comfort are always a priority. Before booking, we’ll discuss their personality, routines, and any special needs so we can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable. For stays in our home, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet to see how your dog gets along with ours and make sure everyone is a good fit. We’ll discuss feeding arrangements, supervision, and any boundaries your dog needs, including having their own space to relax. Outdoor tether time is always supervised and only offered with your approval. For walks and drop-in visits, I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, and home security. We’ll also go over any triggers, escape tendencies, or other concerns so I know what to watch for. You’ll receive photos and updates, and your pet will get plenty of attention, patience, and care.
“Lynda is an excellent dog-sitter! She was so great to deal with- responsive, communicative and flexible with drop off and pick up times. You can definitely see how much Lynda loves dogs. Our dog is the anxious type, but Lynda worked really well with him. Thanks so much for your excellent care of Rosco!”

“Sruthi and Abha were wonderful with our senior dog! They were very attentive to her and were fantastic about giving us updates! We would definitely book with them again!”

“Our dog Milo had a great time with Tatiana! I feel he also went on vacation, lots of love from both Tatiana and Sean. She updated me with pics every day! Definitely recommended and will rebook in the future.”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! Our dog is very high energy and requires a lot of attention, exercise and patience. Kathleen handled everything beautifully. We came home to a happy, healthy and well-cared-for pup. Communication was excellent throughout our trip with regular updates and photos that showed how much fun our dog was having, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dog was treated with genuine care and affection not just looked after. We highly recommend Kathleen to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring dog sitter. We'll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Heather had her hands full with my 7 month old lab/husky puppy. She accepted the challenge and took great care of Meadow. I appreciated the updates and pictures. Would highly recommend Heather as a pet sitter.”

“Marla was an amazing host! This was our first time leaving our girl and Marla kept us with peace of mind our entire trip with regular messages and pictures. She is very accommodating and kept our dog active and busy. Our flight was delayed last minute and she was completely understanding and helped us keep our dog safe and happy until we got home. I don’t have enough kind words to say about her! We will be booking with Marla and her family again in the future!”

“We entrusted our beloved dog, Gus, to Sarah for the weekend, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience for him. Sarah and her family welcomed Gus into their home with open arms, providing a loving and warm environment. It was evident that they treated him as one of their own, attending to all his needs with great care. The affection and attention they showered on Gus were beyond what we could have hoped for. By the end of the weekend, it was clear Gus had thoroughly enjoyed his stay; he was almost reluctant to leave such a wonderful company. We wholeheartedly recommend Sarah's services to anyone who wants their pet to have a delightful and caring home away from home.”

“Jenna has always provided excellent care for my dogs. She's great with communication, provides pictures and updates, and has been understanding and accommodating to emergency schedule changes. Most importantly, my dogs get really excited to go to her house, so I know that they're being well taken care of.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lederach
Adrienne was such a great sitter for my dog, Holly. Ahead of time, she did a meet and greet and wanted to make her as comfortable as possible. She was very communicative during the booking and always provided pictures with updates. Anyone should feel comfortable with Adrienne.

We had a wonderful experience! We needed someone to watch our two Golden Retrievers on very short notice after our original sitter had to cancel, and Kayleen was able to accommodate us without hesitation. We were looking for a home environment where our dogs would have plenty of room to play and burn off their energy, and that’s exactly what they got. We also loved receiving daily pictures, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed their stay. We couldn’t be more pleased with the care they received and will definitely be using Kayleen again. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lederach home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lederach.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lederach sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
