â1st visit with Christina and was really impressed with how she handled our dog. She was super knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable leaving her there. Weâre most definitely going to request her services again!â

âWe love taking Belle to Melissa. We feel she is safe with her and her family. Iâm so happy I found Melissa and Belle has a great relationship. Belle moved from a different part of Illinois where she was the neighborhood dog and everyoneâs friend. Melissaâs service has eased our minds and we are greatly appreciative. Thank you Melissa!â

About: I've watched pets for friends and family since I was a teenager. I am comfortable with all breeds of dogs and cats and will love them like they are my own. I can't wait to meet you and your fur baby. I am currently a stay at home spouse and looking for ways to make extra income doing something I love. I am extremely flexible with my schedule and will make the time to make things work. I have a cat that seems to get along with other animals, but haven't put it to the test too much. I have walked and pet sat for several clients with bigger dogs and that have special needs and am comfortable with them all. I do always try and do a meet and greet before our first visit so your pet can get to know me before they are left alone with me.
âWe feel like Loya is part of our family!! We send out two pups to Loyaâs once a week for daycare! My digs love her and her pups! I highly recommend her services! đđâ

âNicole was amazing with Simba! She was kind, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease. Weâre so grateful for her help and would absolutely recommend her. Thank you, Nicole! đžâ

About: Iâve loved and cared for dogs my whole lifeâat least five of my own since childhood! Iâve learned how to understand their personalities and needs, and even trained my current dog to be calm and social. My home is cozy, welcoming, and set up for a dogâs comfort and routine. I provide the same love, structure, and attention to every pup I watch, making sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home while youâre away. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I love starting the day with a morning walk and taking another in the evening to wind down. Iâm also available on weekends with at least a weekâs noticeâperfect for when you need a reliable sitter for your pup. In my home, dogs are treated like family. I have a friendly pup who loves making new friends and keeping other dogs company. Thereâs a cozy space where pets can relax, nap, or be crated if they need their own quiet time. My fenced yard gives them plenty of room for potty breaks and playtime in a safe environment. If Iâm caring for your dog in your home, Iâll follow their normal routines to help them feel secure and loved while youâre away. Whether at your place or mine, I focus on creating a peaceful, happy experience for every pup.

About: Iâve been surrounded by animals my entire life, growing up with dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and many other furry and feathered companions. I firmly believe that a house isnât truly a home without a four-legged friend. Over the years, Iâve provided pet care for family and friends, caring for up to five dogs at a time of varying breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I also have experience caring for cats, including both indoor and outdoor pets. My background is in nursing, which has given me valuable experience with responsibility, attention to detail, and caring for animals with special medical needs. However, my love for animals has always been just as strong as my passion for helping people. My family and I recently relocated from St. Louis, Missouri, to St. Jacob, Illinois. My husband and daughter share my love for animals, and our home is currently filled with the company of our three beloved cats. Earlier this year, we said goodbye to our sweet dog, Roxy, after 17 wonderful years together. Her absence has left a noticeable void in our home, and we miss the sound of her sassy little feet following us around. While we take our time deciding when weâre ready to welcome another dog into our family, Iâve decided to return to pet sitting and expand my services. Caring for animals brings me joy, and I would be honored to provide loving, dependable care for your pets while youâre away. Whether itâs daily walks, drop-in visits, medication administration, or vacation care, you can rest assured your pets will be treated like family. I'm currently a stay at home mom and can offer plenty of flexibility for your pet's care needs whether that is drop in visits, walks, or boarding. We live on a 2+ acre lot with lots of room to run/walk around the property. We do not currently have a fenced in yard so dogs would need to be on a leash to ensure their safety while staying with us. We have lots of walking paths in our area that we can offer for exercise. If your dog likes a quiet place to rest, we have used our laundry room as a quiet area for pets.
About: Iâve grown up with dogs in the house hold as far back as I could remember! I have a genuine love for animals in general but especially our canine friends. I have served in law enforcement for nearly a decade and with that said safety, security and transparency are top of my list of priorities. I have worked closely with dogs my entire life and have trained several dogs to learn simple and more advanced commands which improves the overall behavior and wellbeing of any dog. My schedule is extremely flexible and all it takes is an open line of communication and most scheduling need can be met to fit the owners requests. Its important for me that a clients pet is treated like my own. I believe it takes integrity to car for someoneâs dog and because they can not speak for themselves it worries pet owners that their dog may be mistreated when being cared for by another person. Rest assured I would make it my mission to treat your dog as if he/she were my own. My home is located on nearly 2 acres grassy open fields, with over 4000 sq ft of that space being fenced in for plenty of outdoor activities.
About: I've trained and have been a parent to numerous breeds. Right now my wife and I have 2 adorable golden doodles. I take care of the house and yard and keep it clean I will feed them and play with them. I will let them out and clean up any messes they may l leave. I will check in on them multiple times.

Whether your pet needs extra playtime, a calming presence, or gentle senior support, Iâve got them covered. I work night shift, which means my days are completely free for pet care. I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, dropins, and giving your pet lots of attention. In my home, I make sure pets feel comfortable and safe right away. I keep their routine consistent, give lots of attention, playtime, and regular potty breaks to keep them relaxed and happy.

I worked as a professional dog bather for almost a year and I am very comfortable around them all and I absolutely love cats too. I have grown up with animals my whole life and care for each and every animal like it is my own. â¤ď¸ I am also an animal photographer so I will definitely send you lots of photos of your babies! I am currently a stay at home mom with a newborn, so your fur babies must be good around babies, if not Iâm sure we can work something out since I am home all the time now! đ I am a stay at home mom, so my time is very flexible. I have experience with bathing, brushing and trimming nails if they ever need that done. Just let me know while they are in my care. I have a fenced in yard where your fur baby can run and play with my 2 dogs. I have cats too but if your dog isnât fond of them I can easily keep them separate. About: I have had my own pets since I was a young child. I have taken care of many of my friends, family, neighbors, and church members pets over the years. I love dogs and kitties and believe they deserve to be well taken care of. They depend on us to be good to them and are at our mercy. If they are mistreated they can't say anything. This makes it that much more important to be good to our pets. I am not currently working so I have a lot of free time. I have 6 grown children who are on thier own. Two in college, the rest with their own families. I have one friendly lab mix who loves playmates. A fenced in yard, doggie door, and all hardwood floors so accidents are not tragic! Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lebanon commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
