“My little 4m puppy Tula had a blast !! I felt so good knowing she was safe and happy, playing with other puppies and kiddos. I loved all the update photos and videos too. I don’t think she was ready to leave ! Thank you Crystal and family 😁”

“Destiny did an amazing job taking care of Nova. Nova was very happy there. Destiny included Nova in lots of fun and sent pictures during her stay. Destiny was so kind and understanding of Nova’s needs. We were lucky to find her.”

“Tessa and Tyler took great care of our Gordon and made him feel at home. They were very good about keeping me in the know as his stay progressed and were available for any questions I had. All in all a great experience and I would highly recommend Tessa and Tyler to anyone needing a sitter for their fur baby. Could not be happier! 5/5”

“Great care for our Minka! Consistent updates with pics. Daily trips to the dog park. Very pleased with the care of our dog. Will definitely continue to use them in the future.”

“My dog had a great time with Cameron and her dog Bo. I was updated daily on the fun they were having. She treated my dog like part of the family. We will definitely use Cameron in the future.”

“Cecilia took good care of my high energy pup. Poppy (our 1 year old lab mix) had never stayed anywhere other than our house or camper before. Cecilia was able to deal with her initial anxiousness and help her settle in for a nice week long stay.”

About: Former dog owner (Luna & Scout) — long daily walks, parks, overnight boarding, feeding routines. Reliable, responsive, I'll treat your dog like my own in Springfield. Flexible and reliable, I always make pet care a priority in my routine. Whether it's daily walks, check-ins, or playtime, your pet’s needs come first. I prioritize safety and comfort by creating a pet-friendly environment. I follow routines, use positive reinforcement, and ensure pets feel secure and loved at all times.
About: I have cared for many family and friends’ pets and am a dog mom myself. I have a spacious fenced backyard and a 11 lb pup for your furry friend to play with, my chiweenie Loki. I work from home and live a couple blocks away from the Amazon trails and dog park. I am very flexible to give your furry friend attention as needed throughout the day. I have a fenced yard I let Loki freely come and go from- and of course your pup would have the same care. I spend a lot of time working in the garden, house projects, and creating art, but my favorite part of the day is playing with Loki. I’m happy to provide whatever care/routine you are looking for.
“Seemed to be very caring with our dog and stayed in touch with us. Baxter came home and seemed happy and ready to crawl into his favorite space and take a long nap.”

About: I've raised 2 puppies who spent their whole life with me. I've adopted 1 rescue and 1 senior. They have had health issues (particularly the rescue and senior) so I'm familiar with some of the early and intermediate signs. We are now at a point in our lives where we want to still spend time with dogs, but we aren't looking for the 24/7 commitment. So we would like to host your furry baby for a night or a weekend and give him all the joy of a good friendship without the kennel experience of a dog hotel. We will be taking on pet care Friday thru Sunday. We may be able to support an emergency during the week, but since we both work full time, that would mean I would need to work from home for a day (which is pawsible with notice). However, it would not be our preferred schedule. We want to spend time with your dogs playing and relaxing - not just leaving them in an unfamiliar space while we are at the office. We are looking for day or overnight services on the weekends when we are free and planning to be home. We would expect you to bring enough food and medication to last their expected stay plus 1 day (in case of unforeseen circumstances). Then leave the rest to us. We will give regular bathroom breaks and play times (no yard), much love and pets and be vigilant about your recommended food/medicine. We do not look forward to creating your animal. So we expect at least one of us (husband or wife) to be home at all times and we expect your dog to be housebroken.
“I would highly recommend Caleb to everyone! At our meet and greet, he asked a ton of questions about my pup, Atticus, and took notes of his needs and habits. Atticus is a very itchy boy and the fact that he came home without any hotspots is a testament to Caleb's attentiveness to care. Given the opportunity, I would not hestitate to book with Caleb again. He's also a great dog photographer, to say the least!”

About: I grew up with dogs my whole life. I have one of my own. I have trained and raised a couple puppies and housesit and cared for many dogs. I also have veterinary care experience. My schedule is currently very open and I am looking to add caring for animals more into my life as it is something I really genuinely enjoy so I’m available for last minute or prepared ahead of time plans I have a fenced in backyard, with access to a doggie door. I have a miniature dachshund, and a domestic shorthaired cat. My animals rule the roost and are cared for exceptionally well. With access to food and water and a cool house with comfortable beds.
“Alysha took amazing care of Woody, and he got lots of love and exercise while staying with her. The text updates were great and very reassuring to hear our boy was doing well. We were very impressed with the ease of booking and the price. We will definitely book with Alysha again for any future dog sitting needs! Thank you again Alysha!”
“Ruthie was amazing, communicative, sent awesome pictures the whole time, and my dogs loved it. Ruthie even created a little doggie bag to go with a report card review of how great the dogs were. This is a really sweet touch and next time we are in Eugene we will definitely seek out Ruthie and Jolly Olly again - thanks again for everything.”
“She was so friendly with my little man and did an amazing job with him over the weekend. Even kept him an extra day for us. I would recommend her to everyone and definitely will be using her services again. She was very polite, very accommodating, and my little man adored her”

“Thank you for taking such great care of our dog, Bluey, for an extended stay. It is clear that he was well loved, well exercised and well taken care of. We will definitely be a soon-returning customer! THANK YOU!”

“Kierstin took such a good care of my girl La Flaca! I have such a hard time leaving her and Kiertin made me feel extremely comfortable and provided a lot of updates and cute photos. Highly recommend and will be utilizing her services again.”

“She is a lovely lady who cares about the animals she takes in. My two girls (xsm and med) had no complaints. They enjoyed meeting her pooch a few days before and I left that interview with full confidence I didn't need to lose any sleep about my pups staying with a stranger. I booked a 4 days stay and picked up 2 happy animals when it was so over. She has a country home and my pups had more freedom than usual. That was a nice treat for them. She made sure they got their bathroom breaks and followed all my instructions. It was a very good experience. I would happily book with her again if I needed the extra help.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Leaburg home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Leaburg.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Leaburg sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
