“Gunner really enjoyed staying with Joel and Crystal. They were so nice and took gunner on a last minute need. This was our first doggie day care and they made the whole experience very easy. They even sent us pictures with an update on how he was doing. Great prices, great service, great people. Thank you so much...you have earned a repeat customer.”

“We had a very good experience with Katelyn. Lovely family. A few small and delightful kids. Our beagle, Lucy, got on well with their larger dog. Katelyn is our new go-to provider. Lucy will be with her again this coming weekend.”

“Leaving our dog with Keith and family was a great experience. We received daily updates with pictures and knew that he was being loved on the whole time. It was like a vacation for him, while we were off vacationing. I can’t recommend Keith and family enough.”

“Amy & Robert are great pup sitters, and Oakland is a wonderful doggie host 🐾 lots of communication, care and kindness. I think Maple is a bit sad to be home 😆 We will definitely use them again! Thank you!”

“Dylan was a wonderful dog sitter for Skittles!! We will absolutely use Dylan again. Thank you so much for giving Skittles so much love and sending updates regularly.”

“Joshua was available last minute over the holidays and was so great! He kept in touch with us every day and our dogs came home clean (which is nearly impossible for our mud-seeker doodle!), happy, and tired out. We will absolutely be booking again in the future.”

“Griffin is gentle, soft-spoken, and was sweet and patient with our timid little dog. We really appreciated that he sent us photos during our dog’s stay, which was reassuring that she had settled in and looked plenty comfortable. Although he lives in an upstairs apartment with a balcony, he took our dog out regularly, several times a day. He was conscientious, and communicated well.”

“Teresa was the best person we could have pick to leave our puppy with. She sent lots of pictures and eased our mind. We were so scared to leave her for the first time with someone we didn’t know, but we are glad we chose Teresa.”

“Jacqueline took great care of our dog while we were away for the weekend. She gave us lots of updates and sent frequent pictures so we knew our buddy was doing well. When we picked him up, he seemed pooped, so we know he got lots of attention and exercise. We would 100% have our fur baby stay with Jacqueline again!”

About: I've raised 2 puppies who spent their whole life with me. I've adopted 1 rescue and 1 senior. They have had health issues (particularly the rescue and senior) so I'm familiar with some of the early and intermediate signs. We are now at a point in our lives where we want to still spend time with dogs, but we aren't looking for the 24/7 commitment. So we would like to host your furry baby for a night or a weekend and give him all the joy of a good friendship without the kennel experience of a dog hotel. We will be taking on pet care Friday thru Sunday. We may be able to support an emergency during the week, but since we both work full time, that would mean I would need to work from home for a day (which is pawsible with notice). However, it would not be our preferred schedule. We want to spend time with your dogs playing and relaxing - not just leaving them in an unfamiliar space while we are at the office. We are looking for day or overnight services on the weekends when we are free and planning to be home. We would expect you to bring enough food and medication to last their expected stay plus 1 day (in case of unforeseen circumstances). Then leave the rest to us. We will give regular bathroom breaks and play times (no yard), much love and pets and be vigilant about your recommended food/medicine. We do not look forward to creating your animal. So we expect at least one of us (husband or wife) to be home at all times and we expect your dog to be housebroken.
“Sabrina and Derrick were wonderful. My dog did not make it easy for them but they were patient and kept me well updated. They were very communicative from the time I contacted them about booking till the time I picked up my dog at the end of her stay. I would definitely recommend them, especially for dogs who enjoy socializing with other dogs.”

“Alysha took amazing care of Woody, and he got lots of love and exercise while staying with her. The text updates were great and very reassuring to hear our boy was doing well. We were very impressed with the ease of booking and the price. We will definitely book with Alysha again for any future dog sitting needs! Thank you again Alysha!”
About: I always help my best friend and coworkers with their pets whenever they need. I care so much about pets as much as other human beings. I enjoy working with pets on my days off. I am a Nurse working part time at the hospital. I have a 12 lb poodle at home I have fence around my house. It is safe for them to play in the yard with me. I can give them shower if they need and walk them, play with them

“Alex was great! Our pup was so excited to spend a few days with her two dogs on 9 acres of farmland. We appreciated Alex’s flexibility and that she was careful about fulfilling all his needs. She was also thoughtful about making introductions between pups and with new people. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I've taken care of animals for 15+ years. Weather it was my own animal or a friend or families I was always there to give potty breaks and train them on proper care. I also train dogs and have many years of experience training dogs to do various commands such as sit, down, roll over, and crate training. This will be my full time job so I'll have plenty of time to dedicate to your furry friend. I do have a dog and cat of my own but they are great around other dogs. I live in an apartment in the middle of campus. There is unfortunately no backyard but I ensure that your dog will get many walks and potty breaks and playtime.
About: I have spent my life as a pet owner and I like to treat everyone's animals the way I would like mine to be treated. I have, at one time or another, owned dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, rabbits, snakes, rats, goats, horses, and chickens and am comfortable caring for many more. I know this site is mostly limited to dog and cat care, but I'm happy to pet sit anything. I am happy to care for pets either in my home or in yours and I'm very flexible regarding my schedule. Every day I care for my own household animals, and I'm more than capable of taking care of plenty more. My animals include 3 dogs of varying sizes, two cats, a parrot, and an aquatic turtle. Though I have plenty of experience with other animals as well. I'm happy to either host animals in my home or venture to pets in their own homes. I believe that my job in caring for a person's pets is to adhere to their wishes for their pets. I want to follow the expectations set for any individual animal. I love to lavish animals with love and affection, but that isn't the right approach for every animal and I need to respect the wishes of their humans within the scope of safety.
“She was so friendly with my little man and did an amazing job with him over the weekend. Even kept him an extra day for us. I would recommend her to everyone and definitely will be using her services again. She was very polite, very accommodating, and my little man adored her”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Fall Creek home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Fall Creek.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Fall Creek sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
