“We could not have asked for a better sitter for our sweet Luna! From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease—and that peace of mind only grew while we were away. She went above and beyond, playing endless games of ball with Luna (which is her love language!) and keeping us updated with the sweetest photos and notes. It was clear she wasn’t just “watching” Luna—she was engaging, caring, and genuinely enjoying their time together. We’re so grateful and will absolutely be booking again!”

“Sky did an Amazing job with caring for our sweet boy Chase. And also watching over our home!! This is the first time I have used Rover as a service and I am very thankful I came across Skys name. I trust her services completely!”

About: I was a veterinary assistant for 6 years and I have lots of experience caring for dogs as well as cats. I have done pet sitting, dog walking, grooming . . . I am now a stay-at-home mom with two kids we live on a farm so we wake up early and go to bed late. That leaves us with lots of time to care for our animals. We love them and we give them the best care possible! I do have a fenced yard that is 2 acres so dogs have plenty of room to run but since I have cattle panel fencing, small dogs would be able to get through. Therefore I watch them closer and have runs outside also, we are not near any highways and live on a private road.
“Adrienne is wonderful! We were skeptical of this process, as we've always, in the past, been fortunate to use family in our home to care for our pet. Our furbaby, Stella, requires daily medication and special attention due to being a nervous nellie. She quickly fell in love with Adrienne, as she could sense the genuine love she had for her. Adrienne went above and beyond, taking Stella on extra walks, shared extra time with her outside, followed our fine detailed lengthy notes on Stella's routine and care perfectly, and she left our home just as she found it. If you're looking for someone who will love and care for your pet as if it were their own, Adrienne is the person!”

“Hannah took very good care of our pets! Our senior dog had some last minute health concerns that she was able to take on and handle through her stay. She managed all of our care requests and left our house in very clean condition. We will definitely book her again in the future!!”

“Karrie did a great job and caring for Chase and the house! When we got home Chase was his happy self and really seemed like he enjoyed Karrie’s company. The house was well taken care of as well!! Would definitely book with Karrie again!”

“Kaitlin is phenomenal! She took excellent care of our fur babies while we were traveling. She followed instructions and reached out with extra considerations. We felt secure knowing our pups (and home) were in good hands. We would absolutely recommend her to others.”

About: I have hands on, everyday experience caring for four Golden Retrievers of my own. Managing a multi dog household has given me skills in canine schedule structure, supervision, and understanding of different personalities and energy levels. I also have experience caring for infant puppies, including feeding schedules, potty training foundations, crate introduction, and the patience that can sometimes be needed during those important early development stages. I’m comfortable maintaining routines, reinforcing basic training, and providing both high-energy play and calm, attentive care. Your pet will be treated like part of my family: safe, loved, and well cared for! I work remotely full time, so I am very flexible and am able to meet you and your schedule requests, whether it be for in-home visits, walk outing, or overnight stays. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise routines, and any specific instructions closely to make sure your pet feels comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while also reinforcing any training or household rules you have in place. I’m respectful of your home, keep everything clean and organized, and always send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“Olivia was absolutely fantastic while we were on a family vacation! She took care of Stevie and loved her as her own while we were gone. She also took great care of our house and left it cleaner than when we left for vacation. We will absolutely book services again with Olivia and highly recommend her.”

“Mary was fantastic! Our dog, Ella, got plenty of walks and play. Our home was well kept, mail was stacked neatly on the counter and we came home to a calm, happy dog. We would definitely use Mary again!”

About: Good afternoon everyone, my name is Alayna and I’ve been working with animals for over 10 years In many different fields even on a farm. I have experience with a variety of animals including, snakes, lizards/ geckos, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, horses, chickens, cats and dogs. I work at a vet office and am very familiar with older pets as well as knowing how to do nail trims and baths. A couple good reasons I stand out from everyone else is that I have experience administering medicine to animals, especially cats, because I’ve been fostering them for about 5 years and I also worked at a vet hospital as a kennel attendant meaning I’ve been around all sizes of dogs plus I’m pretty great at giving baths. Another reason is that I’ve actually owned all the animals I have listed here so I have plenty of experience. My schedule is a bit complicated working full time as a vet assistant. I’m always available Friday-Saturday but other days is a bit difficult. Regardless though I’ll always find time the take care of your fur baby needs. Rather it’s a last minute trip your going on or a family emergency, your pets health and well-being is safe with me! When it comes to animal safety I’m all ears, especially when there’s more then one animal lose in the house. I take advice from the owners on how they’d like the animal to be kept such as if they wish to keep their pet in a room instead of free roam. When taking the animal outside, I will always be outside with them so no accidents are to happen. Before leaving the house, I always make sure to pick up or move anything the animal could reach they aren’t suppose to have and put it in a high or closed off area.
“Lilia was amazing with our rescue pup, Berkley! She is super calm and kind - we could tell our Berkley already felt comfortable around her the first time she met her! She sent us many photos throughout the weekend. She was very communicative and professional. We would recommend her to any friend or family member!”

About: I’ve taken care of others pets or my own most of my life. I have had my current dog for seven years. Want to be able to best meet everyone’s unique needs! I will follow any and all instructions left for me. I’ll make sure your pet feels like you never left the house and that every need is met.
“Daniel was GREAT while house sitting my golden! Very attentive and sent daily photos and even daily logs. I have already booked Daniel for another stay and will continue to book him in the future.”

“We had never used Rover before as we were hesitant to leave our babies with strangers. I chose Abby from reading her great reviews. She did an amazing job with our 2 dogs and cat. We knew they’d been well taken care of by the way they acted when we got home. She communicated well and sent daily pictures. She stayed at our home and even washed and made the bed! She left our home great. I would highly recommend her!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 432 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lawson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lawson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lawson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lawson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lawson. On Rover:

- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
